"Mhm," Apollo hummed, confirming Sebastian's skeptical inquiry. He gave a firm pump of the hand before withdrawing it back to his person, fingers gingerly stretching out to just barely breeze over Kahn's ears. The feline-like pokemon twitched his ears, unsure whether or not to be annoyed or appreciative of the slight attention he was being paid, though in the end he chose option C, indifference, and looked away. Apollo grinned in Sebastian's direction, pleased that the male not only understood his reference but went along with it as well. "I'm sorry," he apologized, able to fake a contrite mood. "And here I thought I was helping people tan better, but I'll work on that for you." He nodded when Sebastian introduced himself, his grin slipping back down to a content smile.
Apollo tipped his head to the side, curious, when Sebastian turned the conversation around, emitting a soft chuckle afterwards. "Maybe you're just that special," he suggested, though from there he turned serious-- or as serious as he could be. With a shrug he looked over at the three pokemon he currently had out before he turned back to Sebastian, "I was going to ask if you'd be interested in a battle," he admitted, and from behind him Beau grew noticeably interested, it seemed that they were finally becoming productive.
Apollo, however, was unaware of this slow engagement and instead continued on, "It wouldn't have to be a full-on battle," he went on to explain. "Just something simple, one pokemon each even." It'd been a while since he'd had a trainer battle, the last one had been against Lenora, so he was eager to get back into those battles; almost as eager as he was to 'familiarize' himself with others.

Sebastian gave the slightest of chuckles, suppressing the smirk that threatened to take over the smile he had going. "Well I’d certainly appreciate it, thank you. I look forward to the next time I visit the beach then." It was nice to actually have a moment to joke and chat with another individual after the long tackle of battle after battle he’d been through. Which reminded him that he needed to get moving sooner or later back to Lilycove.
"Oh, you think so? I should tell my mother. She’d be proud to hear that." He joked in response to the special comment. When the truth of Apollo’s approach came to light though, his smile lightened a bit as his head tilted to the side. Ah, a battle was it? That made sense really and judging by how quickly the young man’s demeanor changed as he made the request, he was rather serious about it.
"Mmm…," Sebastian looked thoughtful a moment, one hand unconsciously raising up and patting the fluff of Gin’s head. It’d been a while since he’d actually had any kind of a casual battle; he’d been rushing through gym leaders like it was going out of style after all. It’d be a nice change of pace and something to do while he waited for Henry to show.
"Sure," he perked up a bit, beaming a smile at Apollo, "I’d be happy to battle you." Sebastian made to stand up, setting Gin to the side in the process to sit on the bench. The Whimsicott gave a little chirp of curiosity, watching as her trainer and the stranger conversed, still adjusting the glasses on her head. Pichu still seemed less than thrilled about everything, having taken to hiding himself between the bench and the back of the box that they were delivering.
"So, just one on one then?" He inquired, glancing between Apollo and then his visible pokemon. The Gardevoir seemed to loosen up a bit at the mention of battle which was certainly interesting. His gaze returned back to Apollo though, still smiling as he folded his arms over his chest. "I’ll be honest, I’m use to trainers just going all out without asking me." He quirked an eyebrow. "Was there anything particular you were looking to do…?" That probably wasn’t the best way to word it, but he certainly wanted to give Apollo a worthwhile battle.

Apollo, rather proud of his accomplishment of getting, and keeping, Sebastian in a jovial mood only nodded, simply pleased that he was playing along. "Just make sure to show your appreciation right before you go, an offering would be ideal," he suggested. Their back and forth banter was relaxing, the fact that it came rather easy was a bonus too. He snorted with amusement when Sebastian mentioned telling his mother of his newest compliment, "but of course, be my guest. I'm sure any mother would be proud to hear that someone else thought her child was special." He knew for a fact that his own mother did, too special, in fact, to even allow him to explore, or live his life, or go anywhere unsupervised.
