╔═════════╗ --❝ Zoey ❞- ╚═════════╝ -❝ Tch!... ❞- The pink haired girl glared, she could no longer see Despair, however due to their past meetings there was no one else in her mind. And as the silouhette approached, her heart began racing. Which didn't help much to her condition as now most of her shirt was stained in a crimson red. His voice, calm and quiet only added more fear to the trembling with which fell onto her knees after her legs couldn't withstand her own weight. Gasping for air as each breathe was more painful than the other, she kept that defiant look on her eyes. -❝ hg..ngh.. ❞- She tried to speak words of some nature but the pain had suffocated her throat and words would no longer be possible. As her body felt colder, even at the brightest light of the sun, she fell on her back, still staring at Despair's silhouette as he sugested to end this once and for all. Zoey couldn't say anything in her defense, but after closing her eyes and bracing herself, it was clear she wouldn't try to run anymore. A final glare would be shot at Despair, should this be her last day, she would face her killer despite the tears in her eyes.
As Zoey fell on her back, Despair inched ever closer to the girl. It was obvious that she was in pain and terrified. Who wouldn't be? Knowing that you are about to be killed and there is nothing you can do to save yourself. No one could understand what she was going through, not unless that experience it firsthand. Standing over the girl, Despair would lean down and place his finger over the hole, aiming directly at her heart. Despair noticed the defiant look in the girl's eyes as her last sight would be of him. "Should you be granted a second life, I want you to remember this face, remember the name Despair. Seek me out and take your revenge." he would say to her before he released one quick and precise beam of energy, right at her heart.
╔═════════╗ --❝ Zoey ❞- ╚═════════╝ With only her lungs responding, the girl made as much as she could to keep breathing, but she was surely getting tired of it. As the man approached, his words would softly echo in her head as she was feeling numb. Finally, after sharing a last gaze on one another, Despair sent a beam within her chest, just strong enough to make Zoey's heart stop. Soon those eyes of her would loose their shine. And finally, all that pain would cease to harm. -❝ Despair... ❞- The name bounced in her head just few seconds after the shot before even her mind would depart that place and before him, the witch's soul would take it's place.
-❝ I need you to find this girl if it's not too much to ask. Should we not find her in time, it could be troublesome for the job you've requested from me. In fact it might put the whole operation in risk. So I would have to ask you to eliminate her. But bring her soul. And some flesh sample if you may. Get rid of the rest. There's something I would like to show you after that. ❞-
With the girl now dead, Despair would think back and recall what it is that Eva wanted. "Ah!" he exclaimed as he reached over and ripped a piece of the girl's skin off. "Flesh and her soul." he muttered just as the witch's soul appeared before him. Standing up, Despair looked at the body and with one more powerful blast, he would completely incinerate it, leaving no traces of it behind, save for the soul and the piece of skin he ripped off. With a sigh, Despair would carry the soul within a special container he had brought with him and simply held the skin in his hand. With the deed done, Despair opened a portal and left.

Gamma
After a few days of flying, camping and recharging, the Death Machine known as Gamma rolled over the horizon, if one were to look from thr top of the school, into Death City. It was silent from afar, but there was a careful whisper and grew into a dissonant hiss the closer one got to the mech. Its wrist was sparking, and its knees remained folded as it landed tentatively on the ground somewhere on the fringe of the great city. The dust from the cobbled road seemed to be deathly afraid of the robot.
Lifeform scan results: high percentage of humans concentrated around skull shaped building. Likeliness of DWMA: 95% ...Continuing audit.
The mech then started to roll toward the city square on its ankle wheels. It was surprisingly fast as those servos seemed to be pretty well in tact.
Tom Bowman had finally escaped his captors in one of the Machinist Order factories. After months of labor, upgrading Death Machines, he had finally managed to break a code on one of the training bots, causing it to go rogue for a few minutes, allowing him to escape in the process.
After considerable travel, made difficult by the need to hide frequently in various streams, using his Electric Eel form to hide from the Death Machines' scanners, he finally arrived to the outskirts of Death City.
But there, all this experience trying to survive kicked in; a Death Machine was slowly making it's way into the city. Tom was instantly on alert: What on earth is a DM doing sneaking into town?
Bowman did his best to keep his wavelength stable, in an attempt to blend in with the other humans in Death City, while he tried to get closer to this strange occurence. As he got closer, he noticed that the bot had already sustained considerable damage; Why is a damaged Death Machine on its way into Death Central? And why is no one doing anything about it?
Bowman decided to approach this particular machine; if it went into battlemode, then at least the battle would be in a relatively low-population area, and he would have reinforcements to defeat the downed bot while it was weak.
Hello, stranger. What brings you to Death City?

Gamma
About a mile out from the harrowing steps of the academy, the Death Machine registered a change in the background magnetism around him. There was also a reading from vibration sensors, although faint. Gamma stopped and waited for the wizard to approach, and cocked its gun. When he spoke, Gamma spun around like a wild boar. The sun sparked off the cold steel of its gun and for a long moment there was no speech, only room enough in the moment for tension otherwise it might burst.
Bowman held his hands up in the Machinist method of non-aggression. I'm an ex-Machinist mechanic, I used to work on Death Machines. I couldn't help but notice you were in need of repair, and that you were way out of your normal range of operation. Bowman thought carefully about whether he should reveal his name or not; then he noticed that the numbers on the body of the robot were DM-102; the bot that had went AWOL recently. If that was the case, the bot probably hadn't been updated with the news that Bowman had just escaped from the Machinists.
I'm Tom Bowman. At your service.

The robot's stare was unwavering as Bowman identified the reason he was approaching it before eventually himself. Its eyes blinked a red for a second before returning to green on the mentioning of "normal range."
Bowman realized he had probably somewhat goofed; but why would a DM ask for the normal range to be defined?
Right now, I think the "normal range" for you is the Repair Shop. Give me a second and I'll find out where it is in this town. They may not have the expertise to fix you, but if they have the tools, I can take care of it.

"...Error. Ulterior motives suggested. Commencing body heat scan." After a moment, the robot returned to this plane of reality.
"Scan failure! Limited solutions..."
"Tim Bowman, mechanic... Your condition is poor. Analysis concludes 95% probability that this is Shibusen. They may welcome you.
Bowman was amused by 102's response. Ulterior motive? If you mean keep him from blowing up the city, then yes. 102's failure to scan properly interested him; he would need to tread carefully on this weird programming issue.
"I can find a workshop. Do you want to follow me to make sure I don't do anything "ulterior," or do you want to stay here?"

Gamma put away its gun and turned around toward the city.
"Electromagnetic signature registered; you may proceed to the city. I will catch up at nightfall." Gamma knew better than to rush into the city in broad daylight, especially in this condition.
(Here we'll do a timeskip and all that fun stuff.)
After a while of waiting, the sun had finally gone down and Gamma sparked to life again, his sleep timer running out. Sleep mode was handy in his case. It gave him a chance to recharge and run some proxy checks, almost like dreaming. With a streamline woosh it went into the city, low and dark on its ankle wheels. Gamma would make good use of its EM scanner to find Bowman.
