EVENT 5: You become timid. This lasts for the rest of the corridor of time. It is as if all the courage from you has been sucked away, leaving a hollow husk of a flighty, terrified person. Everything scares you. The longer you are in the room, the worse your fear gets, until even words can cause you to jump.
All that was Lurks fled away, leaving only the Beneath. He whimpered, a strange and foreign feel in his mouth, because it was a sound of fear and little else.
I don't want to be here, Beneath thought, crying his shadow-fear tears, ants and pillbugs falling from his eyesockets instead, and fled.
She was starting to get bored. Her own ingrained paranoia was starting to come to the surface too. She'd never really moved room did she? She just kept circling the same room. She had to be. Otherwise things would have happened to her. Besides that one room with actually creeple in it.
Jack... she probably wasn't even anywhere close to the exit. She wasted so much time trying to move, she didn't move anywhere. That was it, it had to be.
"You are!" Beneath shrieked, and promptly ran and did not stop running until he burst through the exit like a glorious and grand skellyvision commercial advert for a scareling's red drink.
And with a last burst of energy Mahir managed to drag himself back into the world of light and color and normal speed.

Of course, it must have been karma or something that he kept losing Sherry, even though he hadn't meant to. It also didn't help that the room kept moving, and Jake found himself losing his balance, tumbling backwards as the room decided to lurch forward.
He wanted Mimsy. He wanted to find Mimsy the moment he opened the door to the next corridor. Instead, Robert found himself being thrown forward as the entire room lurched, sending him flying through several more doors until it finally righted itself and he landed on his a**.
All he found in this room was a butt ache.

[ Room 5 -> 7 -> 5] [ Event - ]
Jake tried venturing into another room, hoping there was some logical (probably illogical) way to get out of here, but as he did so, the room shifting again, making him fall back into the same room. This was probably going to be harder than he thought.

The sudden, sheer drop, the suspended rooms, the way things shifted and changed before her were all taken in with a strange sort of relief. At least here the dangers were obvious. Leaping toward the nearest room, America hoped they would stay that way.
Nothing terrible happened beyond the shifting, and for once it seemed like the challenge was truly physical, with maybe a bit of puzzle solving if there was a method to the corridor's madness. So America took a moment to compose herself. To fix her scarf and coat and the rest of her clothes, wildly twisted into disarray by the constant changes in height and her own panicked rush. Hands going to her bag, she checked her equipment and the water she collected. Her phone battery was still strong though the connection was spotty. The runic bandage were tidy and unused.
Taking another moment, America quietly ate an energy bar and took a sip of the remaining (normal) water she had left. Closing her eyes, she counted along with the beating of her heart, and found quiet bit of peace within it. Past was past. She had a job to do, and she would see it done.