He felt his eye twitch at the reminder of his overprotective mother, and after he'd cleared his mind and rubbed the back of his neck Apollo offered a curious smile in Sebastian's direction. He waited patiently as the other pondered his request, and kept himself entertained by gently poking Ceti's stomach. She chirped happily, her legs flailing out against his shoulder gleefully, she was ticklish there, which was well known by her trainer. Eventually she grabbed onto his finger firmly, silently requesting that he stop, which he obliged to, if only because Sebastian had finally come to a decision.
Brightening at the other male's agreement Apollo watched as the other slowly pulled himself to his feet, stepping back automatically so as to give him enough space to do as much. The bright-haired male looked down at the bench, where now only Sebastian's Whimsicott lay settled, his attention garnered by the sound the cotton fluff had emitted, it was rather fond of those spectacles, wasn't it? Cute. He'd have to remember to actually ask if those were an accessory or an item for battle. "Thank you," he thanked once his gaze had been returned to Sebastian. It was only right to show his gratitude, after all the male could have very well declined.
"Mhm," he confirmed with a hum, already mentally going through the pokemon he could use. He couldn't help but to laugh when Sebastian confessed to, in past experiences, having simply just been challenged. "Well, not everyone can be as courteous as some," he mused, quickly carding his fingers through his hair then flipping the ends, as if this would add some sort of effect to his words. Apollo faltered, however, at the next question, and in that time Beau took the chance to allow his presence to become... known. "If it isn't too cumbersome, I would like to volunteer myself," he started, taking the few careful steps required to stand beside his trainer. He bowed in Sebastian's direction, then looked to Apollo for his opinion. "Uh, sure. That's fine by me," he yielded, unable to think of a reason why he should deny him. After all, he had joined his team to get stronger. "Thank you." Beau turned back to Sebastian, slowly pulling his front half up from its previous position. "As for any stipulations, I have none. I'll be content with any sort of battle." (Eevee Capture: Success)

Sebastian chuckled again an eyebrow quirking just a bit. "An offering, hm? I might need a list if that’s the case." He joked, shaking his head a bit in good fun. He focused on Apollo again as the other thanked him for accepting the challenge. He was happy to do so, to be honest. It was a nice change of pace from the strain he’d gone through recently and well… he liked helping. It was kind of his thing after all.
"True. Courtesy is certainly welcomed." Sebastian remarked with a smile as he watched Apollo a moment. He was startled a bit though when a voice suddenly sounded and the Gardevoir that had been hovering in the background finally stepped forward to offer to battle. The long haired man had to blink and stare a moment before finally becoming aware of what had happened; right this pokemon must’ve been psychic or had telepathy or the like. Wow, it really had been a while since he’d dealt with one of those types; he’d clearly grown too accustomed to merely hearing pokemon just speak their own names as opposed to actual words.
Ah, well alright then, sure." He responded, giving the pokemon a smile. As Beau declared that he had no particular conditions on what Sebastian used, he nodded a hand reaching to the pokeballs at his belt as he considered who to use. He had quite a few in his arsenal and he certainly wanted to give Beau a decent battle, but who would be a good choice? He hovered a hand in place, fingers twitching a bit as he considered his options briefly. Either by chance or by accident, he tapped one of the balls unleashing a sudden burst of light as Deuce suddenly appeared at his side. The pink pokemon’s ears immediately flattened at the sight of everyone, vacant baby-blue gaze narrowing into a glare. Sebastian visibly froze, eyes growing wide slightly at the sight of the Sylveon, breath practically catching in his throat. Gin gave a little chirp of surprise, paws immediately covering her mouth at the sight as well. Only Pichu seemed confused at the situation, though visibly tensed at the sight of the agitated pokemon. It was as though there was some unspoken form of communication that dictated they all avoid moving least something terrible happened.
Deuce didn’t pay it any attention though. Instead his gaze had shifted from Apollo to Beau, staring down the other with a sort of studious glare. Who was this exactly? Already the Sylveon could feel a growing sense of resentment, an ear twitch the only signal of this fact. Sebastian continued to watch his pokemon with unease. Oh great… that… that was not one of the choices he’d had in mind.

