[A touch of death]

Description: Urgent- There has been absolutely no contact with the town of Tetsuya for more then 12 days and were getting worried. We are hiring you to go in a investigate, and solve any "problem" you may encounter.

Giglamesh wouldnt answer her question right off the bat, maybe he had to correlate a good answer or perhaps he was trying to not scare her further. Giglamesh was still pretty calm, that was until they came to the edge of the fog. He would actually stop at the edge of it, it was not the thickest fog...however it was very odd how it literally kind of just stopped right there. Giglamesh didnt like this, it was a pretty hot day out in the wasteland and hasnt been cool for some time....so what exactly was making this fog? He was ready before...but no he would actually grasp the handle of his Xm-29, Unattaching it from his tactical vest and placing his left hand on the underside of the barrel. He would grab the slide with his right hand and pull it back loading a bullet in to the chamber and he would grab the handle assuming the modern rifle combat stance, he would enter the fog and after river followed him him he would speak low to her. "You asked what would stop one thousand people from seeking help?........something is keeping anything from leaving." He was playing around to make her more nervous, yet it was also the only logical answer he could come up with.
Houses began coming closer and closer together, they had no damage, and absolutely no signs of life. It was as if everything had just...vanished. There were no bodies, no blood, not even signs of a fight. Just a empty town with eerie silence and spooky fog. They fog itself wasnt even very think it made vision a little bit harder, yet didnt cut out view till around thirty feet. In combat stance giglamesh continued to look threw the electronic scope of the Xm-29, but there was simply nothing to see but what looked like a abandoned town. Yet they would still travel onward hopefully soon they would encounter some type of clues as to what happened and they were quickly moving out of the residential area and in to the actual town.

River stayed close to gig once they entered the strange fog. Freaking… this is so freaky… She thought keeping her hands near her gun blades. As Gig spoke she thought, Well ya obviously. It was then she realized he did not have any clue to what happened here. This town was a freaky mystery that could only be solved by plunging ahead. The worst thing about this place was the silence. It was beyond quiet. Not even a breeze came. Just nothing aside from their footsteps. With Gig’s ninja walking it’s even more quiet. She thought and she hugged herself a moment. If someone freaking jumps out I swear I will scream. She thought suppressing a shudder. It’s a different type of fear, she was not scared for her life; oh no it was fear of the unknown.

After advancing where they were starting to be surrounded by buildings, they would come up to a fork in the street leading left and right. gig would just stop his advance and let out a small sigh. "I know your not going to like this, but...." Giglamesh would remove two ear pieces from his tactical vest and place one in his left ear. Then he would toss the other to river. "...To cover more ground...it would be best if we split up...maybe then we will be able to get atleast a clue of what happened here." He was just looking around in place with the scope of his xm-29...not that there was anything going on. Giglamesh would begin going down the street to there left, leaving river the street to the right. "Ill take left and you take right....hey riv....issnt splitting up how people usually die in scary movies?" Giglamesh would say with a smirk trying to lighten the mood, and as he would begin to vanish from her sight in the fog as he walked away from her.

”Ehhhhhhh?? She said but Giglamesh had already disappeared into the fog. … ….. Ok… I can handle this… She thought and she took out her gun blades. ”If there’s anything freaky or creepy go to the left path please…” She muttered and took a deep breath and she headed down the right path ahead of her. I can do this. Come on man I can handle this. She sighed and she started down the creepy empty street. The fog seemed to engulf all leaving only a little of visibility. Of course that made things worse. Her imagination made her see images in the wisps. She trusted her hearing… though she found herself easing away from a few of the “images” seen. A part of her wondered if this was some prank gone awry. She saw a building not that far away and she decided to investigate.

