Jaden finished tying the cloth around his arm, which slowed the flow of blood some, but didn't stop it completly as the white cloth slowly turned to a red tint. It'l have to do for now... He thought as he was about to toss a knife at the Judge before they where completely enclosed by darkness. "Besides this cut, I'm fine!" He replied to Rikku, and moved closer to where her voice was. Pulling out a throwing knife, he closed his eyes, and listened, trying to hear the judge, and determine his location.

((K, sorry))

"Yeah Rikku, I'm fin-" A jolt of pain shot through his entire body and his hand let go of of the ceiling and he fell, though he had no idea if it was down or up. He landed on the ground, or was it ceiling, unconcious. His body twitching and taking in increadably shaky breathes. Somthing was happening too him inside his mind and body.

((Ack, sorry for not posting earlier; homework got all up in my business yesterday. gonk

Haha, subtle indeed. xd Let's see how this is gonna go.
Ack, long post.))

Things were getting bad fairly quickly; as he fired a much stronger ball of darkness at the shield, the speed of it took out her footing, and the ball of darkness blew up onto the shield, but the shield disappeared out of the power and she fell to the ground momentarily.

As she got back up slowly, she noticed that the boy who was fighting to begin with had gotten in a good punch, but it didn't do much to a magic major. What is he doing? Physical attacks aren't going to work against a demon.....though I can sense some sort of presence in the boy, something dark as well, but I cant' pinpoint it. she thought at she started to move back towards the group. The judge suddenly melted into the ground. Coward, he's gonna hi- but before she could finish the thought, the room became pitch dark, and she could see nothing.

A moment later, shouting occurred as a small light lit up; the celestrial was trying to light up the room, but without light it wasn't going to last. She heard shouting but she had been thrown back fairly far, so she couldn't fully hear it. "Don't use up yoru energy, miss; gimme a sec!" she called, and turned to the staff. It was a bit worn looking, but it had like most healer staffs, an orb in the middle. Murmuring a spell and rubbing the orb, a right light suddenly sprouted as it glowed brightly. She could see a bit ahead of her now, but with such dark magic she was still limited in light sight, but it'll hold for now.

She ran to the first person she could catch, the solar energy user, and could hear them now. The girl had been trying to feel her way around, and as she got next to her Melody grasped her hand in reassurance. "I'm alright, just got thrown back a bit. Be very careful when wandering in here without a strong light though; it is alot like dark magic to set up traps for those stumbling in the dark, usually by default." She added in a sudden thought, and moved the light a few feet in front of them. Sure enough, there were spikes randomly poking out on several parts of the ground.

"There usually poison tipped as well for instant death; yep, that light sliver stuff there. Looks like Ragglewood poison; that stuff can kill quick and burns like hellfire (looks like he has a sense of irony). Traps like these were usually a quick way to kill soldiers in an army, at least that was where it originated....usually it's wood or something simple though, not spikes....impressive."

As the stranger mentioned white magic, for the first time in the fight, the corners turned up on her mouth slightly. "It's not grand compared to this judge; he's obviously been trained in this art of dark magic and it's the most powerful I've seen, but I'll see what I can do." She pulled out a mana potion (several could be seen in her bag up close, and took large gulp.

"I"m guessing to the east; the traps usually thin when you get close, but we need to regroup first. This way!" she called, taking the girl's hand again as she held her staff up infront of her as a guide. "NONE OF YOU MOVE! There's traps on the floor and they DO kill." she finally ran into another one, probably one of the ones the solar girl was shouting to earlier. If her math was right there was one more missing.

Noticing the cut on his arm, she took it without question and placed her hand and murmured another enchantment; as she did so she could feel the cut clean itself and heal up. But before she could say something else, she heard another voice get cut off.

"Drat, we're running out of time; I"m guessing your other companion has some sort of demon; if that thing gets control of your friend, that could be an issue. Um....luring, luring...." she took out what looked to be a hand me down book and began to flip through it quickly, biting her lip as she seemed to be looking for a specific page. Finding one near the middle of the book, she ran her hand down the page and seemed to find what she was looking for. It was fairly new looking page compared to alot of the gook, and a bloodred sidenote in white mage language was next to anything in the next three pages; most likely the ones she'll be using.

That's a tough spell....oh dear, all of these attacks are.....it's usually only reserved for scholars, espeically with a guy like this judge, but...I've got no choice.

"OK, this shouldn't be too hard." she said to reassure herself as she closed the book quickly and stuffed it back in her bag. She moved froward a bit to give herself room, drank the rest of the large potion, and began to murmur the enchantment as she hoped this staff would corporate.

She stuck it to the ground, and like a large pencil began to write into the ground, the light being her ink, her hands moving quickly. It began in inconsistent spurts, warning her that this was a bad idea all around. But she continued the writing around her as she stood in the middle of eventually what seemed to be some sort of intricate summoning circle. The easy part was done, and she shouted the final word of the enchantment.