Apollo grinned as he waved his hand dismissively, "I wouldn't worry too much, I'm a simple god," he assured Sebastian. "Your cell number will more than suffice." He allowed himself the chance to continue their light banter up until they got close to battling, he knew from then on things would get a bit more serious; so he might as well get the fun out of the way while he still could. Though Beau seemed eager to put a stop to it right then, seeing as how he shot his new trainer a look after all had been said and done, as far as the mega Gardevoir was concerned, 'playtime' was over; he needed to loosen up a bit.
Once it'd been communicated that there weren't any battling terms, both trainer and pokemon awaited for their newfound opponent to send out the pokemon they would be battling. Naturally, Apollo was curious. A quick glance over to the pokemon already out confirmed that, at the very least, Sebastian enjoyed a bit of diversity on his team, so there was no telling who would appear. Noticing movement, the man focused back onto Sebastian and raised an eyebrow when he saw Deuce. 'How pink,' was the first thought that entered his mind, though he quickly came to notice just how... unnaturally angry the pastel ribboned pokemon was-- he knew it was a Sylveon, but he'd never expected to see one so.. hateful. It was a bit unnerving, honestly. That and the reaction given when the Sylveon first appeared, from the way Sebastian stiffened and Gin practically gasping, well...
"Uh, did you mean to send out this pokemon?" Apollo heard himself ask, a bit unsure of, well, everything. He didn't mean any offense, and certainly wasn't trying to insinuate that Sebastian was some incompetent trainer, it was just... seeing his reaction... Beau saw it differently however, that or he didn't seem to care enough about a trainer's shock to his own pokemon, for he stepped forward, lessening the gap between himself and Deuce. "Good day," he greeted formally, bowing. "You and I are to battle. Let us both give it our all."

Sebastian was still grimacing, eyes only darting to the side as Apollo asked whether he had actually intended to send Deuce out to battle. The honest answer was of course, a resounding ‘no’ but deep down, the long-haired man couldn’t bring himself to voice it. Less out of fear of hurting anyone’s feelings, but more out of fear that the pink ribbon creature would react negatively. In an unconscious movement, Sebastian found himself rubbing around his neck at the thought, briefly remembering the less than pleasant encounter when Deuce had first evolved in to the Sylveon.
"Ah…," It was a sort of squeaky response, which Sebastian would’ve been embarrassed about in a better setting. However his primary concern was for the present agitation clearly etched on his pokemon’s face. He felt panic rising just a bit as Beau stepped forward to confront him. He very much wanted to tell him no, that was not his opponent and it was really the last pokemon he wanted to use for what he honestly considered a casual battle. Sure, Deuce had… for the most part, been cooperative. But also, he hadn’t been at all gentle in obliterating Chuck’s strongest pokemon in their final battle. That was his primary concern.
And it was a valid one. Deuce stared back at Beau, gaze narrowing even further as his ribbons went limp at his side. Who did this guy think he was? Being all courteous and bowing? Did he know something? Deuce didn’t like his attitude; it wasn’t smug per say but it grated his nerves just the right way. His ear twitched a bit at the remark that they would do battle. Oh yeah? Really? The Sylveon shot a side glare at his trainer. Had this pretzel-bread braid released him to do battle with some nancy-pancy in a dress? Had he learned nothing from that final battle? Deuce wasn’t even aware that Sebastian had released him on accident and he didn’t rightly care.
"Oh yeah? ‘Our’ all?" He retorted in a slightly dubious tone, tail swishing from side to side, still glaring at the poofy pokemon. "Well then, try this on for size." He opened his mouth slightly, a beam beginning to form in the back of it as he started to charge up a healthy sized Hyper Beam. Ya, he’s show this guy his ‘all’ all right.
Sebastian felt a lump form in his throat at the sight of Deuce charging up his attack. "Deuce don-!" There was no stopping the Sylveon though. So instead he did the next best thing, side stepping and grabbing ahold of Apollo’s arm to yank him away from Beau and at least out of direct fire of the rather fierce pink beam of doom. He honestly flinched at the sight, feeling back for the Gardevoir. It wasn’t like he didn’t care but realistically speaking, pokemon battled one another in this fashion all the time. And there was a Pokemon Center nearby. Not… not that that really made things better. But while there was at least a silver lining for Apollo’s pokemon, there was no such promise for the man himself and really… Sebastian didn’t want to be held responsible for whatever damage that might happen...
