Maya nuzzled Tenka lightly in response. Flint nodded and pressed the button releasing the deerling "Rush is fine, this deerling made friends with him i guess and followed him back to camp." he said and leaned over to pet her. She bleated and rubbed her head against his hand happily.

Shikari dove into her soup. It had been a long day, and she felt like she was starving. Actually, come to think of it, she hadn't had a real good meal in some time. It was her fault, having left home without a sufficient supply of cash. "This is delicious!" she exclaimed happily at some point between bites.

Thanih accepted the bowl without a reply of gratitude. Tucking it under one arm and leaning against his bone cane, the old Marowak tried his best to return to Cetus to eat. Much to this chagrin, it was harder than he expected. Each step caused some broth to splash out and meld with the underlying earth, little puddles of delicious smelling mud marking his path.
Cetus quirked a brow when he was close enough and even drew out a hand to pick the bowl from him so he could comfortably walk. In return, he shifted his bone up and cracked her in the back of the hand. The whack made her withdraw and twisting up her mouth, she watched her shiny Pokemon finally take a seat by her. He dropped his bone haughtily tipped the bowl onto his mouth without any care for cleanliness.
Turning back to the group, Claramay sighed. "Ahh, we're really far from civilization now." she commented happily, than turned to Shikari's comment. "It was." she added with a smile.

"Glad you like it!" Shina told Shikari. To Flint, she said "Oh, how adorable! That is so sweet!"
Tenka made a happy chuur, then darted to the edge of the campsite. He flicked his tail a few times, looked back at Maya, then disappeared into the underbrush.

Maya looked around then scurried after him, disappearing as well. Flint nodded again, he continued to pet her while he tried to think of a name, he didn't want to just call her deerling, not when all his other Pokemon had nicknames. "hmm... i think Lorelai would be a good name, what do you think?" he asked directing his question to the pink Pokemon. She nodded enthusiastically and bleated happily, Lorelai, that was a nice name. He smiled " then Lorelai it is!" Rush stood off to the side watching them with approval, Lorelai would fit in just fine.

"That's a pretty name." Shina watched the two Emolga run off. "Maya and Tenka have certainly hit it off, don't you think?" Shina ate a bit more of her soup, then petted Annabell's head. The Furret chuured and rubbed against the petting hand.

Koorie hadn't moved at all when soup was called, instead choosing to stay at her seated spot near the fire. It wasn't like she wasn't hungry, goodness knows she could eat since she was literally scraping along the rest of the day, but she felt rather uncomfortable eating food from a group she wasn't even really a part of. She wathced silently as Rush made his way back to his trainer, pink deerling in tote with him, and a very small smile tugged at the corner of her mouth.
Miu shifted beside her trainer, adjusting her curled tails a little and resting her head against the side of Koorie's leg. She wasn't exactly happy at the fact that she was being exposed to so many people, and a very small growl came from her until her trainer began to stroke the top of her head again.
When the other woman sat near Flint, Koorie watched her for a few moments before giving Miu a final pat on the head and standing up. She walked over to Shina and nodded to Flint. "Sorry to interupt. I was told you were in charge of this group. If you've got an opening, I would like to join in. It seems... interesting." She wasn't sure why she was doing this, but it certainly seemed much more lively... besides, she could always quit if she wanted to.

"Seems there are a lot of nice people here," Shikari chimed in happily. "You'll be fine." She sipped up the last of her soup. "What was that that was growling?"

Flint nodded in agreement, he had noticed it too. " yeah, they seem to get along well. wonder if anything will come of it?" he mused quietly. He smiled up at Koorie when she came over to ask Shina if she could join. Even if she was a bit scary, it was always a good thing to have more people along for the trip.

"The growling was from a Vulpix. They are sort of like Growlithe, but thier face shape is closer to that of a Furret. They also have six tails, though I don't recommend touching them. Vulpix don't like having their tails touched, for the most part, and their evolution, Ninetails, really hate anyone but their mates, kits, or very trusted longtime trainers touching their tails," Shina explained, trying to phrase the description in a way that would make sense to the blind girl.

Koorie was taken by surprise with how easily she'd been accepted, and she blinked a couple of times before nodding. "Thank you...." She shifted a little, taking a step back and glancing at Flint. He was smiling.... what the hell was he smiling at? A small frown flickered over her face before she turned to look at Shikari.
"If you mean the feint growling earlier, that would probably have been Miu. She's not fond of people..." She glanced over at her vulpix, who had cautiously gotton up and was skirting slowly around to get to her trainer as she carefully watched the other humans.
Miu froze mid-step as Shina spoke about her, watching the human with her bright blue eyes and her tails flicking a little.
Koorie's gaze rested back on Shina as well. "You know a bit about vulpix then...."

"Yes. I had a very thorough education. Your vulpix is quite beautiful," Shina said. She didn't look directly at the skittish pokemon, instead looking a bit to the side of the fox in a less threatening manner. "Feel free to grab her her own bowl of soup as well. I imagine the fish will be to her taste."

Heal's ninetails tilted his head head, looking over when he heard someone mention vulpix and his own species. Letting out a soft yip, Arthmael got up and away from Heal, walking over to see what they were speaking off. Ah, would you look at that, a little vulpix.
@ Eienna:
The pokemon's trainer looked over to the blind girl. "There is stories out there that grabbing the tail of ninetails holds terrible curse. I think its mostly myth told to children so they won't grab a strange ninetail's tails and get bitten..."

Shina laughed lightly. "I admit, the tails are very tempting. They are fluffy, and numerous, and very soft looking. Who wouldn't want to pet them?"
