Sheryl sighed heavily twitching as she felt a summons, Ranka meeting her gaze as she turned to look to them. "You guys go on ahead, I'll be back later. Ranka, why don't you two teleport there. Don't take a noisy route ok?" She gave a faint smile, a piercingly bright light suddenly flashing and she was gone. Ranka lowered her eyes once Sheryl had vanished, taking Seiji's hand. "Don't let go." She murmured, holding out her free one to bring it down. It was like she cut a hole, blackness the only thing that was visibly beyond this tear in reality. Walking into it, she gripped his hand a bit tighter, the cold starting to hit them.
Once they entered, it didn't get brighter, and it was dead silent. You couldn't even hear their footsteps or their breathing. There was nothing. He would probably feel a tugging on his soul and life, a voice whispering in his head to lay down and sleep the eternal sleep. Waving her free hand, she banished the voice, glancing back to him. Lowering her eyes, a spirit floated by them without a word, eyes staring dead ahead to whatever destination it was going towards.
They soon popped out in the cafeteria right where they had been, but now it was loud. Everyone was talking at once because of the explosion they had all heard, the two teachers calming them all down as best they could. Shutting the portal, the loudness after the true silence they had just been through was almost painful. She noticed how warm her hand felt, letting go of his to look at it. Hers would have felt cold, akin to that of a corpse. She closed her fingers over her palm to rub, not used to the sensation.

Seiji watched Sheryl for a moment, she seemed in thought about something. Or maybe she had been called upon. Either way, Seiji let his gaze drift to Ranka as she took hold of his hand. Hers was rather cold, as much as one might expect from her pale skin. Though from the bit of excitement they had just gone through the touch of her hand was rather soothing. He enjoyed it, and despite the reason she had taken hold of his hand, it seemed like a very human thing to do. Seiji nodded, smiling again as she instructed him.
As Ranka opened up her rift, Seiji glanced to her for a moment and than back to the strange portal. This one was much different than Sheryl's had been. But what should it be the same? After all, each sister had control over a completely different realm. As they stepped through into the rift, Seiji's eyes couldn't help but wander. It was eeriely quiet. Devoid of any sound that Seiji could hear. In fact, his own breathing was almost inaudible. Feeling Ranka's hand squeeze tighter, his eyes lowered, looking to their linked hands and then to Ranka. Even if she didn't show it, she did seem to have emotions. Seiji could tell by the way she pulled hiim along. When the spirit drfted by, Seiji watched it for a moment, a thought crossing his mind. This place, was it the realm of the dead, or a passage way that the dead carried on through? He had to wonder, would he visit such a place when he passed away?
As they travelled through the area, Seiji almost forgot their destination, until Ranka led them through into the cafeteria. His eyes looked about, it seemed even more crowded than when they had left. The noise was so loud, Seiji had to focus for a moment to settle it. The roar of the chatter quickly becoming a dull background noise as he turned his attention to his silent guide. When she released his hand, Seiji watched her reaction, and smiled yet again. "Is it an odd feeling to you? The warmth of another person's hand?" he imagined in their line of work Ranka came into contact with more of the dead rather than the living. Seiji extended his hand to Ranka as she observed her own. "I guess my own skin is probably a bit warmer too...all my Kei running through me. Would you like to hold my hand a little longer?" He wasn't sure why he offered such a thing. It just seemed like something to do at that moment. At the very least, it might give Ranka something to think about while Sheryl was away.

Soon all the sound had dissipated, homeostasis being restored as she adjusted to the sound. Blinking, she looked down to her hand again and nodded once. "I don't run the same way you and Sheryl do." She answered simply and it was the truth. She was..... different. She almost seemed puzzled as he held out his hand, then really appearing confused when she felt a warmth in her cheeks. With her other hand she touched them, not understanding the sensation. Was she blushing? Why was she blushing?
Raising her eyes back up to him, she banished away such confusion, and nodded once again. "Alright." It wasn't like she had a basis formed to know what other peoples hands felt like, but his had been warm. She took his hand, her hand almost seeming to tingle with how the warmth spread. "You aren't... bothered by how cold I am?" She asked softly, feeling a twinge of pain under her eye-patch. Her seal was burning. Sheryl was being punished harshly. Her expression remained neutral, only tilting her head slightly after her question was asked.