Her body did something new to her in magic; symbols began to glow on her body, intricate yellow glowing, and a hole to some sort of realm seemed to open above them, too bright to tell. She barely had time to notice the glows on her before she felt the full weight of power as she had opened the summoning realm (was it always this strong?!). To her it seemed like forever of holding a giant planet on her back, as something let out a large "caw" like sound from the portal.

It looked to be some sort of large glowing phoenix, and as the portal closed, some of the weight was let off and she looked up, drenched in some sweat as it landed next to her and looked down on her, though it's expression was hard to read. It was so beautiful....

Talking in her spell tongue, she pointed to the ground and told the bird "Bring back The Judge." With a nod, it took off again, and Melody groaned slightly as it morphed underground, but as soon as it went under the pressure fully went off. She flopped onto the ground, shocked and rather drained, but suddenly excited.

"OK...now....we play the waiting game." she breathed as she grabbed another bottle and drained it entirely before it would return, and looked at her arms in almost amazement for a moment. As long as it's in that other realm, looks like I don't have to use my magic to keep it going. wow...the glows are still there...

((WOW that was a long post lol))

"Amazing!" Rikku said as she healed Jaden's arm. "I have never seen a white mage in action!"

The Judge

The Judge was still trying to strengthen the demon and poison Dimitri's mind, when something with talons grabbed him and ripped him from his hiding spot, he looked back and saw a phoenix, wide eyed he gasped, the phoenix let him go and he fell to the ground, weak from the amount of mana it took to summon that much darkness, plant poison, alter their surroundings, and speak the demon language telekinetically, to a demon... while using extra magic to make sure that Dimitri couldn't hear it. He was on his hands and knees coughing up blood a little bit, before he smiled a wicked smile, and began to try charging his Mana.

Rikku

"Dimitri!" She yelled seeing him writhing on the floor before running over to him. "Jaden!, Other Girl.... can you finish off the judge? in his current state you two should be able to finish him!" She said running over to Dimitri and kneeling by him trying to wake him up. "Dimitri!, Dimitri!" She called, shaking him by the shoulder's a little bit, trying to wake him up and get him out of whatever was going on.

Jaden watched as the cut healed itself as the girl healed his wound. It felt perfect, as if nothing had happened at all. He did loose a good amount of blood before it was healed, but wasn't too much to prevent him from staying conscious. "Thank you."

Grabbing six of the knives, he watched the judge for a moment, three knives in each hand. Looking at the traps, he studied them, making a pathway past them to get to the judge. There where openings in them that he could use, and he could possibly try to push the judge into one of them as well. "No problem, hes weak now, theres no way he can survive much longer."

The dirt under his foot slid out from underneath as he started to run tossing a knife. Jumping off to the side, avoiding one of the traps, he tossed another knife at he closed in on the judge. Jumping over one of them, he tossed two more as he landed, then finished off the knives as he came near him.

"Smile all you want, you will be the one to fall!" Jaden shouted at the judge, as he closed in on him, punching the judges face with all his might, then flipped over the judge, and flicked his wrist as the hidden blade showed itself, and aimed what would possibly be a killing blow to the judges neck.

((... If only I waited a few minutes. I could have done something... >.< ))

Dimitri rolled over abit revealing some sort of orage glowing summoning circle. Dimitri's demon hand was sunk in and moved around as if searching for something It stopped finding what it had been looking for. Dimitri rolled away abit his hand still sunk down. Dimitri got onto a knee and slowly started standing and started pulling his hand out until his hand was able too be seen. He was grasping a sword handle he stood and pulled the rest of the jet black blade out. it was nearly as tall as Dimitri, capable of cleaving a man in two in a single swing, and probally anything else that got in it's way. Dimitri's head looked down at the ground. Slowly his human hand went up to his face and grabbed his eyepatch and yanked it off and dropped it too the ground. Slowly he looked up. The eye socket that was normally covered wasn't empty. a firey red eye with a orange center looked at Rikku. slowly a grin spread across Dimitri's face and he raised the sword and readied a strike at Rikku. The Judges efforts were being rewarded.

Evening (whatever day we are on... I forgot i think 7)

"Dimitri?" She asked looking at him take an offensive stance before her... "Jaden, Grab taht girl and get her out of here!"

The Judge

The Judge took every hit, including the final blow to the neck, as he was hit, he didn't do anything but laugh, as he bled out on the bizarre's stony floorl. "Our mission will be a success.... both land and water.... and their wars will all cease to exist once the gate is opened.............." He said disturbingly as he faded away. "Long life the dark raven clan... long live... lord minos"

Rikku

Rikku looked at that tortured eye that had been unmasked, "who are you, and what have you done with dimitri." She demanded

Jaden stared at the judge as he fell. "What is he talking about?" He wondered as he turned to Rikku, and saw Dimitri raise a sword above his head aimed at Rikku. "I won't leave you alone, while your in danger!" reaching for a knife, he grasped at nothing. He was to far away to reach them if Dimitri, or whoever it was now, decided to strike Rikku. He had to do something, he couldn't let Rikku get killed, and started to run towards them.

