Nergal had been irritated ever since he had gone with the others. His treatment had been a waste of time, in his opinion, when he could be finding the girl he fell in love with. Only one thing was on his mind, and he had to know "Damnit, let me see the Emperor! He should know where my Xiaeriene is!" Having lost an arm and an eye, he wasn't going to start a fight, but nevertheless, he wanted answers, and he was sure the Emperor would have them

"Hold your tongue, beast. His Excellency, The God Emperor; is not at your beck and call. His Excellency certainly doesn't have time to be plagued by you and your incessant questions over a woman or whatever manner of beast you find to be your mate. Find comfort that His Excellency is with and protecting her if she is aiding the Imperium then shut up and wait. Besides, do you think she would want you to go searching an entire planet for her while in a condition such as yours? You'd sooner die from some ravenous beast or radiation poisoning than find her. You have one arm and wield a spear. You have one eye and no depth perception. You are of no use to her as is. You will wait. An artificial arm and mechanized eye can be drafted up for you and then you can go find her. Or at the very least reclaim her corpse." The Apothecary scolded. He continued to monitor Shlag's condition when the cockpit's radio crackled to life.

"Dropship Zeta Delta Niner, you are being diverted. We have a large ping on our planetary radar array. We need a visual on this object. It should be visible for quite some distance if this ping isn't just a malfunction of radiation based decay. Your next way-point is 4 clicks east by south east."

Xiaeriene was burning up, and she felt as if the flames of hell were swallowing her whole. She did not let the pain divert her, and she continued siphoning the radiation as tears of blood clouded her vision. The storm was now growing rapidly, and was already miles wide. She could no longer feel her legs, but she seemed to still be standing. A few more minutes, and it would be over.

Nergal was in the process of being patched up, but he was getting more and more irritated about Xiaeriene. "Hey, could I please get a timeframe on when I will see the Emperor? I need to see him soon, and I will simply teleport to him myself if you continue to be a douchebag about it" He knew his words were partially bluff; if he teleported in his current state, he knew he would most likely pass out. Regardless, he was getting tired of the audacity at which these people spoke to him. He knew that was how they spoke to foreigners, but that did not make it right.

"Again, do you think His Excellency The God Emperor has time to see you? We're at war. We're occupying a long time enemy. You can wait. The Honor Guard would sooner kill you for teleporting into his presence over allowing you to speak to him. You either wait or die. It's as simple as that. There is no possible way a warrior of your caliber could ever smudge the the armor of the Honor Guard let alone hurt them. In your condition one look from one of them could end your life."

The dropship reached the way-point and came to a hover. The pilot called the Apothecary up to the cockpit.

"This is Zeta Delta Niner. We're looking at a massive ice storm circling a central point."
"Scan the point from the top to ground level. There's an almost maddening presence emanating from it." Several pings on the life-form scanner showed up. The upper fringes of the storm began to glow red and dark purple and slowly began to descend down the storm. "This madness must be stopped. Whatever it is causing that, it's creating a Warp Rift."
"This is Delta Zeta Niner. It's creating a Warp Rift! Scans show several life forms contained within the storm and one at the ground level of it!"

The radio crackled to life again. This time it was The Emperor speaking. "I need you to touch down and extract the cause of the storm. The opening of the Rift must be halted. The source of the storm is powerful. In the hands of the Warp Daemons, she could prove to be a powerful foe. Touch down and extract her now. If you must absolutely do so, I personally give you clearance to kill. Her dead corpse will feed them less than her living body and soul."
"Understood Your Excellency. Apothecary Aelius out." Without a word the dropship rocked to life once more as the pilot maneuvered the ship closer to Xiaeriene.