Giglamesh continued to advance and while it was eerie it no longer bothered him, so he was no longer advancing in the rifle combat stance, yet he still hand both hands on his Xm-29 and finger on the trigger. It was nothing just a small little town with some weird fog. Was everybody just kidnapped? ...there was no sing of a struggle that he had seen. Was everybody eaten by a huge monster? The size it would of had to of been to eat one thousand people would cause major damage to buildings as it passed. ...then where the ******** where they all?
Just then in the distance he saw a silhouette and he moved forward faster just in time to barely see a woman in a night gown enter a alley. "Miss...Miss!" giglamesh jogged over to the alley and walked in behind her, the woman was kneeling with her hands to her face moving her head. "Miss...could you tell me what happened to everybody else." The woman stopped and dropped her hands and began to stand, then he saw what dropped from her hands. It was just that a human had that looked as if a dog had gnawed on it. "What the....hey!?" The woman rushed him as he looked at the hand and he managed to keep her back with his rifle and she reached at, and snarled viciously trying to grab and bite him like a rabid beast. Giglamesh held her at bay for a moment before throwing her down to the ground using the rifle, then he would back further in to the alley, now in the rifle combat stance. "Mam calm down...im here to help!"
The woman got back up and charged at him again hands out and snarling, which giglamesh would then reluctantly shoot her in the left knee three times with the xm-29's three round burst. The fire of shot would ring threw out the silent town. "MAM I SAID CALM THE ******** DOWN!...i wont repeat my ...se...lf..." She was trying to stand back up, the bullet had literally shattered her knee muscle was in plain sight ripping and tearing, yet her goal was still to get giglamesh. Then and as her coagulated blood fell to the ground like chunks of jello he got a horrible feeling. He began pressing the button to switch threw the scope's viewing modes. From the normal scope, to night vision, then to thermal....thats when he saw it. She no longer had anybody heat, she was dead. <********> Giglamesh fired again this time at her head. The muzzle fire would light the alley showing the silhouette of the top half of the womans head being blow off, followed by the familiar blood splatter on the alley walls. Giglamesh would then press the hail button on the ear pieces in his left ear with left index finger. "River we've got walkers! ...I repeat we have dead walkers inbound! Advance and rendezvous at the center of town."
With that the walking dead began to show themselves climbing out of trash, from under and out of cars, from inside buildings. The walking dead was coming out from the wood work hungry and the only things there were river and gig, meaning two against a thousand...well nine hundred ninety nine.....nine hundred ninety eight as giglamesh fired another three round burst at a zombie approaching from the alley.

2 Zombie encounter: After every Travel post roll 1d6,
Roll of 1 means 1 zombie encounter

River heard the radio static before she heard Gig’s remark. Aww s**t… She thought and replied into the mic, ”You know I told you this was a bad idea…” She was upstairs on the second floor of the house which now knowing what they were facing suddenly made the bright idea to explore, a dumb idea. She quickly but quietly headed back down the stairs and saw two people in the living room of the home that was once empty. One was holding an arm that seemed to be that of a toddler. River grimaced and slowly backed towards the back door. Luck seemed to be with her because she was able to escape the house, only to come face to face with the rest of the child. River gagged ad turned away, but the child’s face would forever ring in her mind. The eyeball dangled from it’s left socket and blood steadily dripped from it’s missing jaw gnawed off from it’s parents. They had just tossed the remains into the backyard like it was trash, most of the body had been picked of it‘s flesh, though one tiny sneaker remained attached by a thread to the child‘s twisted leg. River closed her eyes a moment and shook her head then she hurried past trying to get her baring so she could find the center of the town.

[Travel post]
There were far to many in the street to fight threw that way so giglamesh would decide to take the alleys, were its more closed in, yet only a few can charge at the same time. Giglamesh ran further away from the main street and couldn't help but wonder, What turned all of the people in this town...That woman...didnt have any bites that he could see so then what? It was a difficult question to answer as river and gig were clueless to what was going on, there goal for now was rendezvous. As he was jogging down the alley he had to turn a corner only for multiple zombies to be head of he quickly walking in a clumsy manner towards him. He stopped and attempted to go back but a few zombies from the street were approaching. Giglamesh looked around and spotted a door kicking it in he would enter the building gun drawn. It was a kitchen so it might of been a restaurant or something. Giglamesh didnt care he carefully ran threw the the kitchen and in to the front of the diner.

