Eclipse whined, shaken in body, but not in loyalty to the two. Now that he could no longer smell Mathias's evil, he returned inside with Scarlett and Roxanne. The cerberus could use a an extra tidbit in his food dish for dinner.

"It is! I could have killed the two of you!"

Lloyd was serious about this. Lilith just didn't understand what that meant to him. He was doing everything in his power not to tremble from the fear of his blood lust being used to destroy him. "I...could had...killed you..."

Lloyd kissed her back. He needed for her to do that, to say those words. However, what she said about Scarlett and going on the offensive worried him. "No, you're staying here with her and Roxy." Said the blood knight with a shake of his head. "You're not fighting him, Lilith. Not in your condition that will only get worse, I can't let you put the child in danger even with armor and your luminous blessings."

"I'm not letting our child be cursed to follow my footsteps." Lloyd didn't want to speak of this anymore outside, so headed inside with Lilith following not too far behind. "I'm not going to get killed. I will defeat Mathias, but I'm not going to put you in danger. Not when you're pregnant, Lilith."

"I know you would raise our child well even if it were alone. But I am going to defeat him, and we'll raise the child together, free of this curse." He said in response to her. Lloyd took the pregnant paladin by the arms and pulled her in to hold her. "Why can't you let me do this alone? If I don't go after him, he could do this again, and I may not come back."

"I love you too Lilith. You have no idea how much I truly do." Said Lloyd, it was clear that leaving Lilith here while he went off on his own would break her heart. Something needed to be done. "Lilith, would it be possible for us to just stay here until you have the baby? We can go after him then together, Scarlett can take care of the child while we are away. The order won't even know you were ever pregnant."

Lloyd gently lifted her head and kissed her cheek. "We'll just have to find out one way or another. Your wall won't let me down."

It would be later that evening before the writings continued....

Lloyd was sitting outside of Scarlett's home, on the porch near where she usually sat outside for her and Roxanne to get some fresh air. He had left Lilith to sleep alone to have some time to think on things.

“Oh, you know. Just the usual.”

Lloyd turned to the sound of her voice. He wasn’t expecting to hear from Scarlett, being that Roxanne had once taken much of her evenings. “You look great Scarlett.” He complimented the alchemist. His words for complimenting her have been changing over time, being more friendly in nature and being less explicit in teasing.

“I don’t think Lilith understands how much that bloodlust bothers me, not the way you have. You know how much it truly scares me, Scarlett. I nearly killed her today because I had no control over it.”
