i dont know why but my friend can kill me any day with his small dark angels army ( 1 command squad, 1 company master, and 1 veterans squad) against my grey knights army ( terminator squad, 2 grey knight squads, torquemada and his retinue, and an inquisitor) burning_eyes burning_eyes burning_eyes

Does he take heavy weapons in those squads?

the armor needs more color, not just a straight mithril silver

The model in the picture was inked with a blue ink wash, but I didn't use anything to stop the ink from sticking together (I did use washing-up liquid on the land raider crusader though so it would coat evenly) and it still needs varnishing, which I should get round to within the next few days smile But you are right, when I look at the Grey Knights in the GW store cabinet, those do seem more.. blue.. So I'll have to ask how the guy did them smile

If you want to check out any other of my models check out my photobucket account: Garviel (special account just for my minis ^_^)

Well, to get an actually intersting topic brewing again...

I've been thinking hard lately on how Daemo Hunters were created w/ the idea of "expansion" behind them, rather than actually becoming an editional playable army (although they certainly are) I've been noticing the drawbacks of this more often than usual lately and have heavily considered expanding the army outside the Daemon Hunter's codex as I believe was originially intended.

I think this will give me the versatility I need to give me the edge against my opponents, no matter what the army.

I was wondering if anyone else has had past experience with deciding between Daemon Hunters w/ Guardsmen/Space Marines/Sisters of Battle, and which combo they like best.

Drop Troop Guardsmen and Deepstrike Daemonhunters works quite nicely, so long as you get your reserves right, scatter well, and don't drop them in daft places.

Case in point:

I dropped my Knights about a turn away from a Daemon Prince, then wasted two turns through indecisiveness whether to have them attack the Prince or a Havok Squad.

It didn't help that my Arco-Flagellents (Witch Hunters ftw) were running amok around a corner, using the only cover available, despite their 4+ Invulnerable save.

So yeah, if you do use them, use them well.

Well considering I'm able to use them effectively...

Ha, yeah.
sweatdrop

They could have been used effectively, I just ballsed up with my guessing of how far six inches was.

My opponent said that if I'd gone for his Prince, I'd probably have won, hands down.

I think many people use Sterm or whatever his name is. Though Im sure you could just convert a Justicar or greyknight or something.

GK terminators leader (brother captain) or Stern will do fine...

Heya! I've been thinking more and more heavily on having the Deamon Hunters as my 40k army. Could someone give me a good build to go off of, because I still don't have the codex or know how they play... sweatdrop

Any and all help will be appreciated! biggrin

Well, Grey Knights kick some serious "rear end", especially in close combat, and are horribly costly in points. Inquisitors provide gadgets and assassins. Allied marines are, well, marines, and exclude Grey Knights. Allied IG provides lots of bodies and Leman Russ access.

Is it true that you can also have Sisters of Battle in a Daemon Hunters army?
