"Aladdin," she insisted happily. Something shifted behind her, and Stormy tilted her head back until she saw it was Evan. "Oh! Hey, Herc," she greeted him most innocently. "Hiya. I only had a teensy sip of whiskey okay."
Straightening, she made a few gestures between the guys. "Herc, Aladdin. Aladdin, Herc. Al here is newer than me!"

Though Mimsy wasn't very skilled at social interaction, she knew that the time had definitely passed for her to sit on the table and tell stories of weird minipet conversations. She slid off of it and brushed ceiling plaster off of her leggings as she stood, unsteadily approaching Lucky in time to hear his comment about drinking too much.
She cleared her throat, put a hand on his shoulder to both steady herself and seem reassuring, and held her head high, looking at the wall above his head. Which she thought was vaguely in the area where his eyes would be.
"Drink some pickle juice. You will be fine."

Evan had long since accepted Stormy's nickname for him, even if he didn't quite understand or agree with it. It was harmless, for the most part, and it seemed to make her happy. That was enough to make him grin down at her indulgently, huffing a laugh as she insisted she hadn't drunk that much. "That's fine, Stormy, I'm not keeping track. Just don't drink too much. Or alone. Or with strangers." Well, she had appointed him her big brother; no one could fault him for acting like it.
It was a stereotype furthered when he turned his attention back to Stormy's new friend, his expression hard once more and just this side of outright threatening. "Al," he greeted with a tight nod, his voice devoid of the warmth and friendliness that he'd given Stormy.

Al just kind of stared at the newcomer for quite some time. His lips pressed into a paper thin line. He drew a slow deep breath through his nose before snorting, "Herc." His attention immediately turned to Stormy and relaxed again, yup, he was going to posture right back, "Disney fan I take it?"

She bobbed her head. "Biggest fan. Evan--Hercules--knows, huh?" Stormy tapped the sun hunter's arm with a smile, thoroughly missing how the two had stared at each other. "Promise I'm not getting drunk. I saw how mad Tuck could get, so I'm not testing that line. Besides, Al's not a total stranger since I know his name, right?"
She still glanced at the whiskey bottle Evan had and noted that if she had an especially tough night again, she was crawling to his room. Maybe letting Tuck get a bit would help ease the tension with Gnat? Then again, Gnat being drunk was what had started them fighting...
"But yeah, huge Disney fan. Loved the movies, loved the shows, all of it!" Stormy wen on with a dreamy look. "They taught me valuable life lessons~"

"What's your favourite movie? Character?" Al spurred the woman on.

Evan sighed patiently as he turned his attention back to Stormy. "Remember that talk we had about stranger danger? If it looks like a guy in a dress, and it talks like a guy in a dress, it's probably much, much worse. Trust no one until they've earned it. Ringing any bells?" He'd really have to have a talk with Tuck once the other man simmered down. Clearly Stormy was too naive to be out on her own.

Stormy gave Evan a blank look. "He's not in a dress though...?" And even if he was, that was totally rude, Herc. Some guys liked being in dresses! "And that last one was in a silk robe, that's different," she added as a matter of factly. "Besides, you're here! So I can't be in danger." And that seemed to settle that.
She turned back to Al to answer his question. "They're all my favorite," she answered quite seriously. "Even the obscure ones like Mortimer Mouse and Humphrey the Bear. I have some comics from back in the forties and fifties even!"

Al shot Evan a great big smile before turning it back on Stormy, "Wow! You really are a fan, huh? I'm pretty clueless on all that myself though... like I'm not sure who those two are." He looked worried in case she took that as an invitation to tear into him for his ignorance or to elaborate.

Pleased with his enthusiasm, she preened and managed a little smile back. "They got lost in the annals of time," she said airily. "But they still live on in old print! That's the wonderful thing about comics and books. So what about you, how d'you like Deus?"
Clearly, Evan, the only way to fight stranger danger was to befriend strangers!

Dakota was seriously contemplating the necessity of killing Jerry, how much it would affect the island as a whole, how much trouble it would be...and how angry Candace would get.
And how much more Damage he would do to his room should he actually attack. Instead, he sighed, unsummoned his weapon and sat back in his chair.
Then he slid his gaze at Mimsy.
"Mimsy what are the odds of us testing my hypothesis on physical pheromones of our bodies effecting each other right now?"

Evan really should have known better, but Stormy also really needed to be put somewhere safe, where she wouldn't be the victim of her own naivete. The moon might be far enough away, maybe, as long as Stormy didn't wander around looking for aliens.
She did have a point, though: she wouldn't be in any danger as long as he was there, and he wasn't going anywhere. He returned Al's big smile with one of his own--one that included far too many teeth to be construed as friendly.

Now certain that Lucky would definitely save himself via pickle juice, Mimsy turned to answer Dakota.
"Well, since you've put it in words specifically tailored to me..." She studied his face, letting it go in and out of focus a few times, before finally sighing and shrugging.
"...no."
She laughed, either pleased with herself or from something Svensyl said. Maybe both.
"Particularly since there is an audience. Also, Svensyl says that we should kiss now, but did you know that he is a lesser lifeform incapable of intelligent thought?"

"I'm not after anything more than a couple of cuddles Mimsy. There's no reason to stretch the theory beyond a purely professional and sometimes beneficial point." He smiled at her, holding out his arms. "Nothing more, nothing less. Just a test."
Hey that rhymed.
