"Not all things of great value involved shiny colors and metal."

a slight grin at her.

"Quite a name. mind if I call you bell? since your obviously a female...and yes, I am. known to some as Hawk. Captain of the Chimera. let me guess. someone important would be reffering to the one they call...Lycear? or Kanzac? I know where your from. and let me guess, that little girl on the big red commander are going to try adn beat me to all the shiny rainbow glass, aren't they."
PostPosted: Thu May 17, 2007 7:07 pm

"Perceptive aren't you?" Looking to her tail and giving it a flick, tossing off what was left of netting and such on it. That was better. "Lord Lycear asked me to make sure all my maps were as current as possible. Though a chuckle. "Quite a name for your tongue to twist around, but Bell is fine." Though a blink at him and a slight adjustment of her wings. "What little girl?" She hadn't seen any little girl around. If she tripped on a little girl, she would definately know it. "And you're looking for shiny rainbow glass...what no gold or things that are better left untouhed?"

"You mean like this?"

holding up a palm-sized gold coin with a skull etching on it.

"Or what about this..."

kicking the lid off the stone chest that was still laying on the deck, filled with similar coins and gemstones and a few weapons of various styles.

"Recent hauls. but I think that rainbow glass is a bit more...potent...than you might think. Why don't you and I help eachother a bit. you get rid of the big lizard...kill it preferably...and I'll give you some of the birght shiney metal coins and gems."
PostPosted: Thu May 17, 2007 7:19 pm

"Ah I see you've already made your haul of gold and other shiney things tonight." And then suddenly, she was being propositioned for something that was most likely better if she left it alone. "Kill it...why would I kill it?" Shaking her head lightly and lifting it from the railing. "So let me get this straight, you're trying to buy off my help with shiny things, and you're not mad at me for damaging your ship a bit and such." Looking over to the cave then where that lizard dwelled...that thing was mean as all get out. "Hm...should I help the one who's trying to pick the pockets of Lord Lycear so deep?Tougie." Considering? Of course she was...she was her. Bell did have her manipulated moments of decisions and such. Almost a fix it type.

"minor damage that is little to nothing to repair with our usual haul. as for killing it, I would prefer that for a few reasons. first, it's a dumb creature which means it very well may have eaten what I'm after. two, killing it means you can leave and I don't have to worry about it sneaking up on me later."

though a slight smirk.

"Or I can ignore this and pick his pockets even deeper by telling him one of his own damaged my ship being clumsy. this way I get what I want, you get what you want, and I'll get my repairs done without your fellows learning your incident."

Flipping her tail around, she knocked Hunter in the back, gently as possibly mind you, to pitch him forward and onto her snout, tilting her head back to make him slide back between her horns. "You're coming with me. Hold on." Getting herself up and more or less trotting over to entrance of said cave with said lizard. First a few dragonic noises to lure it out.

It wasn't a pleasant creature. Quite the lower lizard form and well...kinda slobbery. She stood her ground a moment, then took to taking back steps as it stepped forward. As it lept at her, she lept over it with a wing beat, plopping behind it and turning quickly, rearing back her head before extending her neck, her breath weapon leaving her jaws. Which in Jaebelltiah's case, was frost. Anyone who knew cold blooded things, knew what happened when they were confronted with frost. Would just take a moment to put the thing into submission.

Soon enough, it wasn't looking too happy and was quite hunkered to the ground, covered in ice and frost. "Mayhaps you want to put a tarp over that so the sun doesn't heat him too fast. Even if it is setting." Turning and heading down into the hole it had crawled out of, Hunter still on her head.

Shyrae came back into awareness rather slowly. Still being a young elf, reverie was difficult for her to control. When she needed it, her body took it, regardless of where she was at the time. Her siblings often teased her about stepping over her in the hallway or the kitchen or even the living room when she'd fallen into it as a much younger elf. But then they were all older and didn't have to worry about that anymore. Only when she was really in need of it did she just fall and she'd kept that from happening. But she did feel quite disgusting. It was definitely bath time.

Emerging freshly scrubbed and smelling much much better, she stripped the bed and dumped the sheets in with her clothes, then began to search around for replacement sheets. She found a set in the closet and quickly went about making the bed, fluffing the pillows and smoothing out all wrinkles. Trick learned from her father, really. He was an obsessive neat freak. She opened the door to her room and peeked out in the hall, then carefully stepped out. She was starving.

Kaznec having left, she was laying on the bed in her room. Big bed...obvioulsy big enough to accomodate a sprawling dragon-folk. She had learned that they were called that. Interesting name that they had taken on. Her ears had twitched at the heavy steps outside, knowing who it was even as he passed. A lord roaming his home. She also recognized the opening of the door of the next room over.

He was roaming the halls of his home out of his own restlessness...why did he have to worry about that girl? Breifly he stopped by his son's room, the Laerethe's room, the blind elf's room, and had finally been coming to the one of the other elf, noticing she was coming from her room. "Emerging finally are you? I heard you did quite a number on yourself trying to help the people of Ilindal."

She bowed her head glancing down at her boots for a moment, eyeing a speck of dirt on them. That would have to come off, but first she had business to attend to. Lycear got a shy smile and she nodded slowly. "I suppose you could say that. I'm not really a healer and it was probably foolish for me to try to save such a bad case. Kronos did a much better job. You should probably extend your gratitude to him." She paused for a moment and then glanced back down both sides of the hall. "Do you think, Lord Lycear, I might be able to get something to eat? I could make it myself if you wouldn't mind, no need to get anyone up to cook for me or anything. If you could just direct me to the kitchen...?"

