Day 5: Disaster Strikes! ***Regular Signups are Closed! Which means that if you wish to join the RP event from today onwards, or if you have missed the day 2 prompt, your character will have to join as a costumed dancer, using this form:

Let's March! Username: Character: { Provide quest/journal link please! } Costume: { Come up with one, have fun 8D } People in costume can just run over and join the costume troupe while the parade is still in progress. To clarify, this is canonically the same day as the parade began It wasn't very long into the parade, but things appeared to be in full swing. However, disaster was brewing. Obscured by the loud drumming, the folk music surrounding the barges and the cheers of the crowd, the fantastic decorated barge from Utopia was creaking. Deep, sonorous cracks that could have warned the 18 men pulling the barge were drowned out by festival noises. Before that even, if workers had been allowed onto the barge to investigate it for leaks and damages, they might have detected the problems caused by the too-heavy decor. But no; the citizens of Shinganshina had not been trusted to board this prized boat.
These damages were merely enablers. The trigger was a bridge over the canal, connecting its two sides. As the barges approached, onlookers soon realized that the crown set atop Utopia's barge made it too tall to fit. Cheers turned to shouts of concern, and the men pulling the barge either dropped their ropes or started pulling in the opposite direction. The barge's momentum was too great.
Crash!
The mast was snapped into two, its giant crown torn right off and entangling itself in garlands which swung it every which way, catching the sun's rays and making them shine erratically. The horses of the equine show spooked and ran the only way they could: forward, the only direction that wasn't dense crowd. They knocked people over into the canal, galloping off toward the front.
The field parade marshal noticed latest of all, having been farthest away. He turned his own horse around to see the oncoming stampede. That was a mistake. The horses plowed through the drummers, steady rhythm replaced with a cacophony of hooves and accidental drumbeats. The marshal brandished his flag like a weapon, ready to defend his position. "DRAKON, STAY STILL, DON'T-" In response to instinct, the stallion also ran, galloping off with his screaming rider. *** Time for a 4-sided dice rolling game! What happens when the show horses come running at you? Roll a 4-sided dice and edit your post with the result!Day 5: Part 1 1 : In the chaos, you are knocked into the canal- whether it was a horse or a person who did it! There is no way to get out without help. Try to keep afloat! (see "Rolled a 1") 2: You are knocked over hard enough to black out, and must roll another dice! (see "Rolled a 2") 3: You get knocked around a little, but it's nothing you can't recover from instantly. (See "Day 5: Part 2") 4: You dodged like a pro and can immediately assist the others. (see "Day 5: Part 2")Rolled a 1 Roll a 4-sided dice. You have 5 HP. If you hit 0, your character will only regain consciousness after the chaos has passed. 1 : Someone or something else falls on top of you while you're in the water. (Keep rolling until you hit a 4) -2 HP 2: You are struggling to stay afloat. (Keep rolling until you hit a 4) -1 HP 3: You managed to grab onto something in the water that's keeping you afloat. (Keep rolling until you hit a 4) -0 HP 4: Incredibly enough, you manage to climb up one of the barge ropes that have fallen into the canal, and onto a barge. (Go to "Day 5: Part 2") Rolled a 2 Roll a 4-sided dice. You have 5 HP. If you hit 0, your character will only regain consciousness after the chaos has passed. 1 : You were blacked out or dizzy... until you fell or were accidentally pushed into the canal somehow. (Go to "Rolled a 1") -2 HP 2: Still blacked out/knocked down, and possibly getting trampled on. (Keep rolling until you hit a 4) -1 HP 3: You regain consciousness, but are still very dizzy and can't navigate out of the chaos. (Keep rolling until you hit a 4) -0 HP 4: Regain full consciousness, back in action. (See Day 5: Part 2) Day 5: Part 2 In full command of your senses, you set out to save the others! Quote the person you are trying to help while rolling a 4-sided dice. 1 : Whatever you just tried to do, it did not work. In fact you kind of made it worse. (-1 HP for the victim quoted xD) 2: It didn't work! ( no HP loss this time ) 3: You manage to drag the unconscious person out of harm's way / You toss something at the person in the canal for them to grab onto to stay afloat with (endangered player stops losing HP. They no longer have to keep track of their HP) 4: Success! You've rescued them, either fishing them out of the canal or causing them to regain consciousness out of harm's way! WHO WILL SURVIVE twisted (If you are riding a horse or escorting the parade as security the same dice rolls still apply.) ***ALSO: To make sure there are actually people/animals to rescue, there are three NPCs who have fallen into the canal: A man dressed as THE MOON, a little girl dressed as a mouse, and the basket of kittens that she was carrying. Plz don't let them drown. ***If you are still RPing events from past days mark them in bold at the top of your post Ex.: Day 4

Day 4
The grip on the girl's shoulder was completely unexpected and her eyes widened like dinner plates at Alec's hand. Dragging her eyes up along the length of his arm, her eyes connected with the red haired male's and she listened intently to his agreement. His determination provoked a small well up of water in both her eyes, but not enough to draw tears. Blinking them away, Shakuntala nodded her head twice.
"I... I promise...!" the girl answered back. Slowly, her head lowered and her stare now became focused on the tips of her boots as Alec's hand dropped from her shoulder. Her choice was made and now, more than ever, Shakuntala felt like she could do anything. It felt as if the intangible shackles of her mother had cracked and fell to a heap at her ankles from rust. She was seventeen; she was old enough to live for herself without the hold of her mother. She was free.
"L-Let's leave here..." she told Alec. "N-Now that the parade is over and all... There is no reason to remain, right?"

Day 4Rikki spit and sputtered as the rose hit him in the face. With mock annoyance he glared at Cyril. "Watch where you aim, jerk," he said, picking up and handful of his own petals. He waited til Cyril had turned away again before he threw the entire fistful of petals at him with a laugh.

