Red had moved around him, standing close to the peak's edge and looked out as he spoke. Her hands were shoved in her pockets again, her hair flowing in her wake. Honeyed hues took in the grand view, random groups of snowflakes drifted endlessly into the abstract. "The price to love him was too great, but I willingly paid it anyway. He was everything I wanted..... I died for love, Alistair. It was enough to set me free but make no mistake, " Her tone was somber as she looked back at him. "It won't happen again." The red head was absolute, even in the chaos of confusion and loss, she had been sure of one thing; she had to be stronger. She had purpose, a resolve.
Thuds scraped at the stone and debris as she turned away from the expansion of the ocean, walking back towards him. "It sounds like a deal," a small smile pulling up the corners of her lips. "You can buy the drinks though." Of course she was joking, maybe, it wasn't exactly easy to tell. "Let's go. We have work to do." She would need to find Kirin, that is if he was still in Nocturne and find the answers to her questions from him, and then there was always her job now. Alistair more than likely had his own things to carry out, after all, he is King.
Red would start back down the mountain, making her way back to the eternal night city.

From behind a rather large boulder stares two piercing red orbs, Greed can hear a snarling growl as the hound comes forth ready rip off a piece of flesh. After all, not many venture up here that often and Spot here is hungry. It has a nice plush mane along its backside, making it harder to break through and acid drips from its hungry maw as it eyes Greed like he was a chicken wing from KFC.
It lets out a piercing howl and bolts directly for the man.

Greed
The Devil's Advocate • Rank: Novice • bloodline: Diobolus • Class: Berserker • currently equipped: Bottom right picture • feeling:
Feared Exalted Evil? Greed sighed as he heard the vicious snarl. Apparently, his prayers wouldn't be heard. He saw the creature jump out from behind cover, but would hold his ground. The beast was running in a fairly straight forward fashion at Greed, making this kill a bit too easy for the Diabolus. He wants food... I guess i'll feed him something. Hopes he likes hot & ready homemade tridents. He stood his ground, allowing the beast to believe he was paralyzed with fear until it got rather close. Suddenly, his left arm arched backwards palm facing out, and a trident made of pure jet black energy forming in his hand. He would then throw it directly at the creatures face at a near point blank range, the trident spiraling out of his hand a whirring through the air like a spinning top at the beast's face. Since it had currently been so focused on simply eating him and taking a chomp out of him it's mouth would more than likely be open and the trident would probably enter through there, tearing up the insides and coming out the other side if Greed's sneak attack went as planned. Since the hound was a rather large target, even if it managed to move it's face out of the way Greed was still bound to hit some part of it's body at such a close range. The trident could cut straight through iron, and as such probably wouldn't have a very hard time drilling through the hound.
Skills used: Trident of Lucifer B The caster summons up massive amounts of dark energy into the palm of a raised hand. This spear is "thrown" at the opponent. It will zip through the air at some speed(+2) and with enormous strength(+2) as well. The thrown, spinning trident will create a vortex of energy about it strong enough to cut iron. Just it passing by is a hazard.
(Iron form 3/10) (Fighting spirit 3/10) Theme song • Strength: 12 • Speed: 7 (tail has a speed of 9) • Energy: 550 "If you don't give me what I want, this might be rather... messy."

The hound made a bone snapping yelp as the trident was lodged through its mouth in a spiraling vortex of black doom. The wolf-like dog gave one final attempt for an attack as it lunged forward and fell. Its body twitched and it whined for a few minutes before death finally came. Blood pooled underneath it and Greed was able to pass by.

XXXXXXX The city wasn't a very enjoyable place. It was loaded with everything a Mer didn't want. In the end, Hadrian ended up venturing out into the mountain range, staring up at the high peaks, the towers standing vigilant over the nation. With one jump, he made it halfway up one of the smaller mountains. On his second jump, he made it to the top, where he stared over at everything beneath him; the whole of Nocturne, he felt, could be seen from here. On the third jump, he made his way to a higher peak, and continued until, on the tenth jump, he stood on the mountain directly beneath the moonlight peak. He could see the city from here, and the frozen wasteland to the east. He could see the border to Pronta, which was blocked by a massive fort. While he loved the depths of the sea, he also loved the sight from far above. He wished that one day, he could ride on the back of his dragon, go to the highest possible point his mortal body could permit, and look upon all of the world at once. He wanted to see the nations in harmony, and not just on a map.
It was an impossible dream, but there it was. "I feel the need to say something stupid," He started, "Like I'm at the top of the world, or anything to that rendition. Instead, though, I'll just sit around for a while and bask in the scenery." The Dragoon rolled his eyes, and laughed at his own words. It was only a moment later that he leaped once more, but this time, all the way back down to the earth. It was a risky move, but he knew the limits of his power. He could, in fact, fall from all this way up and emerge safely. When he hit the ground, which must've been thousands of feet below, he rolled over on the ground and plastered his face with a joyous expression. He was really, honestly proud of himself, and had been for some time now. He felt happy to know that he was finally getting somewhere in life; that his dreams were becoming solid.
His drake wandered over to him, and licked the Mer's cheek. Then, after that, he fell onto his back and they both rolled in adolescent stupidity together.