Xiaeriene was feeling dizzy, and she knew she had no time left Damnit.....if it is coming to this, then I guess...I have no choice! She focused the last of her energy, preparing to self-destruct. She had done her job to purify this world, and she could not allow her efforts to be in vain. She felt herself passing out, and she saw a ghostly figure of Noodle as she slipped into a coma. Suddenly, the storm came to a halt, and it seemed as if everything in the vicinity also came to a halt. Noodle had appeared, only titanic in size, and caught her in his arms. Lush green grass had now covered the entire ancient city, and had spread miles in direction, all across the blood sea. The giant ball of fluff looked out toward the approaching ship without expression, and held her up toward it

"Whatever dude, I already hung out with the Emperor. He and Xiaeriene fought each other in some sort of duel while back. He's a cool guy, even if he is a bit scary sometimes" His eyes widened as he saw what he wished he had not "Xiaeriene!" He rushed over to the monitor, as he began to cry. He looked to the apothecary franticly "She's not dead...I can feel her signal! Mister Aelius, please, can you save her?"
PostPosted: Wed Mar 17, 2010 11:14 pm

After the storm dissipated only the Warp Rift remained and was steadily growing larger. The left over psychic energy from the purification was feeding it. The sky in the area grew dark and just as quickly as the grass sprouted, it began to die.

The dropship landed. The initiates and apothecary jumped off of the landing ramp as soon as it was open wide enough for them to fit though. "Quickly!" Apothecary Aelius shouted. "Something monstrous stirs within the Warp!" Several purple bolts of warp lightning exploded around them. Out several yards more a swarm of bolts of warp lightning exploded again, surrounding the dropship. As they did so the ground began to fall away, leaving the dropship separated from the Apothecary unit and Noodle. A single bolt had hit the dropship disabling it.

Just as the Apothecary turned to witness the two initiates with the stretcher fall into the massive pit as the ground gave way and their being cut off from their only escape route a portal opened. A man stepped from it. A purple haze shrouded him. Soon another portal opened on the isolated platform with Noodle and one with the dropship. On the platform with Noodle, a larger, fully naked man stepped out of the portal. He was bulky and muscular. From the portal next to the dropship; 40 Cultists filed out. Each in heinous regalia and a dark Halo of iron spikes each with a half rotten skull impaled on it. What each had in common was a metal eight pointed star implanted in their flesh.

The large man roared. His flesh tore away as a bolt of Warp Lightning struck him. From the ash a humongous, monstrous Daemon stood where he did. A Bloodthirster. Before Noodle could react, it tackled him with it's right shoulder. It's large battle axe in it's left hand swung around striking at the arm holding Xiaeriene.

The Cultists fired grenades from their grenade launchers into the disabled dropship. After the explosions subsided they charged in for the kill. There was hardly room to move let alone fight. The Cultists were nothing but cannon fodder from the countless worlds that had fallen to the forces of Chaos. The deaths of these would meet with a flood of countless more.

Shlag's mind suddenly cleared, but she couldn't move. All she could hear was her heart beat. It began to grow erratic as the pilot left the cockpit and open fired on the cultists, only to meet his end in a hail laser of fire. "The Imperialist Dog is here!" One shouted. "Grab the worshiper of the false Emperor and lets be done here!" Cried another. Three Cultists grabbed her and hoisted her from her stretcher.

On board the Emperor's Command ship three squads of Inquisitorial Grey Knights were scrambling into their Drop Pods. Before they were fully strapped in, the pods were launched.

The man on the center land mass charged at the Apothecary with a power sword in hand. Aelius' initiates open fired on him with their bolters. The rounds penetrated into the man and exploded rending flesh from bone. But it did not stop him. The Apothecary drew his chainsword from his belt and slashed down at the mans head. The man caught the blade in his left hand and redirected it. Blood, flesh, and bone sprayed all over the two. The man impaled the Apothecary on this blade. He drew it up and cut him in nearly in two. His sights next turn to the the initiates and he slaughter them as well. He looked up after the blood bath and found three faint lights growing brighter. "Imperialist reinforcements! Hurry up, you worthless scum!"

The three cultists were quickly pulling Shlag from the dropship and passed into the portal. The man followed into his own. Each closed behind them. The remaining cultists began to scream and yell about being left behind. When the bombs strapped to their bodies all exploded, tearing the dropship apart.

