Julian snerked appreciatively.
"Either one'd work just fine."
Blowing on his fingers to extinguish the flames, Julian grinned and gave a small wave.
"Well, it's been good talkin' to you. Maybe... maybe I'll see you later." he said a bit awkwardly. Considering how only a few moments ago Liam seemed keen on ripping out his innards, perhaps it was a little too early to consider themselves friends.
"See you later," he said cheerfully, waving again and turning to go back to the room.

~Technical Difficulties~
"What's Christmas?"
"It's when a bunch of people get together with people they love and given them stuff and have a good time."
"Ooooh..."
*SLAM!*
Liam walked casually into the room, closing the door quite loudly behind him. A strange smirk was set into his face as he made his way over to Rabid.
Rabid was sitting at the dining table, surrounded by slabs of metal and shining wire. She held a strange yellow gem in her hand and was attempting to soulder it to a strange metallic form.
"Hey, Liam. Skelly, can you hold that right...there?"
"Sure," Skelly croaked and held a curled piece of wire near Rabid's souldering iron.
"Alooooo, luv," Liam said and sat in the chair diagonal from his friend, "I just had a chat wiv..wiv...oh, what was his name?"
"Jabir?" Rabid asked before realizing what a stupid question that was, "What did he look like?"
"Err...well...he was...tall...ish. Kinda cute. Brown hair..."
"Oh, that helps SO much. Are you sure you weren't talking to yourself?"
"Positive, luv. His name...started with a...J..."
"Julian?!"
"Ah, yeah...thassit," Liam's smirk grew.
"You jerk!" Rabid swatted Liam playfully, "What'd you talk about?"
"Pay attention," Skelly warned as a drop of molten metal splashed and hardened onto his hand.
"Oh, sorry..."
"Nothing much. William, mostly. Oh, yeah...and you."
"What did he say?!"
"Nothing important."
"I don't care! Tell me!"
"Sorry, luv. Was sworn to secrecy," Liam smiled and stood, "Clemmie...Ike...how'd you like to help your Da make invitations for the party tomorrow?"
"b*****d!"
"Okay!" Clemmie hopped off if Ike's bed with her brother's wrist in her hand. She followed Da to a small group of stools at the kitchen counter, giving Ma's work an appraising look before sitting.
Ike happily joined his sister and Liam and began fiddling with the small envelopes before them.
"What did Evil Julian say about Mummy?"
"Alright, guys. Clemmie, you can write them out, and Ike, you can put them in their envelopes. This is what you have to write..."

~The Much-Anticipated BoD~
Rabid was standing by the bathroom mirror, as was usual before one of her get-togethers. She was not preening herself, though. This time, she was helping a very much alive and very nervous Clemmie brush her hair.
"C'mon! They're gonna get here soon!" Ike bounced in the doorway at Liam's feet.
"He's right, you know," Liam half-smiled as he leaned on the door frame, "You guys look fine."
"Alright. I think you're done, Sweetie."
"Okay. Thank you, Ma!" Clemmie leaped down from the bathroom stool and ran over to Liam, giving Liam a quick squeeze, the same kind she'd been giving him since he'd changed her appearence.
"EEEEEEEE!" Desiree screeched from the main room, "Pointy nose."
"AWWWWWWWK!"

Chao yawned, picking Reid off her shoulders and placing him back on the ground in the hallway near Rabid's room, just outside their own room. "Calm down Reid."
Reid threw his Mu an amused look, "why? Mu tir'd?" why couldn't he be excited? The message from Ms. Mor'b had sounded happy and excited.
"Because," Chao replied with a shake of her head, ignoring Reid's second question and taking off down the hallway. If her family could use that silly logic on her then she could use it on her spawn as well! HA!
Reid shook his head and followed afterwards.

Jizzy didn't have to go far to get to Rabid's she was at the door in less the 30 seconds. "Hey Rabid. I made it." SHe fixed her berrette idlly. SHe could still hear Deimos' guitar playing badly from his room. He was just learning afterall, but he was very enthusiastic about it.

Crow and Julian made it to Rabid's room fairly quickly - Julian had had to be forcibly restrained from running there out of hyperactive excitement.
"Try not to explode, alright?" Crow said dryly as they approached the room.
Julian replied with a jokingly haughty sniff, sticking his tongue out.
"Yeah. Try not to freak out and break any windows."
Crow thwacked him upside the head.
"Hey, Rabid. We're here," she said, poking her head into the room investigatively.

