Seventh year Slytherin prefectDaemon jogged into the room. "Sorry professor," He said formally. "There was a small scuffle on the staircase." He moved to a statue, swiftly waving his homework to the teacher. "Confringo!" he intoned. The maniquin bulged a second, then exploded, showering Daemon in cotton.

"Let's make this a little more interesting. I got 5 house points for the next two people who manage to pull off their assigned spells non-verbally." I said addressing the whole class after watching most perform the spell successful by saying the incantation aloud.

Gryffinclaw Quidditch Captain Sparrow heard Professor Reynolds say that points would be given to those that could do the spell non-verbally. Sparrow was taken aback. That was very advanced magic for the younger years like herself. Sparrow didn't think she would be capable of it. She had read that they were possible and seen it in some occasions, but had rarely attempted it fearing something would go wrong. The only time she attempted it was the spell Lumos and only then it only gave a dim light as if it was dying.

 Harmony Trumarie...
Harmony stared at Nam, puzzled, was he just a gentle soul? Chivalrous? The Stunning Charm was useful in dangerous situations...
"Are you sure you won't give it a try? After all the choice between the attacked--test dummy and the attacker--stunning spell caster doesn't really exist in the classroom." Harmony crossed her arms, and heard the professor announce he'd give out House points to those who could perform the spell non-verbally. She ignored the the challenge, looked at Sparrow and asked.
"Would mind being my test dummy? She smiled softly. "Don't worry I'll bring you back myself if I have to, but I think Nam should perform the counter-curse this time."

Sparrow turned to Harmony as she asked if she would be her test dummy. Sparrow nodded and said, "Sure," She got into a position where she wouldn't hurt anybody or anybody around her and said, "whenever you're ready."

She then reluctantly turned to Heart. She looked the Ravenclaw up and down, and scoffed. "Forgive me, Heart. Find it within your good and gracious heart to forgive me!" She cried sarcastically.

Gryffinclaw Quidditch Captain Sparrow looked over to some commotion where Professor was scolding a student and when he turned around the student she recognized as Antoinette made a swat at him. She was starting to dislike that kid, and she was tempted to take points from Slytherin, but she had never taken any points away yet and was reluctant, so instead Sparrow yelled over, "Antoinette! That is inappropriate! This is a warning, If i catch you doing anything else of these sorts you WILL have points taken away by me." Sparrow then turned back and focused her attention on Harmony and the task at hand while hearing Antoinette give a sacrastic apology to Heart. Sparrow frowned, but said no more and tried to focus on Harmony and Nam.

Nam nodded to Harmony. "If some one wants to attack me..." He stopped and decided all the truthful answers weren't things he should say. "...well, I have a better chance of running away than fighting back, any way. I don't want to hurt any one." He added the last part to hopefully sate the confusion in her eyes. For once he wasn't nervous about being called upon to cast a spell. Rennervate was something he was pretty sure he could do, though the spell may always remind him of those empty doll eyes...
"So long as I don't have to cushion her fall. I'd accidentily turn her to mush." He tried to shake the creeping red off his face, remembering the time he'd 'liquified' his dummy instead of 'spongifying' it. He stepped away from Sparrow to give Harmony space, but winced as she started ranting off on Antionette while his back was turned to her. He glanced at the little slytherin - she was a piece of work from what he'd seen. Though he had no opinion of her yet. He wondered why Sparrow was telling her off while the teacher was in the middle of doing so himself.

"Well I suppose one more practice run each just to make certain we have everything down and memorized would be good. But I doubt we'd need to much more practice so long as we're good on our second run." he said thoughtfully.

Harmony nodded at Nam's response, knowing he was holding back the truth. She respected his privacy, so she wouldn't dig. Harmony chuckled slightly, wondering if he was really that bad at the Cushioning Charm as he claimed...or was it a joke?
Harmony was about to cast the charm when Sparrow started to yell at Antoinette. Harmony face-palmed herself, mumbling something in French without realizing it. She faced Sparrow, pointing her wand at her fellow 3rd Year and said. "Stupefy!"

"Well it sounds a bit difficult, but I'm always in the mood for a good challenge." He smiled, he wasn't sure if he could actually pull it off being only second year. But 'you should always at last try' as his father would say, of course he was talking about potions that always blew up in his face.. but he was certain the advice would work just fine here too.