ღRiver hopped over a fence and found her way back to the street. She was glad she didn’t run into any more half eaten corpses, yet, but it gave her pause as to why. Walkers were known for the havoc they made, among other things. So why were there no bodies? River wondered and she glanced at the houses remembering thinking how small this place was. Ya well that was before 1000 flesh starving maniacs started crawling out of the woodwork. She thought and she turned the corner to be face to face with the corpse of what looked to be adult but she couldn’t make out any features. She squeaked before she silenced her scream and she closed her eyes as she side stepped the bloody mess. This would be easier If they were killed another way. God… This is so wrong. She thought and she opened her eyes moving past the body that was on a park bench. Probably was just enjoying the day and got the shock of their life. Shuddering River couldn’t help but glance back once more. The shirt was ripped to shreds and their stomach had spilled out, lapped up by what looked like a mess of Walkers by the bloody foot prints. Why did I have to look??? River thought and grimaced before she broke into a mild jog. ღℂℴ₥ℬÅ〒 ￡°ℊ

[Encounter roll]
As the food entered the dinner. It was quiet there had been some confrontations in here. Tables and chairs tipped over. Bloody hand prints sliding down the wall towards the kitchen. The room seemed empty till the large food enter from the kitchen. A few undead were on the floor ripped to pieces, perhaps a survivor managed to fend them off....possibly a cook. Yet The further the food entered, the cleaver marks started to turn to bite marks. Then from the kitchen multiple pots and pans clanged and dropped to the floor and a huge fat walker stood at the kitchen door. Cleavers in each hand a bloody white apron, the left side of its face looked to of been peeled off removing the left eye lid. Its pupils glowed a eerie green and it snarled saliva and blood pouring from its mouth and it saw its next snack. It would rush at the large snack, trying to grab it cleavers still in hand, and bite a chunk out its massive neck

Tina Spruse had been a housewife before she killed and ate her sister now all she thought about was to enjoy the sweet taste of flesh once more. The others like her were not in good taste, though she had tried… she wanted something more sweet, more fresh. Clutching her crochet needles still she was looking for something to eat. She saw a meal hurrying over to her, as if she had ordered delivery. That was when she saw her traitorous neighbor, Roland, who should have died right in the beginning. He too had also spotted the light snack. It would be a race for the food as both stumbled towards the entrée.

╚═════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ Giglamesh entered the room, he saw other bides that had been chopped up, at first he believed it to be a survivor. But as he got further in to the restaurant he would begin to see the chopped bodies bitten, then then no longer chopped just eaten corpses. A few of the corpses seemed to still live threw the infection and the move there limbless bodies around and moaned slightly in pain. Then giglamesh head pots fall in the kitchen only to turn to see a huge fat walker standing in the kitchen door way. As it began to rush giglamesh would back up trying to get a steady shot on its forehead. But as he backed in to a tipped over table he was cornered. He would shift duck down as using his incredible speed as if time stopped for a moment he would maneuver under the large zombies arms to its right side getting several feet from it. Yet the motion would only appear as a blur of white.
[Death blow] With significant range he would lower his arm to shoot his three round burst spread out along its knees. Causing it to fall to its knees he would then make his move and run in jumping putting his left leg on the zombies right should jumping over it, then kicking at the back of the head and neck as he passed over. The kick would push him threw the air as he turned his body and with rifle only in his right hand he looked down the scope at the back of its head and pulled the trigger. The first bullet guaranteed death hitting right at medulla oblongata, thus removing any motor function. The bullet continued to rip threw the brain and came out the forehead leaving the upper half of face to explode outwards from the force. The second and third bullet intensified the damage pretty much exploding the skull from the bottom jaw up. Giglamesh would land and roll back once to a crouching position on his feet, the lifeless corpse would fall to the ground lifeless once again, the body and tongue convulsing as the brain sustained so much damage so rapidly.