Battle Summary – Beau vs. Deuce
Round 1
Deuce used Hyper Beam! Pixelate activated! 150 + 30 (Lvl.) = 180 x 1.3 (Ability) = 234 x 1.3 (Item) = 304.2 - 10 (Def.) = 294.2 - (.3 (Megastone Bonus) of 294.2 = 88.26) = 205 DMG
200 - 205 = 0 FATALITY Beau fainted!

Apollo pursed his lips gently, one eyebrow raising in slow skepticism. It was now becoming glaringly obvious that Sebastian, in fact, had not meant to send out his Sylveon; why exactly that was, however, was beyond him. Maybe it was just too weak, or it didn't have enough training for a battle, it could've simply been that Sebastian had another pokemon in mind for this particular battle-- though Apollo began to doubt all three options when he took in Sebastian's body language, he almost looked... afraid?
A trainer afraid of his own pokemon, that certainly didn't bode well for... any of them. Apollo opened his mouth, prepared to retract Beau, only to falter when a telepathic voice resounded in his mind. "Apollo, I understand your misgivings, but nothing would be gained if you retracted me from this battle. Please, allow me to stay." It didn't take a genius to figure out who it was, and after a moment the male conceded with a silent nod. Might as well, this was his first battle after all. Besides, it was a bit useless now that Beau had already gone and introduced himself. Apollo couldn't help but frown, however, when he looked back to Sebastian, Arceus what was Beau up against?
A monster. Beau was up against a pink, flowing ribbon monster. Alas, it was far too late in the battle when Apollo realized this, feet stumbling back as he was yanked back by the braided trainer, just barely avoiding a pink tinted beam that had already engulfed Beau. With dilated eyes the musician shifted his gaze from Sebastian to Deuce, though quickly moved to look at his pokemon when the move had died out and the dust had settled. To his credit, the mega had at least managed to remain on his feet, and for a full millisecond was able to even keep steady. However, that moment quickly passed and Apollo could only press his lips together tightly as Beau's eyes rolled up and he teetered back-and-forth before finally falling forward, spared from the impact of hitting the ground by being returned to his pokeball.
Apollo breathed in slowly, his thumb rubbing absently over Beau's capsule while he tried to comprehend what had just happened. On his shoulder, Ceti grumbled and fidgeted while Kahn raised his hackles in alarm, his other pokemon were just as shocked as their trainer-- though Ceti managed to channel her surprise into righteous indignation and violence. Before another brutal assault could begin, he quickly returned Ceti then turned to Sebastian, expression somehow managing to morph itself into a rather pleasant look. "Ah, good match," he managed to congratulate and offered a smile. "I'm, uh, going to head off to the Center though, get Beau... healed up. Wanna come with?" he asked, still somehow managing to come off as flirtatious as he extended the offer to the other trainer; right, as if he hadn't just been brutally defeated.
Although it was, admittedly rude, Apollo began hurrying off to the red building, regardless of Sebastian's answer. Beau had been left in... a less than stellar condition, and he certainly wasn't going to allow any time to pass without having him treated; after all, one had to know the time to flirt and a time to be a trainer.

Sebastian felt his heart drop into his stomach once the aftermath of the battle. For a split second he thought Beau had somehow managed to somehow survive the blast because he was still miraculously standing after the beam had subsided. That didn’t last though as he fell forward, the other trainer quickly returning him to his pokeball. Well… there went that hope. Sebastian had stepped back himself once pulling Apollo to safety, gaze still locked on the mess of a battle. Deuce didn’t seem at all phased with his actions, instead the same agitated expression still graced his face as he gave a little huff at his fallen opponent. Pfeh, it figured. The Sylveon’s ears twitched at the sound of commotion from the remainder of Apollo’s pokemon but before he had a chance to even look, Sebastian had fumbled his pokeball off his belt and returned him hastily. The last thing his trainer needed was him to start launching more beams at more pokemon and causing even greater guilt.
