Nyxa tried her best to remain straight-faced as Syrenrei sweet-talked her baby boy, coughing discreetly to fight the giggles. "Ahh, yes. He's probably the bravest Aerandir, I'll wager." Letting the crab go, she rubbed the crimson comb that crowned his handsome head. "Leave the little critter alone, now. You're my good little hunter, s'for sure."
Luc preened at all of the flattery, his feathers fluffing with pride. Maybe the white-haired woman wasn't so bad, after all. His guardian seemed to like her, that had to mean something, at least. With a shrill whistle, Luc was off again, lumbering down the beach at an easy lope.

"And you know that all the women love a brave man." She nods as she sits back on her heels, pausing to think a bit. Well, she didn't have an example of this from her sons seeing as one relied on intellect and the other on his charm... although Onuris was built.
Once Luc had dashed off she decided to sit down in the hand and enjoyed letting the sun dry all droplets of water off her. Glancing to Nyxa she raised a brow curiously. "How long have you lived in this paradise? I would kill to have this kind of weather at my cottage."

Nyxa watched Luc as he wandered down the beach, sitting down next to Syrenrei. "Ahh, let me think." Falling silent, she ticked off the weeks in her mind, "About two months, I think. It's been a little lonely, but blissful at the same time." With a smile she turned to Syrenrei, running her fingers through the soft sand, "Are you planning on acquiring an Aerandir, or are you merely here on vacation?"
Once Luc had gone far enough, he raced back. Coming to a screeching halt next to Nyxa, he promptly sat on his rump and began to groom himself, removing the sand from his feathers.

"Obtain an Aerandir... as in adopt one?" She stared at Nyxa again, this time in deep thought over this notion. Her sons were both grown, and she secretly yearned to some day raise a girl. True, she had always been a touch tomboy, but there was something about having a daughter that seemed desirable. Her tail twitched as she thought deeply.
"I don't know. I have not been approached about it." Her ear twitched a little and she reached over to help Luc get some sand off his feathers, although she was careful to avoid his beak. Beaks could take out eyes, after all.

Nyxa nodded, curious. "Adopt one, like the others and myself have done." She brushed the sand off of her hands and rose, chuckling softly at Luc and Syrenrei's mingling, surprised that Luc wasn't snapping at her. "I'm sure that if you haven't been approached yet, you will eventually. They're really quite spectacular critters, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for Luc and myself." She waved, "I've got to get up to the house and start dinner, if you're ever around, you're welcome to stop by. My door is always open." With a soft whistle, she patted her thigh to beckon Luc, reaching down to scoop him up in her hands. "It was great seeing you again, Syrenrei."

Once the woman had left to go make dinner Sy rose again, brushing off all the sand and she glanced around for a tree who's branch that wasn't too high that she'd wake with fright at the height. After walking around a little and weaving past reedy bushes, she came across one that seemed suitable enough. Purring a little at her discovery she climbed the tree with her nails and sprawled on a long branch to go to relax before she went home.
^________^ Oh yes, she could most definately move here.

Laying on the beach was a large lump of something, wrapped in what looked like sailcloth. From one corner of the bundle poked a hand, tanned and weathered.

Fae, ironically, had planned an evening walk with her little gryphon. She wanted to show Pueblo the wonders night had to offer and how the moon shimmered across the water like a silver shadow- she knew Pueblo would be estatic. Trodding in bare feet, shorts, and a rolled sleeved tee, the young girl's toes burried into the cool sand as Pueblo padded along her side.
Before long, Pueblo couldn't stand being on the ground anymore- there was just so much to see! Running through the sand (slipping along the way), she eventually slapped her wings against the ground and lifted herself into the night sky. Ah, the fresh air of the sea felt so good flowing through her feathers. Being carful not to exceed the height of her keeper, she dared to fly over the water. She wasn't a daring kind of Aerandir and didn't trust that liquidy stuff anyways. So above the sands suited her well and enjoyed this nightly troll.
Continuing her path alongside Fae, something gleaming caught the corner of her eye. Sharp vision quickly traced over a large lump in the sand, she could easily pick out between what was sand, and what was...something else? She hooted softly, alerting her keeper as her wide wingspand floated her back to the ground. A foot away from the object, she cocked her head at a familiar human part. Pueblo looked behind her and stared at Fae, her stalk white face looking ghostly at night.
Fae smiled and sighed as she watched Pueblo fly about. But as soon as she landed, she wondered why. There wasn't any reason Fae could analyze why the content air-born Aerandir would suddenly stop in one certain spot. Once she got closer, it was clear that her eye sight wasn't as adapt as Pueblo's nightvision. "Hm?" She walked over to Pueblo curiously, then shifted her eyes over the large sack. "What'd you find?" It looked oddly mishapen...then suddenly her eyes widened as she saw Pueblo nibble at a finger that was attached to a hand. Her heart suddenly leapt and fell to her knees on the ground- she wasn't stupid, she knew what it was.
She examined the cloth tightly wrapped around the body like a mummie and looked for something sharp. She hadn't any nail clippers on hand or anything of that sort...so the next thing was to look in the fruitful sands. As the water rolled in on the shore of the soaken bodysac, a jagged shell gleamed in the water as Fae quickly grabbed for it. The shell was just sharp enough to make a few tares in the sail material and begun to rip at it until a man's face appeared.. She stopped again. Laying there, an almost bare naked man was uncouncious, if not dead. Fae's eyes scrunched at his shoulder, however, and his arm. Shaking it away, she had to do something. Maybe he was still alive...she could save him. Though this wasn't an easy thing for her to do, and being more shy around guys, she stuck to a job well after a moment of decision. Fae couldn't live with herself if she knew she had allowed a life to slip away without even trying to do something.
Quickly, CPR was the next step. Luckfully for her, this was something she had learned years ago. Being slightly foggy, however, Fae quickly pinched his nose and tilted his head back. Then, without only a seconds hesitation, she lip locked the stranger and gave two deep, forcefull breaths into his lungs. Leaning back, she pressed her forefingers into his neck for any signs of pulse...

