Sirius Black-Snuffles Captain

Sirius stared at Remus confused for a few moments after he pulled out of his grasp and sat down. He tried to figure out what he had said, but to no avail. He blinked a few times before it clicked--Full Moon you bloody moron. Blushing he sat down next to Remus, keeping a respectable distance away from him.
"Sorry, I erm...forgot," he mumbled quietly looking at the food choices around him. His mind switched to food mode and he started to pile the breakfast choices in front of him, that fear from Azkaban of not knowing when he'd be able to eat next unconciously surfacing. The Raven Girl (he was pretty sure her name was Liz, but still...) spoke as he started to munch on some bacon. He looked up at her.
"Nope, we're going to get our list today when we go out to the Forbidden Forest. I wonder what it's going to be though. Scales of Dragon? Or maybe we have to get unicorn blood? Or maybe fight Centaurs to get umm...what would Centaurs gaurd?" Sirius rambled before stopping and looking at the food on his plate, something clicked inside his mind and he automatically started to eat again without looking up or saying another word.

Onyx_Fire Severus took a seat on another chair and leaned back, staring at the dark ceiling. "There isn't much to do at those times now that the war is over. I make potions, lesson plans...concoct new spells and such. Visit others like your father occassionaly. Quite a bore, really," he replied. "What about you?" the Potions Master asked. "Trying to do somthing with my life, make descetions on what I want to do with the rest of my life. There's a lot out their. I know father wants me to follow him but dealing with the ministry isn't what I want to do.. "

Trudging along behind the older people she suddenly felt really out of place. Remus and Sirius had been best friends and now probably a lot more (She tried to keep her mind from straying too far into the topic) And Liz was some long time friend of Remus. Not only was the age-difference that made her feel odd but the fact that they knew each other so well, they probably wouldn't think much of her but a hormonal werewolf, nothing too complex. But she was more than that, and she would show them, when the competition would begin she would rule, besides, she does NOT take losing very well.
Silently sitting down on one of the benches, a little further away from them she became lost in thought, her eyes on the food but not actually seeing it at all. They probably had some amazing past, Sirius for instance, he survived Azkaban and found love, could you get any more fairytale? It was like some demented Cinderella story only more... Well... Gay. And what about Remus? He became a teacher for christs sake only to had resigned, and THEN found love... Thee Raven Lady she didn't know all too well but she had half a friggin brain in a bird AND that bird was her familar. All Kathryn had was shabby robes and a full moon too deal, no great achievements, no familars, no adventures, not even someone to love her. And frankly she was disgusted in herself.
Finally regaining awareness she eyes the bacon hungrily, and forgetting about the food tongs she picked up a pile of 8 or so strips and began chewing ravenously on them. It may not have been the perfect breakfast etiquette but you should never get between a PMSing werewolf, on a full moon, between her food. It only took her a few seconds to devour it and looked up.
"Nope, we're going to get our list today when we go out to the Forbidden Forest. I wonder what it's going to be though. Scales of Dragon? Or maybe we have to get unicorn blood? Or maybe fight Centaurs to get umm...what would Centaurs gaurd?" Sirius ranted. Kathryn rolled her eyes, almost jealously.
"What? And I suppose your going to save everyone from these creatures?" She said sarcastically, her eyes narrowing. "Well I for one don't need some stupid old man and some other randoms ruining my chance to actually be known and win this thing" She uttered quietly to herself, hopefully soft enough for Remus's super hearing to well... Not hear.
(My god, this sounds so much like something I'd do)

Remus kept his eyes on his food, his senses already keenly aware that Sirius was well within grabbing distance. He fought back a smile. It wasn't as if Sirius didn't know, as proven by his apology, it was just, Sirius had never been on the receiving end of it. When they'd been teenagers, Remus hadn't had anyone to really lust after so he'd spent most of the day prior to the full moon in the privacy of the prefects bathroom.
But, the wolf part of his mind thought with a growl, Sirius is right there and - Remus cut that thought off with a Cornelius Fudge naked from his human brain. He took a rather viscious bite out of his toast and fiddled with his fork, distracted now. Beside turning into a slavering monster once a month, unless he'd taken wolfbane before hand, this hormone rush was probably the worst.
He heard vaguely Sirius asking questions about Centaurs guarding things and dragon scales. Kathryn mumbled something that he couldn't help but overhear and after a minute to gather his scattered thought, he said quite helpfully, "Sirius, we will not be asked to look for dragon scales, that would be illegal, not to mention impossible as the nearest dragon colony is in Wales and we are in Scotland. The centaurs are the creators and keeper of the three mirrors, Erised, Ynitsed, and Noitoved, I find it highly likely that Albus may very well ask them to keep some trinket or something guarded. Perhaps in one of the mirrors itself. After all, Albus did place the Philospher's Stone inside the Erised some years ago. He could do the same with one of the other mirrors."
Remus wondered for the moment if any of the others knew anything about the mirrors but decided that if they wanted to know, they could ask.
(ooc: "I will not make jokes about Remus' time of the month. I will not make jokes about Remus' time of the month. Sorry, this is just fun. I like making my characters uncomfortable and Remus is ever so easy to do that to. Other than that, the three mirrors idea came from the S/R fic 'Laocoon's Children. I hope Samvimes forgives me for stealing that little detail.)

