I've never had much success in running a guild...on Gaia. In my MMO, my sister and I run one that's small, but doing well. My strategy there is to advertise and never stop, my sister is a people magnet. A little of column A and B works wonders, even if it's slow going.

I'm guessing the word hasn't been spread far enough. Open a thread in the guild forum if you haven't already, that may help. The banners could do well also, but will only get people who see them often (this is all speculation, BTW.) Attaching banners to signatures that people see often, all over the place, is an ideal situation, however FINDING someone like that is the hard part. You'd need someone with a lot of 'pull' on a main forum (the fact that we have a mod among us helps hahah), someone people tend to follow. Like a nice, pro-Semitic Hitler.

Again, these are words I pulled out of my butt...common sense stuff. Thinking is the easy part of this process.

Forgot to add: I want to keep the banner low-key because I like my sig to be succinct, like my posts. I don't do the fancy crap in my posts and there's a lot of post styles and sigs out there that really grind my gears. Just a personal preference.

I've only got one banner made, because no one else bothered to read some of the threads in here asking for banners to be made.

This is all I have now, if you can are able to cut it down to the size you need, then please do so.

I don't know anything about art at all, so I wouldn't know how to make my own banner. Hence why I pay people to do it for me.

Heck, one mistake in School, and now I'm a dumb s**t. I could have taken up Art classes, but nope not me.

Eh, school mostly teaches you how to learn instead of what to learn. You can learn outside of school, or in, it doesn't matter. My sister is going to a culinary arts school instead of college, and she's going to learn there.

If you have mspaint, you can whip something up and add html to it to put it in your sig. There was this neat html site I used when I was a kid that has the basic boiled down in an easy to digest, bland html-paste (harhar), I think it was lissaexplains.com
(I used it for neopets...mmyep.) They have sections on pretty much everything you'd want to know about setting up a linked image, except the art part. But again, mspaint, or if you're feeling adventurous, theres a free psudeo-photoshop program called GIMP you can download. I don't know how to use it much, personally, I deleted all my art programs except mspaint for computer space. If you have the time and the patience, things will work out in terms of banners.
