What are the DC laws regarding animals such as wolfdogs and coydogs? Do they require any permits? Or can they be adopted as per usual without them?

The State of Virginia allows each County, City, or Town to determine its own system in handling hybrid animals. Destiny City's laws require that if the person is aware that their pet is a hybrid with wild parents that the animal needs to be registered and an agreement signed that should anything happen, the owner of the animal held accountable for damages. An inspection is also included in this to deem that the owner is able to accommodate the needs of the breeds.

However, should the animal be a mutt and adopted without knowledge of the ancestors, registration is not required unless the owner is made aware through tests provided by a licenced veterinarian.

If a knight of Chronos or Castor or Ganymede was to become a Royal Knight, would there be anything statistically unusual about them due to their royals being currently alive and in such close proximity?

Canonically, only worlds that have a princess are eligible to have Knights, so in the past it would have been expected for Royal Knights to have been in close proximity to their Senshi. However, unlike Senshi, Knights do not get their power specifically from the world their wonder is on. Instead, their power is mostly fueled through the Code piece hidden on that wonder, and the magic they are gifted is strengthened by the world they are on and manifests with the power themes of that world. Because of this, Royal Knights (or any Knight in general!) do not ICly receive additional strengths or boosts by being in close proximity of the Prince/ss of that world.

OOCly, this rule is also in place to ensure all Knights are given a fair playing ability! Because the shop does not intend to introduce NPC Princes/ses that reflect the canon senshi, it would be unfair to give PC Princes/ses and their Knights a boost that cannot be shared across the entire Knight faction. The exception to this rule would be if the Royal Senshi wanted to run a specific, possibly one time only, plot on their homeworld, but this would require discussion with staff before anything could be approved!

Would creating a youma out of a dying (normal) citizen of Destiny City give them the opportunity for a second chance on living as they are now a monster full of Chaos energy or would they still be inflicted with whatever ailment, sickness or injury they sustained prior? Example: Granny Eddins has advanced heart failure and stage four lung cancer. General Arnold decides to convert her into a youma in an attempt to spare her from dying and/or because he just wants a new minion for the Negaverse's army. What would happen?

Should an Agent wish to youmafy a dying civilian who has no other powers, the Chaos pumped into the person could be enough to 'repair' the body as they transform into a youma. Chaos is fully able to give them some if not all of their strength back on top of extending their life (if the player desires--a player could also plot that the youma it makes is weak!). But it is possible for a sick civilian to be transformed into a strong/'healthy' youma.

The youmas strength can depend upon the character who corrupted them; a General may be able to turn a frail person into a powerful youma where as a lieutenant may get a weaker one. The person dying could also play into how the youma turns out; a weak body does not always mean a weak youma if their starseed/soul was strong. Most of these decisions are up to the player. We just ask that when doing so, please send in a plot for review just to make sure all bases are covered! A lieutenant shouldn't be turning their grandmother into one of the most powerful youma ever seen just because she made them eat their veggies!

Do a senshi and their bonded cat need to be on the same side? Is there any 'morphic resonance' between a Senshi and their bonded cat?

If a senshi and a cat were bonded in their past lives, it is completely possible that they may have landed on different sides in present day. However, if they have ended up one different sides, this means that the bond is not present until one side swaps to join the other. The part on chaos may feel an unexplained longing towards the order character, or the order character may have some past life memories of their previous bond with the other, but there will be no bond or benefits of bonding in present day unless the characters were on the same side. Should one of them side swap after obtaining their bonded status, the bond will be re-broken.

staff has been able to purchase full youma, but they are not listed for purchase in the crown token thread. when will this character class be eligible for purchase via crown tokens?

While the eventual plan is to release full youma for purchase through Crown Tokens, they do not presently have a release date. Because this is a relatively new faction with very unique rules, we are currently in the process of a slow release. We are listening to feedback from PC youma players and observing weaknesses and faults with the current rules for them so that we can eventually have a fuller, more detailed write up. While staff has the option to purchase these single-stage, straight to youma characters, any player can submit a plot to youmafy their character. Any powered character may be eligible for youmafication however to youmafy them, the player will need to PM the mule after filling out the proper form, a plot, and awareness of what youmafication means for their character. The form and information on youmafication can be found here. We encourage anyone interested in youmafying their character to review the Faction Swapping thread!

If/When single stage, straight to youma characters (that is, youma that were not first obtained powered characters in moonshop that were youmafied through plot) become available for purchase through Crown Tokens, we will make an announcement!