That made enough sense to Seiji. After all, Ranka governed over death, not life. Then again, he was sure that his own body worked at least slightly differently than a normal human's. His Kei was at a constant flow, always growing and storing itself, building up unless he made use of it. It was almost like his body had no true metabolism. A normal human's body would make use of an excess energy. Burned away by the body's needs. His body still did those functions, but the Kei formed so rapidly it didn't really make a difference.
Seiji couldn't help by smile. Not that there was anything wrong with that. But seeing the colour flush her pale cheeks made Ranka seem all that much more human. Even if she didn't understand it, Seiji didn't mind. The experience in and of itself meant gradually, she was learning things, feeling things. He couldn't help but feel a little pride in that. He was Ranka learn something new.
When she did take his hand, Seiji felt the coolness of her skin wash over him. It was certainly an experience he hadn't felt often. Not from someone's skin before. When Ranka posed the question to him, Seiji simply shook his head. He didn't mind the feeling. In such a crowded area, an interaction like this took his mind off of everything. Glancing to their hands, Seiji watched for a moment, running his thumb lightly across the top of Ranka's hand. "Not at all. I try to keep an open mind. I enjoy finding new experiences." He replied, glancing to Ranka's face.

Ranka took in the warmth from his skin, feeling it spread to her wrist a bit. She was concerned she was stealing too much heat from him, but well... he didn't seem to mind. At the sensation of his thumb running over her hand, she felt it again. That warmth in her cheeks. She must be blushing. But why? Why was she blushing? She didn't understand. She couldn't get fevers, not easily. So why?
Looking down to their hands, she didn't raise her eye till he spoke, the warmth in her cheeks now hot. To him, they would appear rosy with color, a sharp contrast to the pale white of her features. It was like she was a porcelain doll. She couldn't think of words, and instead found herself lowering her gaze again, the warmth spreading to more of her body. Mainly her chest. She didn't understand. What was happening?

Considering her earlier reaction, Seiji was assuming this to be a new experience for her as well. Asides from her sister, he had noticed that not too many of the students seemed to take much interest in the twins. Or rather, they would prefer to stare from afar than getting close and learning. Which was a shame really, both of the sisters were great people. Apperances were nothing to judge a person by.
Watching her face fill with colour, Seiji stopped his thumb, wondering if he might be doing a little more than he should. Ranka was always so quiet and calculating. Yet this action seemed to fill her with more colour than he'd ever seen in her. Was she embaressed? Or maybe just unsure, her flushed face seemed to suggest so. Maybe it was simply the warmth from his own hands.
"Are you alright?" Seiji asked quietly, his eyes still upon her face. Having such a new experience, he had to ask himself what Ranka must be feeling right now. Her lack of words made her seem suddenly shy. But was that possible for her? Only one way to find out. "Is there anything on your mind....any questions?"

Ranka seemed to pause, blinking as she raised her eye to look at him. When he asked her how she was, she couldn't answer, for once at a loss of what to say. The Elder's had sort of shirked on explaining things to her since.... She lowered her gaze again. Was she honestly capable of feeling things?
"I...." Taking a deep breath, she raised her eye back up to him, the color starting to fade a little bit. "I feel warm. I don't understand why." She pointed to her chest, tilting her head slightly. "There. Besides my cheeks and your hand. Why? I don't understand why. The Elder's educated Sheryl more upon emotions than me. They decided I wouldn't need it." She asked, her voice level per usual.

Emotions. Just because she didn't show much in the way of expression didn't mean she didn't have them. Seiji thought on this for a moment, before trying to figure out how to explain it to Ranka. To anyone else, emotions were a natural thing. Something they lived with every moment of their life. To Ranka, emotions would likely be less useful. From the things she would have to do, being emotionless would better suit her. Still, she was her own being, she should be able to choose that for herself.
Seiji took in a breath, exhaling slowly as his eyes rose to meet with hers. "Well..I guess anything I might say is probably going to sound strange to you. If they never taught you anything about emotions...than I guess it's up to me. And well...Sheryl too. Uhmm.." Seiji trailed off, wondering where to begin. The topic of emotions was such a strange thing to discuss. If Seiji didn't say things just right, he could easily confuse her.
"The warmth you're feeling...uhm." Seiji paused yet again still trying to find the proper words. "Maybe.. happiness?" In all honesty, Seiji couldn't be sure. From how she described it, it could have been a number of emotions. But he wasn't an empath, he would simply have to guess and hope he was right. "When something, or even someone, that you like is with you, you can feel happiness. Being with friends, or doing something you enjoy. It's not unusually to feel it. People strive to be happy. It makes living easier for them." Seiji smiled, hoping he was explaining things in a manner that she could understand.

