Forgetting about the training, Shinichi stepped back from the attack. Didn't he hear somewhere that this technique can only be used while dodging the opponent's attack. Darn it! He reacted just a moment too late. The clone's punch landed on his shoulder and Shinichi jumped back another step, holding onto the spot where the clone had hit him. Now if he couldn't even the dodge the clone's attack...

Tenmoki shook her head and stopped the clone. "Shinichi! Don't be frightened by the clone's power. Resist those instincts to move out of the way. Take the power from that punch and utilize it! You can't do that if you're running away from him. Again!" The kusakage said and then again made the clone move at Shinichi with the same punch.
1d20 + Tai 3 = 12
[You don't dodge when using this technique. You just have to get a higher total than your opponent. You're thinking of the dodging palm technique.]

((Sorry.))
"Aye, ma'am." He bit his lip, watching the clone's every movement as it rushed towards him. That was a stupid mistake to make so it won't ever happen again. Shinichi stared at the clone, then thrust his own palm up to intercept his opponent's powers. He squared off his arm at his shoulder, pushing the palm so that it remained near perpendicular to the rest of his body. From experience, he knew this was the best way to stop an opponent's strike, although would it still work for redirecting the clone's force?

"That was pretty good," Tenmoki said as the hit landed on the clone. "Try not to force it too hard or you may break your own wrist! Don't think stopping, think redirecting. Understand?" Tenmoki said smiling in her gentler voice after she had yelled at him.
[Don't worry. Its part of the learning experience baby!]

Shinichi nodded, considering before he asked her another question. "Is the clone going to come at me again?" Now that he had used the Open Palm Jutsu successfully in battle, all those frustrating time during training seemed worth it. Shinichi itched to try that technique again, hopefully not breaking any bones the next time. Although clearly effective, the Open Palm Jutsu seemed to go against everything he had been taught. Instead of avoiding or dodging, one had to use not only one's strength, but also that of the opponent's.

"If you'd like," Tenmoki said creating another clone for the boy. The clone stood still for a moment and then suddenly charged, staying low to the ground. It came at Shinichi with an uppercut heading straight for his jaw. Tenmoki could easily stop the clone if Shinichi had wanted to stop for the day.

As long as he had this chance, why stop when he could still stand. Shinichi noted that its form was better and that it seemed that the water clone actually wanted to hit him this time. How amusing. He wiggled his fingers inside his glove and rushed towards the coming fist. This time Shinichi focussed far more on diluting the enemy's force, not just stopping it than using his own strength. He would get a much greater yield with more fluid movements.

I forgot to put my percentage in front of the str. Whoops! So it would be 3 + 1 + 2 + 0 = 6
You would generate a random number from 1 -12.

Hmm...wouldn't you add the 6 to both numbers? I mean the base attack for taijutsu is 1-6, so plus 6 would be 7-12, not 1-12, right....? confused