All that appeared to be left was Noodle, Xiaeriene and the Bloodthirster when the Grey Knights landed. The Bloodthrister was more than strong enough to handle all that was left by itself and then some.

Noodle did not flinch, but simply watched everything go on. As things began to get heated, he grabbed Nergal, faded away. Nergal and Xiaeriene appeared and fell to the floor before the Emperor. A translucent, ghostly figure of Noodle hovered over them, his voice hollow and unworldly "We are Control. It has begun. Soon the Silver End shall come to this world, too. Young Emperor of this dying world, These children must be sent back to their own world. Their destinies here have been fulfilled, and we now place ourselves within the chosen beholder. We are Control" The power emanating from the glowing ring around Xiaeriene's wrist faded. At the same time, the ring now appeared around Hallas's wrist.

Hallas looked to her uncle with fear "Uncle, what....what is this?"
PostPosted: Fri Mar 19, 2010 4:49 am

"It's nothing to fear. But this foolish child may have unwittingly doomed this world. Her blind act of... obedience to some foolish power that deems itself and it's compatriots Gods, has attracted the wanton eyes of Chaos." He looked to the Inquisitor to his right. "You will continue to battle the Chaos threat until these two are awake and back in their own world. Maybe the Powers Chaos will turn their sites on that world. But until then, we must scour our sector clean of Heresy. Begin your Inquisition Inquisitor. Niece take these fools to the medical wing. There their wounds will be treated and then will be sent on their way."

Meanwhile the Grey Knights that had made land fall were in vicious combat with the Bloodthirster. Half had already fallen all the while they barely left a single wound on the beast. The remaining Grey Knights had it surrounded. The honored fallen had seemed to make it stronger. They all attacked in unison save one who hung back. Each of the attackers spoke litanies with each strike to the beast. The Beast began to grow weaker blow by blow until the one in the back had fully brought to bare his will and tore the daemon from the physical plane and banished it back to the depths of the warp. Even so the beast was banished while wildly laughing in a shear bloodlust.

Within a ship within the warp. The man who had slaughtered the Apothecary as well as two others. An ornately garbed man and a divinely beautiful but scantily dressed woman. Each bore a different symbol on their body and clothes. The man's wounds had already been healed. He said, "Your plot has begun you foul sorcerer. It had better work or I'll let Slaadeva, Chosen of Slaanesh have her way with you." "You needn't worry Lord Alameir, Chaos Lord of Khorne. You have tainted one the avatars of the false Gods of this universe. As of now, we can follow it and destroy it." "Though I would adore for the chance for once the conniving Am'lock, Sorcorer of Tzeentch is correct on this matter. If we are to slaughter or bend to our wills, the Gods of this universe we will need more than the slashing of your blade." "You will both have time to satiate your differing lusts soon. Once the two remaining champions have arrived that is. I wonder who the God Nurgle will chose? And of the lesser Melkirth?" "And what of the woman your Cultists captured?" "As of now she is on the brink of death or madness. I thought we could use her." "Oh? You thought?" "Enough bickering Lord and Lady. We can turn her. Her body, training, armor, and enhancements could bid useful to us. Her mind as well. She knows the inner machinations of one of our foes."

"Yes Sir!" She bowed, then proceeded to throw Xiaeriene over her shoulder, while she dragged Nergal along as he groaned. They were patched up without difficulty, and soon, they were taken back to Earth Realm.
Hallas entered and bowed to the Emperor "Uncle, it is done. The girl's grandparents have taken her and her partner back to her world. I await your further orders"

The Emperor could feel the ship moving through the warp. It was moving from the sector. He had won the gamble. "Hallas I am going to send aid to someone in need. It will be lead by Inquisitor Diona. You will accompany her and follow her every order through without a second thought. On this mission her orders equate to my own. A company of marines, yourself, and whatever inquisitorial troops she deems necessary will be on this mission. You will report to the Strike Cruiser Benedicta and await orders from her."