Sebastian honestly couldn’t look Apollo in the eye as he congratulated him; he didn’t deserve it. It was rather clear that Beau had probably been at a disadvantage from the get go, but even then there was no reason for the Sylveon to use what was probably the most powerful attack in his arsenal. Sebastian was slowly beginning to regret teaching him that move in the first place. He should’ve given it to Rummy or something; at least then he’d know when it was used, it wasn’t in some sort of malicious fashion. He only glanced up slightly as Apollo whisked away to the healing center, not at all blaming him for not waiting for a response or anything. He wouldn’t have waited either; a pokemon trouble was a pokemon in trouble. It also gave him a moment alone to reflect and recollect himself.
Sebastian raised a fisted hand to his mouth, biting slightly a bit on one of his knuckles as he took a moment to consider the situation. He glanced in the direction of the pokemon center that Apollo had disappeared to, a dower expression on his face as he contemplated his next course of action which was painfully obvious. He needed to apologize for Deuce at least and probably see if Beau was okay.
"Come on you two." He uttered quickly, scooping Gin under one arm while snatching up the parts case with his other free hand, Pichu clinging to the top of it as it was hauled off the bench. With most of his things in hand he quickly made his way to the center as well, a sort of worried expression now painted on his face. It didn’t really take all that long and once inside the doors he planted his things and pokemon down on a nearby bench, locating the young man near the counter by now no doubt. He hesitated a moment; did really want to approach him after what had just happened? He couldn’t really imagine it being much worse or unforgiveable. Still, it was either live with the guilt or apologize. One was a lot easier than the other.
"Ah… Apollo." He remarked, clasping his hands together as he came over to him, still looking a bit uncertain. "I… I’m so sorry… I… I don’t know what to say…," Sebastian started, shifting a bit uncomfortably as he tried to make his apology. This was just… really freaking awkward. How did you apologize for something like this? He wasn’t really sure but he needed to learn fast. "I’m really, really sorry… is there any way I can make it up to you two? I mean… that was just… yeah… I’m sorry. That... that shouldn't have happened." He fidgeted a bit, rubbing gingerly behind his ear as his gaze wandered to the side. "Deuce is just... a jerk for some reason. He's just... kind of awful."

With quick, hurried steps Apollo managed to make it to the Pokecenter within minutes of the initial battle, Arceus must've felt pity on him too, for when he walked past the automatic doors he found that the lobby was empty, save for Nurse Joy and her Chansey. "Hey there," he greeted the woman politely, but nervously, and was already transporting Beau's pokeball onto the counter when he was close enough. "Can I, please, have you to check over my pokemon? He kinda.. took the brunt force of a Hyper Beam.""Oh goodness." Nurse Joy's eyes widened in surprise with her exclamation, and had Apollo not been too preoccupied with making sure his pokemon was getting cared for he would've commented on how cute it was. "Yes, of course. Please, wait here while we go look over your pokemon." With a soft bow the pinkette quickly swept up Beau's pokeball before she hurried towards the back of the building, Chansey left behind the counter to care for any other trainer that came in.
With nothing else he could do, Apollo moved away from front of the counter, opening it up to any trainer who might enter. The musician gave a soft sigh, his left hand moving up to gently pull his hair from out of its ponytail before he carded his fingers through the strands. That battle--if it could even be called that--had been eye opening, if anything, frightening too. He needed to get back into training, and quickly, and add a few more badges to his name. Even if Beau had just been a recent addition, he had some pokemon right around, or even beneath, his level, and that would have to change. He refused to allow his pokemon to ever be... demolished in battle like that, ever again.
He'd just finished his little mental pep talk when he heard a voice, though it certainly wasn't one he expected. Apollo looked up to find Sebastian in front of him, already halfway through an apology. He gave a soft smile, which was followed by a chuckle, before he shook his head slowly. "No, it's fine," he tried to assure him, one hand moving backwards to cup the back of his neck. "Really, it's my fault, I shouldn't have let Beau battle when I knew next to nothing about him, I should've used a pokemon I was more familiar with." At the very least, Sebastian was apologizing, that was more than most trainers would ever do. He laughed again when Sebastian admitted that his own pokemon was a jerk, and 'just kind of awful', then gave a shrug. "Well, there's not much you can do about a pokemon's personality," he rationalized. "Seriously, Sebastian. It's alright, I'm not upset-- with you, at least."