Ranka blinked twice as he took a breath before explaining, listening to him before nodding once. "Only if you don't mind answering my questions." She murmured, the disturbances of school now lost to her.
Happiness? She almost stated one definition of happiness, and was about to point out there were too many, he explained further. So she remained silent. Like? Well, happiness did make a bit more sense now. "Like? How do you know if you like a person? I have been taught there are apparently different types of 'like.' What is the difference?" She asked, pausing as she briefly lowered her eyes. "Forgive me, I must be asking a lot of questions." She seemed to bow her head in an apologetic matter, her eye remaining lowered. "Happiness.... it is a possibility." She murmured, more to herself than him.

"Hmm.." Seiji stayed silent as he thought a moment more. That was a good point. Although, he had to remind himself that liking in this manner would be referring to himself. Her hinting at the different meanings of like meant she had at least a basic idea. Which was good, he wouldn't have to explain absolutely everything.
"Well, even if you've never really thought about I'm sure you've felt emotions of some sort. For example..when you and Sheryl are together. I'm sure you're glad to be with her. Better than being alone or surrounded by people you don't know. Right? In that example, being with Sheryl might make you happy. You like being with your sister. As for the other case of 'liking someone'..."
Seiji had to think yet again. Was Ranka able to comprehend the second meaning of liking someone? Being attracted to a person could also have multiple meanings as well. This might be a bit more difficult than explaining happiness. He'd simply have to hope he didn't end up confusing her. "It's a bit harder to explain. To put it simply, when you like someone you enjoy being around that person. In some cases it's simply enjoying that person's friendship. In other cases, well, it develops into something more than that. Does that help at all?"

Elly sighed. They just didn't understand things at all, she was only trying to protect them. "Then what happens if you loose control out here and end up being the cause of a friend getting hurt or dying? If being around other people is bad, then go with Tristan or someone who can sooth your powers, other wise its no-" but before she could finish, there was another explosion from where Atlas was, and this time, something came flying out of it. Atlas had to be right behind for another, more redish blur followed the almost black one. they raced through the air as though they were trying to race each other, rather than attack. Suddenly, they came close to the ground, swiping past the mermaids and the teachers, battling out. There were electric sparks coming from the redish blur while orbs of black were being cast at it. They didn't explode and were ungulfed by something the redish blur did.
It was then that the black blur just disappeared, leaving and hovering Atlas. Then, with a jolt, Atlas was pounded to the ground, a sneak attack fromt he black blur that had to have hit him from above. Elly gasped at what happened and immediately ran for him, despite what Zooger was telling her. She dashed to where they were, an electric explosion occuring and she had to shield herself only to find that it didn't work. She was blown away, some grazes on her arms that started to disappear as she moved. In the dust and dibre that came from it, a figure started to walk towards her. She smiled, thinking it was Atlas, but when the smoke cleared a bit, it wasn't him, but a stranger.
She lit her hands with light and looked at the man. "Wh....who are you? What did you do to Atlas?" she asked on the offense, knowing that if Atlas didn't get up right away, then this person knew something on how to attack him and leave at least a mark."Oh come now, who said I did anything to him? he's just taking a little rest, he works so hard you know. And of course you know all about hiim, right? I mean he is your beloved headmaster and he's like family to you, right Elly? Oh but how rude of me! You couldn't possibly know who I am!" the man said, walking up to Elly. He had white gloves on his hands and was tankering with them a bit, pulling on the bottoms and finger tips. As he asked the last part, he laughed, one that sounded very evil, as though he were up to something. That was when Elly's eyes were wide and she knew exactly who it was. I look of total disgust and hatred flooded her face and she lit her hands up even more and flashed to the figure, using her might to clash the light together at him. Surprisingly, the figure only laughed more and grabbed her hands, the light not effecting him at all. tears welled up in her eyes and she looked at the scum who held her hands. "YOUR THE SCUM WHO KILLED MY BROTHER AREN'T YOU?!?!?!" she screamed, the light in her hands starting to grow more with her anger, hoping to burn his darkness off.

