Ohh, Youko! That's so sad. Personally, I'm not a dog fancier, but it's just so sad when someone doesn't have the money to pay for something that would save their animal. Like when my uncle's cat (who hated me and randomly decided to try and scratch my arms off occasionally) had breast cancer and we didn't have the money to pay for it and she died. I still feel horrible about that.
I wish you and your dog the best of luck on that matter. I'm so sorry to hear that news. Poor Rachel.
My life isn't exactly the best either. (Sorry about posting this here, I need a place to rant.) Yesterday my mom got mad at me because I hadn't finished the work I had been doing for her friend/buisness partner. So I got back to work on the stuff. Thing is, those damn papers take a hell of a long time to do. I got four done in 45 minutes. Then I did another three while I was online. When my mom came up and asked me how many I had done, and I told her, she started yelling my ear off that I had done seven and that there were thirteen more to do. And then she said that I would never work for that woman again. And then I got really pissed, because that is currently my only money source other than the weekly fifteen dollars my mom gives me. And even working for that woman gives me only five dollars an hour. So my predicament sucked either way. And when I yelled back at my mom to let me try again, she told me to get a job. Is she ******** insane? Has she not noticed the job cuts going on lately? My only decent chance to end up with a job would be for the Christmas rush. So we got into a shoutfest that was basically Mom: "I'm never letting you work for her again! Why should I trust you?!" and Me: "Just give me another damn chance! I'll prove that I can do it!"
Finally she decided to expand on one of her stupid, awesomely ******** up rules. That I have to be up at nine-o-clock in the morning. Even on weekends. Even though I'm homeschooled. (Her excuse was "Only if you start doing six hours of schoolwork a day I'll consider letting you sleep late on weekends.") Only this time, I have to be up at nine sharp, and wake up by my own alarm clock. Sometimes I turn off my alarm clock in my sleep. Her response whenever I mention that is "Tough."
So I was up ay ******** in the morning this morning. And later she decided that she might, I repeat, might consider letting me do work if 1. She doesn't have to tell me to do anything and 2. I get a certain amount of schoolwork done every day.
So, yeah, I'm working on that. I don't know if I still have to wake up at nine sharp tomorrow morning. I think I'll ask about that. If she says yes...I'll probably end up doing something really stupid. Ehem. But yeah. The moral of the story is that my mom is a b***h-hole. Who expects me to be just like she was as a teenager. And I'm currently pissed at her, even though since 2:00 PM today, we managed to have civil conversations. And to all of you, revel in the fact that your mothers aren't such freaks as mine.
Thanks for listening. Or not. Hell, I wouldn't listen to myself ranting like this.

*pets Alexis* That's just ******** up. gonk It seems that we're all a bit short on cash right now, honestly... My mother's pretty bad, too, but I'm not going to get into that... Poor Alexis. ~<3
gonk Update on the Rachel predicament...
We're deciding which surgery to do. We're either going to do the extracapsulary or PTLO procedure. gonk And we don't know which yet.
The extracapsulary works best on medium-sized dogs (Rachel's a big doggy... DX ). They make an incision in her knee, and cut out the tendons and ligaments and replace them with nylon straps. gonk It takes about three months to fully recover, and have about an 85% chance of significant improvement, and 50% of those 85% of dogs will be perfectly fine after that, the other 50% experiencing some stiffness in the morning, and limping after strenous activity. Also, this method doesn't get rid of the risk of arthritis. It costs about $1,500.
The second one is the PTLO (tibial plateau leveling osteotomy). This works well for larger dogs, like Rachel. However, it is EXTREMELY evasive. In this prodecure, they make a large incision, AND BLOODY SAW HER TIBIA IN HALF. gonk They then ROTATE it and make another ligament take over the job of the ruptured cruciate ligament. It takes about four months of recovery, and is very painful. (BUT SHE GETS A MORPHINE PATCH! lol ... *slaps self*) The risk of arthritis is much lower, as is the chances of her ever limping again. This costs ANYWHERE from between $2,000 to bloody $4,500. gonk gonk gonk
So, we really don't know what to do... however, I already told mum that I'm going to time it so that she comes HOME from surgery either late on a Friday or early on a Saturday, and I'm going to spend the entire weekend in the garage (mum doesn't let Rachel in the house. stressed ) and I'm even going to take an electrical heater out to the garage and a sleeping bag and sleep there. gonk From waht I've researched, she's going to need a LOT of attention, and I'm going to have to be putting icy packs on her and heat packs and blankets and changing her bandages and just keeping her comapny in general.
gonk This is so ******** up...