With a gasp, and a sputtering sound, the man's eyes snapped open, and looked around him. He gasped for air, and then coughed again, turning his head to one side (luckly the one Fae wasn't on, and spit up a large amount of sea water. Laying still, he looked up at the woman who had rescued him.
His eyes held a little distrust and fright as he opened his mouth to speak. "Wh, where am I? Who are you? Are we close to the port city of Galanie?" His voice, though rough from the salt water, was a wispery baritone. He attempted to sit up, a loud whirring and clicking noise coming from his left arm as he did. Looking over at it, he rearanged what was left of his shirt to cover it as best he could, almost as if hiding it.
Reaching up to feel his head, he winced as he encountered a large not, fingers coming away spotted with dried blood, as he thought back, trying to figure out what had happened.

Fae's face was only inches away from the man from being hunched over him, that when he started to sput water up, she jumped back and fell onto her butt. Her eyes went wide behind her glasses and sat on her knees again to watch him spew water from his lungs. He was alive! Though she knew nothing about him, all that reeled through her head was teh fact she saved his life. Her heart was definately shakey as he begun to spit questions.
Uncertain, she pursed her lips worridly. "You're on Cetalu island.." she trailed off. Galanie? She wondered what to do now, this question now occupying her mind, she forgot about the other questions her asked her.. His body was full of salt water, which wasnt the best for you. Salt can dehydrate you just like *snap*. She scowled at him trying to cover hiself up, then side glanced to Pueblo to make sure she was okay. Sure enough, she was standing aways away, staring a bit unnervingly and unsure. "You need help.." She awared him, eyeing his cuts and briuses, not to mention his salty state. The answer teeter-totter in her mind a bit until she decided. "We're going to go back to my place," she spoke softly. "You can clean up there." All she needed now was for him to passout, which she was surpirsed he hadn't yet.

"Ummmm. Cetalu? Never heard of it? What about the Gibral Straight? Or the capital city of Nattil?" He didn't fully trust the woman yet, but she had saved his life, and she was right, he did need help. He made as if to get up, and stopped, blinking a few times as he raised the Sailcloth to look at his lower half. Crap. Thats what he thought. He didn't have any pants on. "Ummmm. Could you turn your back a moment?" He blushed slightly, gathering the sailcloth around himself.

Fae's eyes watched his body start to shift around. So he was able to move? Finding this somewhat crazy, what normal man could possibly move around after an apparent accident? Fae watched as the soaken sail cloth slip away with water weight from him and instantly turned around, blushing madly. She chewed on her lip hard and blinked off in the distance, trying to erase this memory in her mind. Crap! Where's a MIB when you need one?
Settling her mind, she found her croaky voice upon which she cleared. Where was these Gibral Straight and Nattil he spoke of? "Hm? No, I'm sorry...I wouldn't know. Cetalu is private reservation for-" she stopped and looked down to Pueblo who was pawing at her knee. "Well, I'll explaine that later." Perhaps he could point these locations out on a map. She also knew how Syren freaked, and Fae wouldn't know how this man would take it. After a moment when she thought he had secure his lower naked half, she blinked to the side, but didn't look behind her. "Are you good?"

Quickly tying the Sailcloth off into a manageable length covering himself, he scooped up a small bundle from the beach. It seemed all that Mother Sea had left him was his pouch of tools. "I'm decent. Least as much as i'm gonna get like this." With every movement, his left arm whined and clicked and there was the sounds of gears grinding. As he lifted the arm to run the hand through his hair, it froze with a whining sound. "Dammit. Must have salt build up in it" Giving it a few thunks, it moved again, falling back to his side, where he just held it. "I must thank you M'lady. I have no clue where i am. I am Orian. Orian Ironfist." Limping slightly, he stumbled towards where she was standing, taking in the surroundings, including the creature at her feet. He was full of questions, but was holding them in for the moment.

Orian, was not the only one full of questions. Her eyes gaped at his noise-making arm, then back to him. Was he a cyborg or something? As he stumbled over to her, she assured herself that he was safe enough if he were to give her his name. But her hands stretched out with or without consent of the brain anyways, gripping each side of his shoulders to stabilize him. Her left fingers clutched aganinst the slippery metal arm and couldn't help but say something. "I wouldn't assume salt would be the best thing for..eh..mechinary?" She bit the side of her lip until he was stable, then let her arms back down. "Orian Ironfist, my name's Fae-" She stopped and thought. She'd never been called M'lady before. She saught it as a medevil term and further questioned his previous location.
Pueblo darted behind Fae's foot and hid from the stranger. He was making such weird noises, too! With her tail woven between her legs, she decided she wouldn't expose herself yet to him. What she was unaware of, however, that from peeking from behind Fae's caff, he had seen her.
She managed a small smile and pointed to her house that wasn't all to far away. "My house is just right up there. I don't have a shower, but I do have regular water you can wash yourself off with." She assumed the rest off from him. "Can you walk?" It hadn't occured until now to her. Sure, he looked like he could, but he may need a bit of extra help. Like him, she'd wait to ask the questions later.
