Nebi followed the bird intently, waiting for it to come down a little closer to the ground. She just needed it within reach and she'd be able to grab the thing.

Blasted bird was still just out of reach. Nebi realized it was doing that on purpose and laughing at her. "Just you wait, bird...." She growled threateningly.

It was still out of reach, but Nebi jumped at it anyway, swatting at the evil mini. Maybe she'd be able to knock it down far enough for her to catch it.

It worked! Nebi caught the tip of the bird's wing, sending it plummeting to the ground. Luckily, Kemnebi caught it just before it hit the ground and hurt itself. Now all she had to to is stick the struggling bird back in it's cage.

Nebi tried to shove the bird back in its cage and missed. The bird was flapping frantically and Nebi ended up shoving it towards a closed cage. Oops.

Pulling the bird to the left, Nebi tried to put it in its real cage. Instead, the bird pulled in that direction too, and Nebi ended up trying to smoosh it into the Pheonix's cage instead.

Finally! Nebi shoved the bird into the proper cage. Well, she had gotten what she wished for; a more challenging bird. Geez.

Remarkably chipper for once, Freya returned to see to catching Balthazar again. This time, the bird was already out of it's cage, cheekily sitting on a branch. She whistled up towards it, holding her arm out.

Freya stopped whistling when Balthazar remained in the tree, hopping from branch to branch, and keeping away from her. "Birdie!" She called out in surprise. "Are yeh playings games with me today?"

This was starting to hurt her feelings, Balthazar was playing a nasty little game with her, this keep away. She put her arm down and stomped her foot. "Well, if yehr goings teh plays like this, maybe I will just goes and never comes back!" She threatened weakly.

That did the trick. It was as if Balthazar took her threat very seriously. The phoenix fluttered down from the trees, and landed on her arm, head bowed down and looking contrite. She snickered and bent her head in to bump it affectionately with the phoenix. "There's a pretty birdie. No more playings keeps away with Freya, ja?"

Freya petted Balthazar on its head with her thumb, padding the digit across the soft feathers while she looked for it's cage. Why was this always so difficult? She should have remembered by now..
Well it certainly wasn't the tiny one. At least that much she figured out early on.
