I've only been playing for 2 years since I am only going into 8th grade. They won't get me to try and switch, though. My band director knows that he will get a lot of fighting if he should even suggest it and it would be my friends fighting.

iOggy Chika: I can't personally play C trumpet, but from what I understand about the instrument (Music Theory is a great class), it plays concert pitch, as opposed to the "standard" Bb, which sounds a major 2nd lower. Example: You play a G (second line, no valves). On the Bb instrument, that would sound like an F on the piano. The C trumpet would sound a G. So, to play Bb music on the C trumpet, just lower everything by one whole step (G to F, c to Bb, etc.). Kingwarp: Going on eight years, with a year and a half in middle school where the director convinced me to try to play French Horn instead of trumpet. BAD idea, btw. ok thanxies!!! big help...i've had it a year or so and its just been sittin there..its sounds so pretty and i love the black silver...just gotta get the valve fixed....

I think that's right. But I'm not absolutely sure, so don't kill me if it's wrong. K?

Miss it already, the H.S. Stage Band is like a Jazz Band, though we play more other stuff than jazz, life funny that way, huh?