Liz just sat there and listened to the group. It was all very interesting, and rather humorous at the same time. Sirius seemed completly oblivious to the fact that Remus was inches away from wood, and Remus's expressions of trying to keep sane all at the same time. Kathryn seemed to have some evil glint in her eye as she teared at the strips of bacon. It was finger food so if she did otherwise she would feel completly out of place herself.
Ignoring the gay duo for once she slid slightly down the bench and positioned herself in front of Kathryn.
Taking a look around the Great Hall, and noticing that the closest students that were around were thirty some odd feet away she finally inquired to the young Griffindore, "So when did you become a werewolf?" She said opening up room for casual conversation.

Sirius kept eating as everyone else around him talked. Remus addressed him, and Sirius nodded slightly, still eating. He glanced nervously around, unconciously checking for Dementors as he put a bit more food on the plate in front of him. He started to chew on a piece of bacon, a voice inside his head chanting 'Hurry, hurry, they're coming, they'll drag you away and you'll never be able to eat again.' He was in such a hurry that he started to choke.
Sirius dropped his hands to the table and gripped it hard coughing, quickly coming back to his senses. He closed his eyes and teared up one hand going to his throat as if he was trying to push the food up.

Remus felt more than saw Sirius' sudden panic attack. It had happned before when they had been at Grimmauld Place. Sirius would fall back into his time as a prisoner of Azkaban and something would happened. Once, the other man had actually attacked him. Remus had gotten away from that with a black eye.
Grabbing Sirius by the arm, Remus gently pulled his hand away from his throat, forcing him to look him in the eye. "Sirius," he said slowly. "Sirius, its okay. We're at Hogwarts now. It okay," he squeezed the hand he was holding, trying to prove that Sirius was indeed at Hogwarts. God, his hands were like ice. "Look at me, Sirius, are you okay?" he asked worriedly, taking both of Sirius' hands in his own and trying to warm them up with his own body heat. Sirius was still coughing a bit, but it was better than before. At least he was breathing normally.
(ooc: Gah, I'm freezing actually right now. Wish someone would hold my hands and warm me up.)

Sirius calmed down, breathing heavily as Remus reassured him. He removed one of his hands from Remus, looking away, trying to hide the fact that he had slightly teared up. He grabbed a napkin and coughed up a bit of bacon. He groaned and took a deep breath putting the napkin down and blindly reaching for Remus' hand again.
"Hogwarts..." he muttered. He started to lean closer to Remus but stopped short of actually leaning against the man, something triggering in his mind. He gripped Remus' hands and closed his eyes.
There were no dementors at Hogwarts, there was nothing out to get him. He was safe. He sighed and relaxed visibly.
"I'm fine...I'm fine..." he muttered, torn between helping Remus and pulling his hands away or helping himself and keeping his hands in that warm grip.

Remus, well aware of what having Sirius so close would do him, knew full well he had the control to do it anyways. So, with a sigh, he pulled Sirius a bit closer to him, making ridiculous calming sounds in the back of his throat. He had no idea where he'd learned to do something so ridiculous, but it didn't really matter.
"Are you okay?" he asked quietly, running his fingers through the silky black hair, absently trying to shut up the voice in his head that he had the distinct feeling belonged to the wolf half of his brain.

"I'm fine...I'm fine...I swear, Remus, I don't want to make this difficult for you I'm fine." Sirius muttered. He didn't move for a few moments enjoying the feeling of Remus' hands in his hair. Finally he backed up a bit and grabbed a piece of toast, he handed it to Remus.
"You need to eat, you need your energy," he muttered looking away.

Remus accepted the toast, smiling at Sirius. "Well," he said absently, chewing slowly and staring at the ceiling. "I could just ravage you and be done with it."
He choked when the words tumbled out of his mouth and flushed. He hadn't really meant to say that aloud. "Urg...don't listen to anything I say today. I'm a bit off," he said, staring firmly at his plate now and wondering if Kathryn and Liz had heard that as well.
(ooc: I couldn't resist once more. Sorry.)

I know father wants me to follow him but dealing with the ministry isn't what I want to do.. " "Then defy them and do something outside the ministry. But I have to say, if you were to be in the ministry, then they would have a harder time picking on you if you are suspected to be doing something illegal," Severus told him. He smirked and looked at Draco. "They've sent be quite a few owls about illegal potions and creation of spells--but I doubt they would bother me as much had I agreed to work for them years ago."

Sirius felt a grin tug the corners of his mouth slightly upwards.
"Watch yourself Moony, I might be tempted to drag you off to a broom closet myself," he chuckled. Realizing what he said, and that it might not be very appropriate for poor Remus' mind, he turned back to the table and looked at his plate. Dementors and starvation swirled around in his mind and he pushed the plate away, feeling slightly sick. He coughed nervously and mumbled a quick "Sorry, shouldn't have said that."

Remus chuckled. If Sirius was going to play, he would gladly take the bait. Leaning toward Sirius, he brushed his lips along the edge of the other man's ear and whispered, "Careful, Pads, I might just let you."
He leaned back and returned to his toast. If nothing else came of it, he always did like making Sirius blush.
(ooc: Oi, Remmie's turned feral.)

Sirius blanched and felt some of his blood rush to his face, while most of it went...lower. He grinned though, thoughts of Azkaban immediatly fleeing as he inched closer to Remus.
"Is that a promise?" he purred into the other man's ear, gently taking his earlobe between his teeth.
"Perhaps we should let the girls go off on their own today in the Forest, and steal off to the Shrieking Shack? We could fill it back up with noise all by ourselves..."