((Yeahhh dice game dice game DICE GAME! twisted )) Zin kept her head held high and faced forward; she wouldn't dream of breaking formation. She'd been working very hard to make the parade a reality, and now that it had begun smoothly (despite yesterday's hiccups), she was certain that everyone would pull it off perfectly. So she was very confused when the crowd's heartwarming cheers turned to cries of concern, and then screams of fear. Zin stumbled and looked around. She couldn't figure out where the source of the trouble was coming from, but she soon found out when a herd of horses broke through the ranks of the marching band. Edit: In the panic, the marchers around Zin shoved her out of the way, but she managed to avoid the horses. She tripped and stumbled, but somehow managed to find her way at the edge of the panicking crowd with only a bruise or two. Her eyes widened in alarm. " Lenore!" She shouted, though her voice was lost in the hullabaloo. Lenore was so small, and in her costume she wouldn't be able to move very well. She could be easily run over in the stampede of horses or people! Zin started to push her way back to where she knew the costumed dancers were supposed to be.

Day 5
Shun remained focused on pulling the barges along, staying silent for the most part. The thunderous noise from the crowd and parade itself drowned out the cracks that came from the boats themselves. The bridge ahead had him furrowing his brow. Wait. That looked a little low.
"s**t.." he hissed under his breath before snapping at the others nearby, "Damn thing's too low for the ship."
He began to try pulling it back but at this point it was far too late. Once he realized this, he dropped his rope and began to make his way to cover. The mast came crashing down, sending shards of wood and other bits raining all around. Diving further off, he felt a few smaller pieces hitting him along the way. He could feel small spikes of pain as a result, but it was far from enough to incapacitate him.

Day 5
It was hell and high water (literally) when Shakuntala descended from the stables with Alec. For some reason, horses were running amok in the streets and people were falling like downed birds into the waters of the canal below. Her sense of justice, provoked with a future in the military, drove her forward to help. She cast a single glance to Alec that read, "You too, prove yourself to be a hero," before departing without a goodbye. She had people to save.
EDIT :: But everything comes with a price to pay. Though she had the desire to save, she became a victim when a horse pummeled her straight into the canal. She hit the waters with a erupting splash and sputtered water when she finally broke the surface, whipping wet locks from her face.

Day 5
Danny had hit at least three bargemen by the time the chaos broke out. When it arrived, she was prompt- even happy to jump out of the cart. As the horses crushed everything in sight, she even gave a whoop, ripping off her bonnet and tearing down the side of her far-too-long skirt.
"I thought that would never end!" she exclaimed. It was only then that she noticed some people were actually in need.
Particularly, one person (among many) she knew had fallen into the water- Shakuntula. She wanted to move forward, but ... the water ...
She did the net best thing to help. Danny pointed to Shakuntula in the water and said, "H-Help her! Somebody help her!"

Farvardin nodded at what Elliot had said. "That's good. I hope it does last..." She trailed off hearing the cries of concern from near the bridge. She turned to look and saw the barge crash into it. "Oh no." She said softly hearing cries from behind them. She turned in time to see the horses beginning to panic and stampede. "Watch out!" She cried, "Out of the way people!" She prepared herself for when the horses reached them. The horses reached her faster than she thought and she got knocked about by the people fleeing them. She was knocked down by one man and had to roll out of the way of the horse that seemed to be chasing him. She got up quickly and scrambled out of the way of the rest of the horses and parade performers. "Owww...... Jeez. He could have at least said sorry." She mumbled to herself as she dusted herself off.

Day 5
Lenore wasn't paying any attention as she walked, only looking up as screams of fear and panic filled the air. Before she could figure out what was going on, a crowd of people ran towards her and shoved the girl out of the way. She lost her balance, helped not at all by the bulky costume she was wearing, and landed hard on the stones. Her vision swam, and she blacked out.

Alec had left the horse stall hearing the commotion and was bewildered to see the discord, and sea of utter chaos that had erupted. The boy would have loved to help, do anything really. Shakuntala's expression, and look she'd given him and made his heart thud wildly like a caged animal. Be a Hero. They said no good byes, only sprung into action. However, the small red head was no match for the panic of the crowd. Feeling a hard shove as people screamed and ran about, he fell to the ground hitting it hard. Alec could feel his skull bounce off the ground, and a ringing in his ears.
His vision exploded into white and black hazy dots, before completely blacking out. Shamed that he could be of no help to anyone. Instead he lied there unable to bring himself to open his eyes.

Danny was frozen for only a moment- the next she was caught off guard by a loud thump beside her. People weren't just getting thrown into the water- some were in danger of getting trampled!
Ever the rash personality, Danny barreled into the mayhem, grabbing a girl who had fallen in the mess. It was hard to pull the dead weight, but she managed to drag the girl to a safer place.
"Just hang on!" she urged the girl, unsure of if the black-haired unconscious person could even hear her.qixel 3: You manage to drag the unconscious person out of harm's way / You toss something at the person in the canal for them to grab onto to stay afloat with (endangered player stops losing HP. Pushing himself up to his feet, he let out a grunt and looked around. A few people had fallen into the canal. There was no saving them as far as he was concerned. Further off, he saw a familiar form crashing into the ground. Shun made his way over and tried to roughly pull the boy back up to his feet. Lenore was dragged out of harm's way by Danny, and her eyes slowly opened at the sound of her voice. She rocketed upwards, and a sudden wave of dizziness overtook her. Letting it pass, the girl murmured her thanks to what she assumed was her savior before getting up unsteadily. Her leg was already beginning to bruise were people had stepped on it, and it hurt to stand. She heard screams coming from the canals, and she limped over to them, remembering her parents words.