*laughs hysterically and then begins to choke from doing so*
HOSHIT. xd
YOUKO IS BACK IN TOWN, PHELLOW PHANS. :'DDD ~<3<3<3<3
YARG!
I FINALLY got the SIMS2 installed... xD; But I couldn't find that damned link to download all the Phantom SIMS, and I tried my hardest to mimic Erik by deforming him...
Hooooly crap.
xd Funniest-looking s**t EVER.
And I made a giant family of Gaia-SIMS, with me, Touei, Daimyn (she doesn't go to this guild), Moocat, Maneskinn, a poor attempt at Alexis from memory, and I'm working on an Ume SIM.
xD Much hilarity ensues.
Especially since I have that really bizzare-looking Phantom SIM named "Squerik."
xd The original Squerik was born in a bizzare conversation. Squerik is a one-inch tall Sasquatch Erik. He is made of fuzz. He lives on my kitchen table, across a lagoon of spilled orange juice. His swan bed is a fortune cookie. His best friend is a small, doll fez hat discovered in my room. He is in love with Christine, the dust bunny, and wants to punjab Raoul, the piece of dryer lint, with dental floss. His house is a hollowed-out cake that Yuhe half-ate strangely. He kidnaps Christine and takes her across his previously mentioned orange-juice lake in a bottle cap, steering with a toothpick.
...yeah. rofl WE'RE NOT STRANGE AT ALL.
Yeah. So... Youko's got a swing back in her step, 'cause you haven't noticed. 3nodding
Pro'lly 'cause she ate lunch with Adam today, and is now exhillerated. xD; My lunch table was full, so I asked if I could sit with him, and he said yeah. :'D
I was trying to do my Spanish homework... oh... my god.
Youko: *doing Spanish homework homework* Is... "estarbaste" a word? Adam: ...no. D: No, it is not. Youko: ...oh. D: ...well... would this be... ....trabajaba or trabajeron or what? Adam: BOTH! biggrin TRABAJABAJERON! Us: *repeat it for the entire period*
xD; And the day before, Kate called him a "smarmy thespian." Hoooly s**t. rofl
Yeah.
So... :O IF YOU WANNA BE A SIM AND RESIDE IN YOUKO'S NEIGHBORHOOD MADE FOR GAIANS, JUST GIVE HER A PIC OF YOU AND SHE'LL MAKE YOU AND GO GET OFF HER LAZY a** AND DOWNLOAD AN ACTUAL ERIK SO THAT SHE CAN KILL SQUERIK BECAUSE SHE FORGOT TO GIVE SQUERIK ANY PERSONALITY POINTS, SO HE'S ANGRY AND HATES EVERYONE AND KEEPS TRYING TO KILL EVERYONE. xd
...I love capslock. ~<3

Arqueete recently made Sims of our beloved Erik, Christine, Raoul, and Philippe (Why Philippe? Who knows.) ninja This was the Erik I downloaded and Christine if you're interested biggrin (Though I changed Erik's face a little, and gave him golden eyes and Christine blue heart ) RUNNING WITH SCISSORS Yes, Christine, Erik eating cake is very sexy indeed. domokun

rofl That... you, my friend, are ingenius. I can just imagine what they're thinking...
Raoul: WHEEEEEEEEEEE! Phillipe: OH, GOD. NO! *cowers* ;~; Last time Raouly-waouly-poo-poo got a hold of the sissors, he accidentally cut a giant bald spot on the back of my head! *hides in terror, clutching head*
Christine: Oh, this cake is turning me on...
:'D ...yeah.
D: The website is being stupid, though. If I log in on standard, it logs me out every time I click on something, so I can't download anything, but... D: If I put it on secure, the graphics all look like little red x's and won't download. e.x; *going to wait until tomorrow* D:

Hee, that's awesome Youko. We missed you around here. *Fluffles Youko's hair*
You should make like a Leroux Erik like I did. Go into the body shop and ******** up his face all you want to. I made him with these prominent cheekbones, all sunken, and his nose pushed in backward, and fun stuff like that. It was awesome. Takes a little messing with to learn, but you'll get the hang of it quite fast. And you can make a mask in Photoshop or something, then upload it to the game. Making your own unique Sims is fun. Texturing can sometimes be a pain in the a** sometimes, unfortunately. *Is a little bit too involved in making customized characters for computer games*
In the Sims 2, I have this big-a** house and I think I'll need at least one new 512 MB RAM chip for it not to be slow. *Twitch* I'll beg for the thing for Christmas or something. Only costs like...a hunderd bucks. sweatdrop
They should seriously price down the expansion packs. I don't own either because 1. I'm poor, 2. They're overyly expensive, and 3. The ginormous house makes everything run so damn slow so I don't play often. (That house is the best thing I've ever built so I'm not getting rid of it.)
Youko, you should take a screenshot of the Gaian Sims. It's nifty.

xd He WAS a Leroux!Erik. He was emaciated, sunken eyes, no nose, a giant forehead, nearly bald... t'was rather hilarious.

OMG. :'D MAYBE ERIK IS LOOKING AFTER ME, VIOLIN-WISE!
I went to see Mr. Mellander while I was marking up one of the pieces he gave us (which we're not playing in orchestra), Sonata, to ask him if I should go into third at measure 38, during the rest, or 39, when I need it, and he was like... "No, nonono. Go into second position (which I've never done) here, third here, first here. You can handle it- I can tell." biggrin And then asked me if I had gym alternating orchestra, and I said that I had studyhall, and he invited me into the orchestra room 11th period every other day, 'cause I'm like always in a practice room when I have a free minute, and a little group of insanely bored orchestra members come down during 11th when they don't have orchestra and practice, and he wants to arrange a quartet for Sonata, since it's canon, and wants me to be in it. biggrin DD!!