Ranka blinked at that. "I...." She had to stop to think about that. Did she feel anything while she was with Sheryl? It was then that it was like she hit a wall. She never thought about how she felt with Sheryl. They were created together. They had always been put together. Had she ever felt something related to them? She had never really had a problem with being alone either.
It was fine that he had paused to think, she was lost in the block that was how she felt about Sheryl. Blinking, she shook her head and snapped out of it, listening to how he tried to explain the other definition of like. She was silent for a couple of moments, processing what he had said. "It grows. Yes, that does help. Thank you Seiji." She murmured, her mind slipping back into figuring out her relations with people now or at least how she felt. "I... If I understand correctly then, I like you. I'm not sure how I feel about Sheryl. We're fine when we are apart with each other. We were not born together as human twins may be. We were made. Perhaps there is a bond lost due to that, a bond others may share." She concluded after a couple of moments thought, raising her eye to look at him.

Was that right? He was pretty sure that was right. Seiji had done his best to explain to her. Hopefully that was enough to let her understand for the moment. Explaining emotions was something he had never done before. So at the very least, Seiji hoped he wouldn't lead her astray with his words. Though he smiled when she thanked him.
"Glad to be of any help." He nodded cheerfully. Though, on the topic of the twins, he was sure there was some sort of connection. Whether Ranka realized it or not. Made or born, sisters usually had a bond. Seiji wouldn't say anything on that matter. Better to let Ranka ponder that thought herself. He didn't want to lead her into too much. One step at a time.
"I like you too Ranka." He replied, his smile widening a little. " Uhm..as for the other half, I'm sure that's something you'll figured out in time. Maybe have a talk with Sheryl over that matter? Either way, I'm glad I could help a little. If you've got any other questions I'd be glad to try and answer."

Vira blinked as Jareth suddenly rode up, her golden eyes following him for a moment. Though she was antsy... so antsy...... Hearing what he said, she smiled, a little surprised to hear him praise her so. True, she was still going to be beneath him, but he still had praised her.
The feeling didn't last long, her brows furrowing. "Here, I can escape faster from attacking someone." She stopped and almost froze once she said the word 'dying.' "I WOULD NOT KILL THEM!!" She shouted, honestly really pissed to hear that. A strong wind whipped around them, the ice dome she made over the mermaids crackling a little as it spiked outward, avoiding hurting the mermaids. "Elly, you aren't listening. He can't soothe them! No one can!" But her words were lost upon deaf ears, looking up at the explosion.
Watching, Vira narrowed her eyes, tensing up as she held out her hands, her two swords reforming as the sprites on her shoulders flew into range of them. Gripping the handles, she watched for the moment, blinking at the fact Atlas had gone down. Joy. The bubbly exterior was now gone, the street smart girl coming through.
Once he gripped Elly, she gritted her teeth, resisting the urge to leap forward. If this guy could take down Atlas, what hope did they hold? Focusing on the water in the ground, she made it seem as if she were fixing her grip on it and tilted it up a bit. Water suddenly rose up around his ankles and froze in a thick sheet, an added wind sucking his feet downward so it would be harder for him to lift them or move.

Ranka felt that warmth in her chest again. Happiness. That equated to happiness. Well, now the Elder's were proved wrong, she could feel emotions. For so long they figured she had no point in knowing about them. Yet why did they send her here if that were the case? More questions... and questions he couldn't answer.
Blinking once, she ended up nodding, so slow it could have been mistaken for a bow of the head. Well... she'd have to wait for Sheryl to heal first once she got back... "When I have more questions, I shall turn to you then. Sheryl doesn't explain things well." She murmured, almost seeming to grimace a little as she knew what the Elders would do. Not pleasant things. None at all.