How much do youma recall of their civilian life/life pre-youmafication? Does who they're youmafied by make any difference?

When a character is youmafied, they lose all traces of their civilian self. They become more animalistic and lose almost all emotions. They still possess traces of their civilian self, however are a new creature entirely. They may remember small some things about their life prior to becoming a youma, however this will feel like trying to remember a dream you've nearly forgotten.

If a character is youmafied, what happens to their lineage? Here are a few specific questions:

1. Sailor Antiope was corrupted into the youma Mantidae. This means: there will never be another Sailor Antiope since the starseed of that senshi has essentially been destroyed?
2. If an unawakened senshi is corrupted into a youma, would the same as the above occur, with the Senshi being permanently removed from reincarnation?
3. What happens if a Knight is youmafied? Does their mantle as a Knight pass on to the next available person, regardless of if they are reincarnated/descended, or only if they are a descended knight?
4. If an unawakened Knight is youmafied, presuming the above is true and youmafying a reincarnated Knight removes them from reincarnation, would this still remove them from the cycle?

Sorry about all the questions -- I'm just very curious about youma ;;

In the near future, there will be some information released about youma that may affect these answers. However, as things are presently IC, the current answers are:

1. Sailor Antiope's starseed is trapped within the youmaified form of Sailor Antiope. There will be no new Sailor Antiope and should the youma be permanently dusted, that starseed is gone forever.
2. If a civi is youmafied, that means the senshi will never awaken. It would be same result as above. The starseed is trapped with the youma or permanently dusted should the youma been destroyed.
3. For a Knight, this depends on if the Knight was reincarnated or a descendant. If the knight is Reincarnated, youmifed, and the youma is dusted permanently, the starseed is gone forever. In the Past, should something have happened, the Academy would have assigned a new Knight to the wonder. However, as there is no Academy present day, that wonder would no longer have a knight. If the knight was a descendant, the powers would go to the next person in the bloodline. However, this would require a PM and a plot to to sent to staff so we could work with the player on this. The starseed must also be completely dead. Just because the knight has become a youma does not mean that it is out of play. That youma must be dusted for good before the powers are able to move on.
4. This would be the same case as above!

Would a youmaglia show up on any sort of medical scanning, since it is a physical being? The same question applies to tracker youma like Kadyrelite's Strytha.

A youmaglia would not show up on any sort of scans. Though it has a physical form, it is still a part of chaos. Just as youma body parts merged with a being would not show up, this too would not. At this time, there is no way to link any medical items to anything related to powers. They will only detect civi related aliments.

Do guardian cats age, or are they basically 'paused' as far as aging goes at the time of their awakening?

Cats do not age naturally but a player is welcome to send in a plot if the cat was a kitten at the time of awakening to age up to an adult should they wish!

If Scholomance steals Hy-Brasil's signet ring, can he use that signet ring to use his planetary aspect? If so, would it be the Saturn planetary aspect or the Earth planetary aspect that occurs?

If the planetary aspect is incompatible when Scholomance is using Hy-Brasil's ring, then would he be able to use the Saturn planetary aspect if he stole Aokigahara's ring instead?

Basically, are planetary aspects only accessible when a knight has their own ring, or since the aspects are homogenized across planets, can the knight access their planetary aspect with another ring of the same planet as themselves? And what happens if they get ahold of a ring that wasn't of their planet? Would they be able to use the aspect associated with that ring?

No, a Knight's ring can only be used by the Knight who inherits it from their wonder. Even if the Knights are from the same planet, they could not activate each other's rings in any capacity. For anyone besides the Knight the ring is attuned with, it is just a piece of jewelry.

idk if this has been asked before but;

Where are cosmos wonders located?

Most knights are on a senshi planet, but Cosmos is based in the cauldron and I assume the wonders aren't there. Some cosmos knights have islands floating out in space on their own, is that the case for all Cosmos knights?

Or, are their wonders sometimes located on other planets? Could a cosmos knight have a wonder physically located on mars, for example?

Cosmos wonders must be in space. They can be free floating, orbit a nearby plant, or even be orbiting around a planet but they cannot be on a planet. Their power comes from the cosmos so they must be in space somewhere. If they were on a physical planet, their power source would come from that planet and not Cosmos.

how many cats can a court have?

This depends on the size of the court. The ratio should be approximately one cat per four senshi in a Court. There is not currently a concrete cap on this number because cats are an addition to the court and not a requirement to have, however cats should never outnumber the senshi of a court.