The next thing she knew two Walkers were running at her with regular household belongings that could be turned into weapons if used right. These were once regular people, with regular lives. It didn’t seem fair to kill them, but it was a her or them moment so she pretended those “weapons” were deadly and she spun her gun blades in her hands. The twin gin blades now moved fluidly after so many hours practicing with them, River felt as if they were a part of her now. Not wanting to get close to the walkers, she simply fired 9 rounds from each gun knowing she brought plenty of ammo she didn’t chance them getting close to her. Her aim was true, though she waisted ammo she succeeded in killing those Walkers, almost every bullet hit their mark spraying cold blood all over the street. «{headshots!} xD

[Travel post]
Giglamesh had a gloat momment after his victory...but it was very short lived. The dead began to pound against the restaurants windows, Gig began to look around, he head pots being kicked around as they entered from the kitchen. They busted threw the glass and fell face first inside as they fell over the window edge trying to get it. It was filling up fast and he had to get out. Giglamesh flipped the switch changing the xm-29 from rifle, to grenade and he rushed the door. He fired a single grenade blasting the door and two zombies behind it to pieces, then ran out threw the open door. back on the main street there were many around so t clear some room giglamesh just began firing a fast arc from his left side to his right. The goal was not to kill simply push them back, after he fired he looked and ran to the left then turned back down another alley as he got a ways in however two more cut off his path. Giglamesh paused and thought, then as he looked around he went threw a open door to a apartment building. He ran down a short hall firing a three round burst at a zombie at the far end of the hallway. It was not dead but it did fall on its back, which giglamesh as he ran would stomp on its head. But then he saw three zombies feeding on something the was eviscerated, ripped to pieces it was so mangled it was no longer possible to tell what it was from sight.
However the three zombies around it were distracted by it and unaware of gig. He took that opportunity and looked around then headed up stairs. Then he turned and fired another grenade in to the center of the treee zombies just for the ******** of it, and continued upstairs. Then a male zombie emerged at the top of the stairs as he ran up them. Giglamesh would just use he massive speed to rush the zombie and literally hit it with a jumping rifle but. The speed and power used had such force to smash its bottom jaw in to pieces taking its off its feet and throwing it up and back where it crashed against a apartment door knocking it down. Giglamesh paused at the top of the stairs to think, as he did he looked around. He could not go back cause the shadows of multiple zombies could be seen approaching the stairs, from the fire created from the grenade. He was on the top floor so he could not go any higher, and multiple zombies were starting to get up that were around in the apt, he had to think fast. As he looked threw the door he knocked down he saw a window.....sold! He would run over the zombie with the smashed jaw and fire another grenade right before he reached the window. The explosion would be seen from outside glimmering with shards of glass smoke, and giglamesh as he leaped out of the window. across the street aiming for the building's roof across the street. How ever he misjudged the jump and instead came crashing threw a window, he would tuck and roll on to he feet gun drawn ready to shoot.

ღHolstering her gun blades River leaves the bloody scene muttering a small apology in the air. She paused a moment to look around and she turned right. She paused and left the road. She believed that this would lead to the next road, to get closer to the center of the town. She walked past a few images hidden in the fog and she thought she saw movement again. Nope… Thinking about something else. River thought and blindly went through the fog. She saw another shadow through the fog and she passed a dome like jungle gym. …. ♫Black paper moon…♪ She thought forcing herself to not think of where she was. A bell suddenly rang and River jumped almost a foot in the air. She stood a moment panting as she held a hand over her heard. ”Stupid bell!” She yelled then sighed before she kept going forward. She reached the entrance of the school, and realized the bell had been pre programmed to go off at certain times. Rather fumbling through the fog, she thought it might be easier going through the school. Provided I don’t bump into children Walkers… River thought and she sighed opening the door. ღℂℴ₥ℬÅ〒 ￡°ℊ

[Encounter roll] A single zombie just stood there as the food entered the window. Yet it did not rush it stood there just looking, for a moment. Till it let out a fierce roar three dark green tendrils whipping about when it did. It body began to bulged and twist in odd ways It threw its right arm out It arm began to fiercely lash around With the sounds of its own bones breaking as it did. It seemed to be in massive pain even though it was dead. Multiple parts of its body bulged and bleed as if something was under the surface ripping threw its muscles. Finally the right side began to swell tremendously until it exploded With dark green growth and tendrils lashing about forming something different. Like roots these green tendrils wrapped the corpses limbs. The right arm was now only skin dangling from its chest, it now appeared like a large hunch back with a large green growth where its shoulder and right side of back where. Then suddenly a large tendril ripped out from the massive growth with multiple bone fragments, which almost appeard like claws. The beast hardly looked human any more, the only remains of the original persons head was in the beasts chest slowly getting devoured by the monstrosity.