"Supid mortal, I would have butchered him anyway" The demon growled and shouldered the blade, a aura of viloence and madness radiated from the blade. the evil eye looking at the judges corpse. He knew the judge would get exactally what he deserved down below. The eye turned too Rikku. "My name does not matter, all that you should be concerned with" He pointed the blade at Rikku. "Is what will happen after you die" He said and took two steps and swung the blade down, an excutioners swing.

Melody was glad taht another person decided to finish off the judge; when the bird had reappeared with him (it was more powerful than she thought; he appeared to be gasping and sputtering for breath), the mana and pressure she had to use to keep it from going nuts in the normal realm used up any concentration and strength she could use.

Finally sending the phoenix back up into it's own realm, she got up and went over to the body of the judge, when she realized she had clutched her brother's charm the entire time; a painted native nut in intricate colors and patterns, it acted as a lock for something for it would rattle but it'd never open for whatever reason. She used to believe it was luck hidden in it, but seeing as it didn't help Travis....

Moving down and looking through his clothing, she looked for any sort of valuable information or items. Finally finding a couple pieces of paper with something on them and what looked to be a crystal of some sort, she didn't get more than a glance as she heard trouble brewing again. Stuffing them in her bag, she ran over to see what was wrong with their party member.

It appears that the demon inside the boy had been awakened, so she had not been quick enough. Doing the first thing that came to mind, she murmured a spell and swung teh staff in his direction. Strings shot forth from the staff and circled around the demon and tying together, hopefully keeping him bound for a few minutes.

She bit her lip; she might have to perform an excrosism, but those were dangerous, even with the situation known, which she knew not of. Either excrosism or locking involved actually diving into the mind of this man, which would leave her physically vulnerable as well as a chance of her getting locked into his mind, or his crushing. Again, it was another scholar-only move, but seeing as there wasn't one here, she'd have to take the place if need be.

"Before this breaks, any vital information on this guy I need to know? Do we need this demon locked back or removed? Either one is fairly risky, but if he's already fighting, we might not have alot of choice."

Rikku

As he swung down towards her, she whispered beneath her breath and turned into a ray of light and moved further away from him. She knew Melody's strings of light would only last a couple of seconds at best "Jaden, take her and go get Alexander, he is the only one that might have any idea of what we should do right now, and melody if you could heal Killian and bring him too that would be good, because if all else fails we can seal him... but it will take alot of magic!" She said as her skin began to glow. "Trust me when I say I will be fine." She said smiling at him with a wink, "This is the best thing you can do right now, I can hold him off until you guys get back, but please hurry."

She stated as she turned her attention back to Dimitri's demon. "When I die, I will die knowing that I have done everything in my power to protect this world and the beauty within it." She said as an aura of light surrounded her. "You may be a high ranking demon, who can take on any human... but you should remember I am no ordinary human." She said calling on her spiritual powers, and the sacred power given to her by the great tree, as she floated up into the air, braced and ready to hold him off until they got back.

Jaden stopped his charge, and listened to Rikku. He never ran from a fight before, he didn't want to run, but if it would help the group, then he would. "Please be safe..." Running over to where the new girl was, he pulled her arm, trying to get her to start running. "Come one, lets go!" He tugged at her on more time before starting a run. "We will be back as soon as possible!" Going into a full blown sprint, he headed off to where the house was. Get Alexander, and get back... He ignored everything else that was going on around him, his mind on Rikku, hoping she would be fine.

((How far is the house from the Bazaar? My character can run pretty fast. If I know how far it is, I will know how many posts I should wait until my character can get there and back.))

Melody had not much of a clue who this Killian was, but part of her was gonna be glad to get out of there. But she nodded anyways as she made a break for it with whoever this other guy was, leaving the celestrial to deal with the demon.

Her running wasn't as good as usual, still feeling fairly drained despite the potions from summoning the phoneix. "So...if you don't mind me asking, what happened to this Killian fellow? Physical injury? Mental? Eat something poisonous?" she asked between pants; the skin on her had finally stopped glowing so she wanted to focus on the next person, as the job of a white mage goes.

"No too sure." Jaden continued running, but felt as if he had to slow down so that Melody could keep up. "I wasn't told anything about his condition, so you will probably have to ask the others." He looked about, he was only moving a small portion of his speed while keeping pace with her. "Climb on my back, I can carry you there much faster than we are running now. You sound exhausted, so the rest will be good for you." He wasn't fatigued, and his adrenaline was pumping. His strength should be able to keep his strength long enough to get to the house, and back.

((Ok, so it won't take too long for Jaden to get there then, but will take some time getting back as well.))