Eilynne emerged from her own room, nodding to the other two in the hall, and knocked gently on Savryn's door. "Lady elf, I was wondering if I might have a moment alone with you. There are a few things I should like to discuss, first and foremost your own home and secondly if you truly feel if justice was given to you in any form regarding both your circumstantial arrest and release."
PostPosted: Fri May 18, 2007 2:29 pm

"But of course you may. My home is your inn for the moment, and every good in has food readily avaliable." Gesturing for her to follow him as he turned slightly, only to blink at the Laerethe that emerged from her room and duely took to the other elf's door. He'd never understand those little creatures. But his attentiontion turned back to Shyrae, and he motioned again before starting off to the kitchen.

"Well, yes Kronos does deserve gratitude as well, but you forget that you are not from here, when he is. We've grown used to these such of things and have learned to all look out for each other. You on the other hand, no one expected you to do anything, and yet you did." Before a chuckle as they arrived to the kitchen. "Those that hang around here are either Guardians, or go home to be with thier own families. Me and my son do most things for ourselves."

Savryn looked over to her door at the small voice that was coming from the other side of it. Robeless at the moment, she was merely in her normal wear, but had her boots kicked off as well as weapons and belts. Admittedly she had shoved a dagger under her pillow though. Giving a pet to Chylithair whom was perched on the bedpost she got up, tosseled her hair a bit so her eyes were hidden if one wasn't looking at her striaght on, and opened the door before walking away from it and back to the bed. Her version of 'come in'. "Why does my home concern anyone here, and my arrest and such of earlier will always be my biased opinion."

"I only wish I could have done more." That was all she was sayiing on that matter. "Oh how wonderful. I felt the need to ask because at home you either eat when dinner is served or you don't eat." She followed along behind him and nearly gasped with pleasure at the large kitchen. It made sense seeing as they were dragons and she quickly went about examining what he had. "Are you hungry? I don't know what you like to eat but I'm sure I could make it for you...?"

Eilynne entered the room and calmly closed the door behind her then walked over and gently pet Chylithair. "You come from far away Lady Elf as do I. Your home is not so much a concern to me as a common bond we share and my curiosity does belie itself. You are not like your friend but you are. It is strange to me."

She listened and nodded. "A biased account is precisely what I am looking for. I want to know how you were treated, what you were fed and what the pirate who visited you had to say. You entertained thoughts of escaping yet you chose not too. Personal ethical reasons or something else entirely?"
PostPosted: Fri May 18, 2007 3:25 pm

"You may wish that, but what you did do is enough." Watching her somewhat, not that he was keeping tabs on her, you just didn't walk away from people who were actively wanting to engage you in conversation. "No thank you lady elf, I've already eaten. Though I do apologize if my home seems a bit...overwhelming. At times, sixty feet of dragon has to fit through the halls and such." Giving a chuckle to that one. "But please, help yourself. My son has wanted to extend such a kindness in the wake of our quick decisions, and I shall not deprive you of any."

"Not like my friend? I am an elf. She is an elf. We are alike, in race and such, but we elves have many variations of our breed. There is nothing strange about that, I assure you." Crossing her arms lightly over her chest as she sat down on the edge of the bed. "I was treated well, was not manhandled roughtly. My cell was dank and uncomfortable but that's to be expected. Food was sustaining and not unpleasant." Quiet for a moment.

"The pirate merely came to laugh at my sitution and to try and convince me that he could get me out and clear me. As for me not deciding to take him up...well, I may be a necromancer and I may do things that others are not fond of, but I have my honor as well. I will not be labled a petty criminal especially when I know of my own innocense. Why make more trouble for myself than necessary."

Well..that was interesting enough. dragon first class trip.

"Still say you should have killed it. and I'm relying on your eyes here, as I have no source of light in the dark. but what were looking for looks like broken glass, only it has a constant oil slick rainbow effect on it. which is of course a reason for why i think our frozen friend back there may have eaten it."

patting her head lightly.

"you are a much prettier and friendly dragon-folk then the others. quite hospitable. If I didn't know you had strong ties to the city, I'd try to entice you to my crew."

A slight grin, staying put on her head between her horns, knowing his crew after seeing that breath weapon were probably already underway in tying or attempting to tie that lizard down....maybe try and get through that hide as well.

"No nifty thing of elven craft you've pilfered off of someone? I'm surprised." Down a few turns and such, having to crouch herself eventually to make her way through before the chamber opened up to what was obviously the beasts nest. Her naive dispositon on the whole matter of rainbow tinted glass perhaps worked in Hunter's favor.

"He wouldn't eat shiny glass, he eats meat and those he catches in the desert. I could smell it on him." Though she rolled her eyes up some to attempt to look at him. "Flattery? Just because white is not a common color, and I don't look at you with disgust? Though you could use a bath." Giving a dragon's smirk before lowering her head and tilting it forward so that he tumbled off to the ground. " You'd have me for crew merely for those facts? I though you pirates were more selective. And I'm not doing all the work however..."

"I have a few reasons. reason one, your a cartographer, that's useful. reason two, you have a friendly disposition, but can back up your claims with a lot of power if need be. reason three, you have a lot of raw power to offer in both dragon and semi-human form."

looking around the treasure trove.

"Last elvish thing I pilfered didn't exactly go as planned. and since I can't read elvish script, I'm not about to test my luck attempting to steal something that may be useful and finding it's either not useful at all or inherently dangerous to my ship."

A slight chuckle.

"and maybe your good looks for other reasons I might want to indulge in."

okay there had to be something that made a lizard grow that big. he was betting on it being that rainbow glass. gems, coins, jewels, shiny clothing, obsidian stone, quartz rocks..come on, had to be here someplace...