Apollo paused for a moment before he looked away for a moment. All this talk about pokemon reminded him of, well, his own pokemon, specifically the ones he still had in his PC. They were still collecting dust, and none of the trade offers he'd put up in the GTS had gathered any attention. He looked over to Sebastian, briefly appraising the man. Sebastian seemed like a good guy, the apology aside he'd been friendly and even joked around with him, a plus in his opinion, and if he were a 'glass half full' kind of guy--which he usually was--he could at least say that he knew how to make his pokemon stronger. "Hey Sebastian," he started slowly, mind still in its final decision mood. Ignoring the... horrible entity that was Deuce, Sebastian had a few normal pokemon that certainly seemed to like him, Gin and that Pichu of his. "Random question, but would you like a pokemon.. or two?"

Even as Apollo reassured him that everything was alright and that he wasn’t upset, Sebastian couldn’t help but still feel bad. He’d taken to rubbing his hands together gingerly as the other man talked, gaze shifted off to the side to watch their surroundings. While he appreciated the fact that the young man wasn’t mad at him, he still felt terrible about it. It brought to mind work and the thought maybe a few of those pokemon hadn’t gone to glory because of illness or old age. Beau would hopefully be fine because well, he certainly couldn’t live with that on his conscious.
"I…I suppose not, huh?" He sheepishly remarked in response to the question about pokemon personalities, though Sebastian still didn’t understand how it was possible that he had in his possession such a hateful pokemon. A Sylveon no less. Shoot, shouldn’t it have been the other way around, with Rummy as the Sylveon and maybe Deuce as… well he didn’t know what kind of hellish creature he might’ve evolved in if that had been the case. He shivered a little at the thought. Eesh.
"Well… alright… if you’re certain." He tried to muster an appreciative smile, managing a small sort of uncertain one in the process. It was hard to be convincing with what he’d done still weighing on his mind, but he’d have to get over it eventually. Or maybe right now. Sebastian perked up in surprise, hand dropping away from rubbing behind his ear as his gaze went slightly wider than before. "Huh…?" Had he just heard him correctly? A confused frown crossed his face. "Ah… do I want pokemon?" That was indeed a rather random question, especially given the events that had just transpired. The last thing he’d ever expected was anyone to want give him pokemon, actually it seemed more logical to keep them away from him. At least with that first impression.
"You mean like, to trade for or something?" He was really caught off guard by the question, gaze shifting off to the side again. "I certainly wouldn’t mind, but I don’t quite have anything to trade for pokemon or anything." He had a lot of junk, collected conveniently from stores because he was an easy up sale, but he didn’t think any of it useful. And after what had happened, he didn't quite feel worthy to be taking anything from Apollo.

Apollo gave a soft smile when Sebastian finally gave in and accepted.. his acceptance of an apology. He'd made it more than obvious that he was empathetic, and it was a bit touching to know that he was this concerned for another person's pokemon, and if it made him feel any better he'd even have Beau talk to the man once he'd been healed, which only further cemented his opinion of Sebastian and convinced him that he was, in his eyes, a 'good person'; morally just and all that. And that certainly helped make his decision easier.
He chuckled at Sebastian's initial surprise, granted it was expected given how out-of-the-blue his inquiry had been, they hadn't even been on the subject of giving away pokemon when it'd been brought up. "Yup," Apollo nodded as he confirmed the other's restated question, though was quick to extrapolate for the man. "A few..." he paused, trying to think back to when he'd caught those water type pokemon... a while ago, unfortunately. "A while back," he revised and then continued, "..I caught a few water types, but I don't have much use for them, so I've been giving them away." Apollo explained, his gaze absently drifting over the Center's PC. "I don't want any of your stuff, I guess I'm just... looking for good homes for these pokemon, before I try and release them."