"I hear them..."
"Psycho much?"
"Nonono...I really hear them," Rabid said and made her way to the door, hiding Clemmie behind a particularly tall houseplant. She reached the door to see Crow's face.
"Told you. Hi, Crow!" she said and opened the door a bit more, "and Julian. And Jizzy. And Chao. And Reid."
"REID?!" Ike scampered off between Liam's legs to the door.
"Allo, everyone!"
"Ooooh. People. Hi, people!"
The faint barking of an ectoplasmic dog chained into a bathtub could be heard, along with the continued scampering of numerous beasts away from the new crowd of people.

"IKE!" Reid grinned and rushed forward at the sound of his friend's voice.
"Oh, new people, hello!" new kids? Chao blinked at Desiree, then grinned and waved. The teen casually slung an arm over Jizzy's shoulder as she was nearest to her and just a convientent height as well, shaking off the last of her tiredness in the process.

"Lo everyone. SOrry Dei couldn't make it. He won't leave his new guitar alone." She said with a smile, striding into the room cheerfully, making sure she didn;t diturb Chao's arm on her shoulder as best she could.

" 'Lo, everyone."
Crow immediately made a customary gagging sound as Julian made a beeline for Rabid, and wandered off towards Liam.
"They're going to be all lovey-dovey and make me sick. I just know it." she said in an undertone, forgoing any greeting.
Julian, who had heard Crow's rather waspish remark, decided to ignore it.
"Hey," he said, smiling slightly at Rabid. Unable to think of anything else to say, he contented himself to (discreetly) look her over.
He was getting into the whole hormonal-controlled mindset thing a lot easier than he'd first expected.

Liam shrugged and patted Crow on the head.
"Let's them go at it. Someone's going to piss someone else off, and we get to watch the bloodbath. Or blood orgy. Either way. What's irking you so bad about it, anyway?"
Rabid knotted her brow at Crow's remark, but turned to Julian, regardless.
"Heya. I'm glad you could make it," she said, trying to ignore the fact that his eyes weren't exactly unwavering from her face. Had she created a monster?
Liam cleared his throat quite loudly.
"Oh! Right! Everyone!" Rabid clapped her hands twice, suddenly remembering the girl behind the plant, "Ike has an announcement to make."
"Sankoo," Ike said and took a bow, careful to now drop Desiree who was now resting on his hip, "May I pe'sent to you...CLEMMIE!"
"Yaaaaay!"
Clemmie stepped out from behind the random plant and held her arms out at her sides.
"Look! No more rot!"

Jizzy clapped at Clemmie's apppearance, though in her mind she was thinking of diferent things. SHe thought of how funny Crow and Liema were, and how cute Julian and Rabid were and howshe wondered where Rico was, or why he hadn't bothered to contact her, or anything.
"You look lovely, Clemmie." She said though, grinning broadly at her.

Crow gave a long whistle, her eyes huge.
"Damn! How'd that happen?"
Turning her head slightly towards Liam, she gave him a brief look and shrugged.
"I'm not irked. There's no irking involved."
Her tone clearly suggested otherwise, as well as the predatory gleam of her noticably almost-pupilless eyes - but whatever was bothering her wasn't going to be shared right away.
"Wow...she's not...yeah. Not gonna state the obvious. You look great, Clemmie." Julian said, fascinated by the girl's transformation.

Clemmie spun on her heel and gave a sheepish giggle. Finding out that Ike wasn't an Elf (among other things) had made her a bit nervous to see everyone else.
"Thank you."
"Yeah," Rabid laughed, "She is."
"I happened," Liam said, and turned to Crow to sigh at her, "Look. I expect an explanation eventually. I'm not going to go in for one, but--"
Why, thank you, Little Guv. You've gotten them all together for me! How sweet of you!
Oh, ******** the Hell...?
I must admit, I'm slightly sore that I wasn't invited also.
Liam gave a terrified, questioning glance to Julian. If the other 2/3 of his soul wasn't reacting, then he was just hearing things.
At the moment, he'd much rather be psychotic.