Looking at the [Faction} thread for Corrupted senshi brought up some rp related questions -

Regular Senshi henshin up using their pens and call phrase to do the little sparkle dance with lights and ribbons. Likewise, a mauvian can evolve the senshi via modifying the pen(new style) or star-to-chest(old style) to effect the starseed of the senshi. They also have their senshi phones, given by the mauvians.

How do Corrupted senshi henshin up? And does it differ at all pending straight-to-chaos or faction swap? Does a faction swapped corrupted still have their henshin pen and phone ( and they just don't work ) ? How do chaos Mauvians evolve them- pen, star-to-chest, other method? Can Chaos cats still produce henshin pens and phones?

If they can still summon the things from hammerspace, what is the nothing- doesn't turn on? Static/fuzz? Is it like the corrupted-knight rings and is just a paperweight ?

((Staff is aware that Corrupted Guardian Cats are stunted in abilities and are working to remedy this and provide more playability, however we are answering these questions as they pertain to shop in its current standing; when this information changes, we will make an announcement to address it!))

A henshin pen is still required for a corrupt senshi to power up. If they are corrupted from the white moon, they keep their existing pen post corruption. If they are awakened directly into the Negaverse through a General Sovereign, they will only get their pen (as well as name and sphere) if a cat is present. If a Guardian Cat is not present at the time of awakening, one will need to be sought out so they can create a pen for that Senshi.

At present, only a General Sovereign is able to power up a corrupt senshi, as this requires channeling more chaos magic into the Senshi's starseed. The henshin pen would only upgrade form if a Guardian Cat manually upgraded the pen after the Senshi was promoted by a General Sovereign, however even if a Guardian Cat didn't alter the pen in any way, the Senshi would be able to reach the new stage with their original pen. It would be a purely aesthetic upgrade to the pen.

Phones are an Order only form of communication as they are linked to the Order Mauvian base for use. Once a Senshi corrupts, the phone disappears into an unreachable subspace and they are no longer able to access or summon it.

How does awakening as a Guardian Cat work? Does the cat just not have a star/human-level intelligence until one day something clicks and the star appears/they wake up?

A guardian cat awakens on their own. While the cats are born with their star symbol in place, it is hidden from everyone (regardless of alignment) until the cat awakens. This is to protect the cat from powered enemies until they are capable of defending themselves. Once the cat is ready to awake, the glamour on the star melts away and their human level intelligence kicks in. They do not need anyone to awaken them; like Knights, when the time is ready, they simply 'power up'!

Corrupted Guardian cats all awaken as White Moon Mauvians and must be corrupted into the Negaverse. No Guardian Cat ever awakens into Chaos!

What is the official ruling on having items on powered art that comes from another character?

For example, could Labyrinthite tear off the charm from his weapon and give it to Alkaid just because and have it reflect on her art/powered form? Or would it disappear the next time he powered down?

Is that something that has to be submitted to the mule for, like with Cavansite and her 'trophies' from opponents?

(EDIT: I am operating under the assumption that the same rule of things disappearing when powered down is still active and correct.)

With player permission, a character may remove one thing from their uniform and give it to another player to wear (or, in some cases, a character might steal a trinket and keep it). For small trinkets, we allow players to do this at their own discretion; the original uniforms may replenish the item that was given/stolen or may be permanently changed, depending on what the player wants to do.

If the item is added to the other character's uniform before they power down, the next time they power up it will remain. We ask that uniform pieces only transfer from powered person to powered person, and a plot be sent in if it is to be given to someone who is unpowered or if the item being given is substantially larger than a small trinket or if, by incorporating this item into a uniform, it would breach faction uniform guidelines.

If Labyrinthite removed a charm from his weapon, he could give it to Alkaid. The charm may be replenished on his uniform the next time he powers up or be permanently gone. If Alkaid attaches the charm to her uniform before powering down, it will become a permanent feature on her uniform. If she does not attach it before powering down, it will disappear.

What's the correct naming procedure for Knights out of the following?

1. Anakeion Squire of Castor
2. Anakeion, Squire of Castor
3. Squire Anakeion of Castor

All of these are correct and it is up to player to decide how they want to label their character. Most commonly, and on shop official documents like the master character list, it is written:

[Name], [Rank] of [Homeworld]

However, it would not be not untrue or incorrect for the player or their characters to use any of the variations you listed.
