Andrestia
Andrestia drew a smile to her lips as she wrapped an arm around the other candidate, it wasn’t her usual demeanor in the least but as more of the dragonets started to emerge the more excitement bubbled inside her. They were all beautiful, from the ever so graceful blue who took its time to watch to the rather bonded set of bronze, brown and green. It made her wonder all who they would each bond to, what sort of personalities suited them best, she even wondered if there was one for the candidate next to her.
”This is my first hatching ever, my brother said it would be a miracle if I was fortunate enough to impress so soon so I probably won’t. You might tho.” She gave a bit of a squeeze as her almost violet eyes watched the dragonets again. A green bounded into the group of candidates, looking, searching for someone as Andrestia wished her the best of luck in finding who she wanted most of all. The greenish bronze seemed to be waiting, no more like anticipating as its other bronze sibling burst from it’s shell sending out noise to its siblings. It seemed as if something was going to happen, more than the ichor being spilled from the Crucio green that bounded to her siblings to awaken them.
Drawing her curiosity away from them she looked at the other candidate again. ”Who was it that you were hoping to impress?”

Martirae and Gold Anakumath
Once the pair were parted from their moment, the small gold moved in closer to offer a small nudge of her head against Zezollath's with an accompanying burst of affection. He's perfect and everything you deserve, she said, knowing Zezollath already knew all of this and more, but the affection - though both very different in what they were - both shared for F'enn could not be denied. Then, she again pressed herself against Martirae's side, sending a spark of warmth through the woman's chest like nothing she'd ever felt before.
Anakumath turned her yellow-purple-blue gaze up towards Martirae at the mere thought. You have. I know it, she'd seen it all. She knew it all. But she didn't pull at the images of a young girl sitting near her mother and father, more than jostle it gently. Just enough to draw attention to it, if one cared look. The little gold looked at Orri, barely moments behind her sister, offering a soft wave of warmth to the young man who was so diligent in his kindesses. Approval. Then, she trailed along towards the feeding tables as well - mostly.
The closer they got to leaving the sands, the more obvious it was that now Marty was diverting where it was she was heading. For someone with so few friends on the sands still, it was perhaps to the surprise to many to see her make such a b-line towards anybody, but in this case it was....the Western Candidatemaster. Standing proudly in front of A'ral...Martirae bowed fully to the man.
"Thank you for bringing me this far, I will do you proud."
At her side, Anakumath first looked to Marty, then joined in inclining her own head.

Kinyegele
Kinye looked at Fisher with a small frown at her directions, then at the bubbling trouble that was starting to circle in Rhianth's clutch. Or what looked like trouble. The dainty girl frowned. It did look like trouble, but it also looked like..."Don't assume the worst already!" Kinye said, refusing to budge even with the offered sandal. This was supposed to be a time of positive thoughts, and everybody thinking those babies were up to no good was not good thoughts.
In fact, she was so determined to show she was right, that she focused her positive warm thoughts on the babies circling and growing in tension - and number. There were a lot of baby dragons on the sands now, after all.
Like the green that had just run joyously into the boys, or the brown currently prowling.
---- Kahbrohm
There was so much alarm and nothing had even happened yet! Kahbrohm squared his shoulders, looking between both sides of the 'conflict' (could it even be called that?) with something that wavered between impatience and fascination. Were they actually going to fight, or was it going to be one side forcing the other into a neat little mold?
He hadn't even noticed the grin on his face - he couldn't help it. This was entertaining, even if it had lulled into nothing.
Everybody was showing their colors faced with the unknown, and it told him all he needed to know.
----
Fahn
Things were getting a little bit tense, and Fahn actually faltered for a moment in her layer of pure cheer. Now she was just feeling antsy, like she had something she desperately needed to do and hadn't quite gotten to doing it yet and then nobody had told her what it actually was.
She knew she didn't need to get maimed, but the babies hadn't even looked at them as though they were considering it....hmmm.
----
Juhvek
He could either have guessed at this situation with nothing more than a planted gut feeling that only meant he wasn't thinking positive thoughts...or he could focus on -WHAP.
When How Far I'll Go went running through the boys, Juhvek got hit with a tail because he hadn't been paying attention and more than painful, it was alarming. Well then.

Calla -- HR Candidate --------------------------------
For a time, Calla had expected she'd need to be light on her feet to move steadily out of the way of any dragonets who might seek out Theirs with some collateral damage. Now she wondered if the collateral damage that might be wreaked would be against each other, which was, to her, worse. There were more potential Candidates in Pern than dragons, after all. Just ask all those who Stood but never Impressed. There were certainly more Candidates on the Sands now than dragonets, at the very least.
Not that she wished death or injury on anyone, certainly not, but it was a fact. A dragon paired with rider could save hundreds if not thousands of lives by fighting Thread. Casualties in Hatchings were unfortunate, but a necessary risk. She only hoped she could rely on herself to get out of the way, stay calm, and focus on what she felt she was here to do: find Hers. They had to be here. A hand clenched at her side at the thought and then eased back.
If only her mother wasn't so guarded, maybe she would have told Calla what her father's Hatching had been like. Maybe if he hadn't of died in weyrling training astride his beloved bronze, he could have told her himself at an age where she stood a chance at remembering. That had been his story. This was hers, now. She had made difficult choices. Had lied and sacrified. It had to be for something great, and she would not lose her head, literally or figuratively -- it was a promise she made to herself.
While some dragonets took sides, it seemed, against one another, others seemed obliviously searching. Imperio seemed to pull back, leaning toward comfort for the Candidates. And Let It Go and Slytherin seemed calm, collected, knowing. Hopefully cooler heads would prevail.

FISHER
Um, maybe Kinye missed the memo somehow or Fisher's earlier speech about not judging someone by their cover had worked entirely too well but the girl wasn't looking to move and the teen sighed. Loudly, and ugly, not unlike the noise a person makes when they just.....ugly sigh. "But like one'a 'em just bit the shardin' flips outta the other an' now they're all squarin' up to do some bar room brawl an' you're thinkin' it's okay?" Weyrkids were mostly useless in all aspects but weird optimisim, it seemed. Or maybe that was just Kinye and Fisher needed to really make sure to toss the kid as far as she could should danger come over.
Which seemed pretty far. Maybe she could toss her up into the stands, which was a personal challenge she now held that absolutely no one asked for. "Nut yeah I guess you're right, I mean look over there at the one plowin' through the boys. Not to mention the one protectin' his sister, an' then that.......skinny brown one. Are dragons supposed to be lanky like that?" Fisher was of course talking about the newest brown arrival, the one who stalked about. Weirdo.
Kinye fisher wants to use kinye as weights

YURASTAR
Yurastar wasn't entirely ready for the little showdown that was happening on the sands, and so he decided to focus his attention on all the lovely greens that happened to be spilling out here and there. One of them had even made their way in to the group and he watched How Far I'll Go with excited and loving eyes. She was stunning as far as he could tell, and her excitement was downright contagious! Whomever she looked to was certainly in for a treat if she had that much spunk, though he hoped it wouldn't cost them time in lessons.
Of course he couldn't overlook the green that had joined a bronze ready to protect, how cool. It was like a mini soap opera on the sands he was so glad he was there to watch it. Quietly, far away, and as for the moment entirely unnoticed by anyone.