Apollo was more than aware of how... odd his request was, especially given all that had transpired between the two of them, what with Deuce nearly murdering Beau, but he was confident that Sebastian was the type of person who actually cared for his pokemon, and that was exactly the type of trainer he was willing to give those pokemon away to, granted the other was willing. Besides, he wasn't the type to hold useless grudges like that. "You don't have to, of course," Apollo assured, his focus and eyes snapping back to Sebastian. "I just thought I'd offer."

A moment or so more of consideration and Sebastian finally cracked a small smile. He was still feeling a bit bad for the whole occurrence and didn’t quite forgive himself as Apollo did, but he was at least willing to concede for the time being. For now actually, his attention was focused on this offer of pokemon and how the young man was just trying to give them away. It reminded him of Jay; he’d had a similar situation with the cowboy trying to get rid of pokemon. It was actually kind a curious thing; he’d been encountering quite a few people trying to get rid of pokemon it seemed. Or rather pass them along to other trainers; getting ‘rid of’ was a rather harsh way to word it.
He listened curiously as Apollo explained, head tilting a bit as he considered the proposition. He’d actually considered turning the offer down until he mentioned the typing. If there was anything that he was severely lacking, it was water types. Sure he had the Shellder he caught but that was… one. And for future gym battles, a water type or two would probably be handy.
"Ah… hm." He raised a hand to tap under his chin in thought. It was really tempting and the fact that Apollo thought him worthy to be trusted with any pokemon –because he certainly wouldn’t have after that display- was a nice bonus. Still though…
"I wouldn’t mind actually. Though are you sure you don’t want anything in return?" Even if Apollo was positive about it, Sebastian felt bad about taking things for free. He’d been blessed enough after all to get some of the pokemon he had the way he had, he didn’t want to go taking advantage of people’s charity too often.
"I mean, I could certainly use a few water types. What do you have exactly?" He glanced over at the PC as well, taking a step back and waiting to follow in the event Apollo headed that way. It was worth taking a look, right?

Content with the fact that Apollo could manage to worm a smile out of Sebastian, he went back to explaining his situation, in the hopes that, if he elaborated well enough, he might take him up on his offer. He watched, eyebrow cocked halfway up his forehead, as the braided male deliberated for a bit, even going as far to take on a classic 'thoughtful' pose, then cracked a smile when he finally agreed.
"Yeah, I'm sure," the male assured, giving a dismissive hand when Sebastian asked if he certain he didn't want an actual trade. "I don't really want, or need, anything." Apollo gave a quick stretch, one eye closing as his arms bent above his head, then stifled a yawn, shuffling sideways so that he could begin in the direction of the PC. "I can't remember off the top of my head," he admitted, this realization spurring him to move closer to the electronic storing system. He logged in, then quickly switched over to the box he'd dedicated solely to the few water types he had, afterwards peering at the screen to check. "Well for starters, I've got all starters," he informed Sebastian, chuckling lightly. "Totodile, Squirtle, Oshawott, and--one, two..--three Froakies."
Apollo turned away from the screen, briefly wondering, and then recalling, why he'd captured three of the same pokemon. "So, do any of those catch your eye?" he asked, head inclining towards Sebastian. "Since I like you, I'll even give you two," he offered, winking playfully afterwards.

Sebastian followed after Apollo as he headed for the PC, briefly glancing back to assure that his pokemon and delivery case were alright. The Whimsicott and Pichu had taken to messing with one another, Pichu trying to get the poor thing to use her legs and actually move about as opposed to just wiggling in place. Still, they seemed okay and he was happy about that.
"Well, alright. If you’re sure…," Was his response, hand rubbing behind his ear again. It still felt incredibly weird taking any kind of pokemon from anyone for well nothing, but Apollo seemed cemented in the fact that he wanted nothing in return. Though maybe he was tired, judging from the stifled yawn he’d given Sebastian kept quiet though, folding his hands behind his back and waiting as Apollo loaded up his storage on the PC. He leaned over a bit to peer at the screen to take a look at the selection. The younger man hadn’t been kidding; he had quite the collection of water-types; the fact that a vast majority where starters was even more impressive. His face contorted a bit in an oddly confused smile as Apollo mentioned having like three Froakies.
