Mai whined and put his head down on his paws. But he was right, Mai was really tired. Before Mai knew it, he was asleep. It wouldn't hurt to have just a little rest. Asher looked from the window and to Shortstraw. "Ah, good morning." She hopped onto the bed. "The dog stayed up all night. I did try to coerce it into sleeping. But that is a stubborn animal." She shrugged. "Figures. It's Kiera's dog." Asher coughed into her paw then grinned. "What's planned for today then? Hopefully something simple. Yes, something simple sounds nice."

*Shortstraw shook his head, "it's never simple. I have a feeling we should take the advantage over River while we have it, before he cooks up a new plan. I'm afrade after building the house, he may distroy it on us. And..." he looked to keria, " it's hard to know what else that bastered will come up with. He's always a step ahead, we need to be ready, we need to come up with a plan to defeat him. Else we will never fully be able to be simple living people."

Asher shrugged. "If you say so, Shortstraw." She nodded. "Yeah, it may be good to take the advantage. But are we really ready for something like that? More importantly, can-" She shook her head. "No, you're right. River is vulnerable right now." She sighed. "Even after we defeat him. You do realize we'll still never be able to live simply, right?" She snickered.

*Shortstraw chukkled* "With these two in my life, no." He pointed to keria and veria, but smiled, "but i guess thats what makes my life better then any one else. I just get really annoyed with all ths enemys after keria thing. I feel like i'm going to loose her agian you know what imean... i scared for it." He shied, "but then again i'm helpless aginst the guy, these two are the only way to beat him. So..." he sunk back into the bed, "i guess it's up to them when to strike or not. Today, lets just see what they wanna do. I guess..." he was troubled, that was obviouse. but there was nothing he could do about it, it was the truth.*

Asher sighed. "If it is how you say, then. Then there's no point worrying about something you can't change, right?" She thought for a moment. "That's what my mother used to tell me. Before... Those times..." She yawned and looked to Kiera. "It may be a while before either of them wake up. Be prepared for that. Or if you get impatient, wake them up. Now there's something you actually can change." She said cheekily. Then, before she hopped off the bed, she looked to Shortstraw. "And I wouldn't worry about Kiera. She seems to handle herself just fine. If there was a wall between you and her. Any kind of wall. She'd almost certainly destroy it."

*Shortstraw took a deep breath, "thats just it, i'm hoping that wall... isn't the wall that holds everything together. I don't know, i guess i'm overracting..." he then looked to her with a smerk, "still i wanna know about you, and your past."

Asher laughed. "Well tough nuts. I'm not telling you anything. I'm not telling anyone anything. All that kind of information shall stay with me until it manifests and dies a weak and crumbling corpse." She looked to him. "So in other words. No." She chuckled before moving over to Mai and poking his head with her paw. Yeah, he was really out of it. That was Kiera's dog all right. "Yes, you're overreacting. The last thing we need is more riddles to complicate the sad little drama that is our lives."

*Shortstraw nodded and took a deep breath, "yea your right. Although Asher..." He smerked, "i'm not giving up on finding what i want to know aobut you. I've even been looking all this time for records, although... it's alittle hard since i havn't seen that human form yet..." He made a face, "nor a whole name. I got the first name out of you but... ((and i can't even remember it XD))" He chukkled then looked to veria. He noticed his leg was now hanging off the bed due to his carlessness, and now veria was lached to it like a leech, in her deep sleep. He shied, "well i guess if we do have a probelm we can always rebuild the house later, or fix it up. Maybe we should actully work on it today... though i think we should also get kerias name cleared with the country first, somehow. After all that stuff was on the tv network and everything." He nodded.

Asher suddenly started grinning uncontrollably and then laughed. "Yes, yes. I was meaning to have a conversation with her about that, actually." She looked to Shortstraw. "I heard off the Seraphim that they've taken all their charges off her and all you guys. Although they honestly did have some reluctance with Veira's criminal past. But the public is still a problem. They probably hate you." She held her head up high. "Not me of course. I'm just a cat." She looked back to Mai. "The Seraphim won't publicly display that, though. So I was thinking of a couple of ideas."

*Shortstraw nodded, "alirght what ideas, i don't give a s**t about my name, but i need to make sure theres are clear. And of course i have you to vouch for me, since your may 'sidekick'" He chukkled, "the problem is the fact the people will be so confussed. We need a way to prove there innicence. Before they showed the documents, but we have nothing to show. So whats that CAT head of yours thinking?" He smiled.

Asher gave him a look before she put her nose in the air and turned around, flapping her tail all around the place. "This 'sidekick' has nothing to share with you. Silly mortal. My thoughts and ideas are stars you cannot fathom into constellations." She gave him a grin. "Besides. You better start caring about your reputation. Your reputation shines on the others just as much as theirs shines on you. So think carefully about that one."

*He stared at her blankly. Then nodded, "Well said." He shrugged, "though your still the 'sidekick'" He gave a large smile, "in a way. I mean deamon or not, your basicly my cat." He laughed, "i even feed you." He chukkled proudly, "and I don't pee my pants when i see your ture forms, like most." He nodded however and looked to Keria, "though your right, being the whole eam effort thing i guess it dose matter now...even Veria changed for that fact." He looked to Veria and smiled, "i still however have a feeling these two are going to tare me apart into two halves..." He shivered, "always have."

Asher sighed. "Yes, that'll always be there, unfortunately." She giggled a little. "I remember back to when you were first with Kiera, you seemed ecstatic that you'd bagged not one but two princesses." She gave him another look. "That came to bite you on the butt again, didn't it?" She sat down and licked her paw to clean behind her ear. "I'm only the sidekick because I allow it. I can still make you shatter into a million pieces with the flash of my eyes, don't forget that."

*Shortstraw laughed historicly, mockingly, "YEA RIGHT! Funny every time theres a enemy around you don't do anything to help.How about makeing a enemy shadder for us and save us all teh pain and effort? I mean not once now have a seen that work! And sure you wanna try it for a while? Huh bieng the top cat, sure i'll be the sidkick, but i wanna see as many results at least that i make..." he started as suddenly both could feel somthing add in there bodys, and suddnely both found themselves in a spirit world, standing infront of a new glowing door. This symbol however wasn't know yet. He looked to Asher, "is it just me or?"

Asher dipped her head lower as she scowled. "Here again." She glanced to the symbol. She wasn't going to argue back the fact that she never did anything when an enemy was near. Well there was a reason behind it, but she wasn't going to provoke Shortstraw any further. She'd done enough already that it may get risky if she went further. So she just licked her paw again and sighed. "Perfect."
