"WE WERE ABOUT TO IMPRISON YOU. HOWEVER," the General Derelict said, holding out "however" for extra emphasis, "IF YOU ARE WILLING TO GIVE US INFORMATION AS TO THE LOCATION OF THE DIRK WE MAY YET ALLOW YOU TO GO FREE. YOUR FELLOW CREWMEMBERS HAVE ALREADY BEEN PLACED IN OUR ELECTRODUNGEON."
He left out the fact that the xenthork plants had not picked up Captain Tailos or the dirk purposely.

"I don't know where it is!" Jasper glared at her captor. "And even if I did, I would never tell you!" She bit her lip and scowled, not so much at him than the fact that she had used such a cliched line.

"OH, I BELIEVE YOU DO. YOU ARE A CONSORT OF CAPTAIN TAILOS, AM I CORRECT?" the General questioned.
He muttered to a Tobor off to the side, "Ready the memory-extractor devicinator. If she will not talk, we will remove her thoughts."

"A consort! Are you implying something?" Hell hath no fury, and in her fury Jasper's orange eyes glowed with copper fire, her mussed-up hair blowing in some imaginary wind.

The mechanical man was confused. They seemed to have retreated, and he took a rest. The somnusious gas had no effect on one made entirely of machinery, and the xenthork plants had simply ignored him, as he wasn't really a life form. Perfect. All alone on the ship, no commanding officer. What should he do? He calculated strategeries, but came up with no plan of action. So he waited.

Jasper Riddle "A consort! Are you implying something?" Hell hath no fury, and in her fury Jasper's orange eyes glowed with copper fire, her mussed-up hair blowing in some imaginary wind. "NOT REALLY, NO. HOWEVER I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHERE ABOARD THE SOULBOUNTY YOUR CAPTAIN HOUSES THE DIRK." The General Derelict's patience was wearing thin. He had one of his royal guard bring over two chairs, and sat down in one while the Tobor dragging the Magical Girl placed her gingerly in the other.

She winced, expecting a blow from the Tobors, or perhaps from the General himself. Their tenderness was inexplicable--something bad was going to happen. But as she looked at the General Derelict, she couldn't help but smile. "You couldn't find it, could you? Tailos and the Dirk have evaded your grasp yet again!"

The General growled. "OH BOLLOCKS. TAKE HER TO THE DUNGEON WITH THE OTHERS."
Storming off in a huff, the General checked on the progress of Roufetta.
"STILL NO SHUTTLE?" he growled, raising his lazer gun angrily. "GET ONE. NOW. IT IS SENSELESS TO CARRY EXTRA CARGO."

Jasper was lifted from the chair and slung over the shoulderarmor of a Tobor. She watched Derelict leave--he seemed synthetically furious.
Wait. Dungeon? The bad feeling returned with a vengence.

She'd been so tired. So tired that she hadn't even noticed the Tobor guards bringing in the tea.
Yawning, Roufetta awoke from what had bee na fitful sleep. She kept seeing that river again. The plaid one she'd seen right before the siren sounded. And now a girl.
(I will not cliche here, no matter how Paolini-ish it may be.)
"Guards? Guards?" Roufetta called, trying to sound as calm as possible.
"Yes Lady Roufetta?"
"Could I please see the Derelict now?"

The General bumped into Roufetta as the guards delivered her to him. "HELLO, MS. REMORSA. I TRUST YOUR STAY HAS BEEN TEA-FUL?"

"Quite." Pausing for dramatic affect, she continued. "General Derelict, sir, I wanted to know...who was that mechanical monster-man?"

Roufette Roufetta giggled. "Quite." Pausing for dramatic affect, she continued. "General Derelict, sir, I wanted to know...who was that mechanical monster-man?" "THE CYBOHUMAN?" the General robotusaid. "OH, HE IS A TERRIBLE CREATURE -- HALF-MAN, HALF-CYBORG. HE IS BENT ON DESTROYING THE GREAT ANDRO-TOBORITARY EMPIRE ALONGSIDE HIS HORRIBLE COMRADES." Cautious not to alert a frightened humanoform (they were apt to bite), he began to slowly walk her in the direction of the roxcore launcher room. "WE HAVE ONE OF OUR ROXCORES SET TO DELIVER YOU TO YOUR HOME. IF YOU WOULD JUST GIVE US THE PROPER LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE WE WILL LAUNCH IT SO THAT YOU LAND A FEW MILES AWAY FROM YOUR HOUSE. I TRUST YOU CAN JOG?"

Nodding, Roufetta followed. Sadly, she was starting to feel guilty about tampering with the Derelicts mindofrequency, or whatever he called it.
"General-" she began.
It was best not to mention anything. Just leave and let him protect the galaxy on his own. No need to get him angry.
"Nevermind."

The General Derelict found the ensuing silence very awkward, but the roxcore launcher was a very brief walk from the bridge.
"HERE IS YOUR VERY OWN ANDRO-TOBOR ROXCORE. NOW, WHAT IS THE LATITUDE AND LONGITUDE OF YOUR DWELLING?"