"Wow ah… are you a breeder or something?" He inquired as he looked at Apollo. It was the only guess he had besides Apollo maybe having some kind of secret ties to the professors themselves; Sebastian was fairly certain that starters weren’t normally found in the wild in the first place. And well, he had like… three of one of them. What were the odds?
"Oh really? Two, hm?" He smirked just slightly, gaze resting back on the screen. "It’s a good thing you’re so nice, or I’d think this was a trick." Sebastian joked as he considered his options for a moment. To be fair, he was only briefly familiar with some of the starter pokemon; the only ones that he really had a clue about were Totodile and of course… Squirtle. Totodile had been a potential choice besides Cyndaquil in Johto and Squirtle… well that held a special place in his heart He seemed to waiver a moment in thought, as though recalling something before he shook his head and beamed a smile at Apollo.
"Well, if you really don’t mind… I’ll take the Totodile and… the Squirtle off your hands." He remarked. Those were the two he was most familiar with after all and it be some great additions to his team. They’d need some training of course probably –he doubted Apollo was giving away super strong pokemon- but that would be just fine with him.

Apollo stepped to the side, giving Sebastian the chance to peer at the screen and get an actual view of the pokemon he'd listed off. He chuckled at his occupational inquiry then quickly shook his head, "nah, nothing like that. I just came across a group of them while I was using an incense, they were a bit... out of hand, so I had to capture them," he explained, all the while the memories of his multiple water encounter slowly resurfacing; that incense had only increased the aggressive behavior of the pokemon who'd come his way, that or he just naturally agitated them, for whatever reason that could have been. Apollo gave a lazy smile and a chuckle before he placed a hand to his chest in mock disbelief, "me? Trick you? Of course not, you can't win a person's heart through deceit. Bribery on the other hand..."
He waited patiently for Sebastian to make his choice, his focus briefly shifting back over to the counter to check and see if Nurse Joy had returned. She had not. "Alright then, one Squirtle and Totodile, coming right up," he drawled, his gaze wavering on the counter before they snapped back to the right and he moved back in front of the PC to withdraw the two pokemon. With a few strokes of the keyboard two pokeballs had materialized, only for one of them to fall off the ledge and onto the floor, where it landed, button first, and released Sebastian's new Squirtle. She looked at her surroundings curiously, unfamiliar with her current settings, but she was quick to find a familiar face, and in in her excitement--or perhaps it was malice, it was hard to tell-- shot off a spout of water directly into Apollo's face, who was in mid-turn.
"Pffft!" It wasn't a powerful enough spray to cause any severe damage, but it certainly was a shocking experience-- one that was, unfortunately, rather familiar to the bright-haired male. He sputtered as the watery assault was continued--if he hadn't been awake before, he certainly was now--and in the mild flailing that he did, managed to lose his grip on his bag and send it to the ground, the mega stone he'd received from Beau rolling out from its confines. Squirtle stopped instantly and with a wide, transfixed, gaze watched as the mega stone rolled across the Pokecenter's floor, before ultimately coming to a stop against a wall. She gave chase, awkward turtle body in overdrive in her attempt to scoop up the circular object before anyone else could.
In doing this, she allowed Apollo the chance to recover and after he'd dried the majority of his face and brushed his wet bangs back, he turned to Sebastian and gave him a smile that, in truth, was slow to rise. "Playful one," he explained, ultimately dismissing what could be perceived as an attack and chalking it up to a harmless action. He laughed softly to himself, gave another quick swipe of the face, and then watched as the Squirtle waddled back over to the two males, the mega stone proudly, but firmly held within her grasp. The turtle looked back and forth between the two humans, making direct and deliberate eye contact with each to relay a message: 'this is mine now, and Arceus help you if you try and take it'. Apollo didn't need to be told twice. "I guess... you can have that mega stone too!" he chirped, sounding far more positive than one might usually be in this situation, after all, he'd essentially just been robbed by a pokemon.
