Belial looked at Yuure in surprise with a face similiar to Kuroi's he however, had words.
"Yuure... Ya i do, im an imperial general its my job to risk my life for the innocent. There hasnt been a war in over 3 century's so... well the army is like over-glorified police, i am a guardian of the citizenry. Yuure... Im happy to help."
He placed a hand on her shoulder and squeezed warmly.

Shina, in her sleep replied to Kai's rhetorical question..with a simple answer "Because you like her and she probably will..." Shina was truly asleep when she spoke.

Skye knocked again at Belial's room "..hello?"
Kai looked at Shina, then chuckled lightly. "...is that what you think?" he lightly rubbed the pendent he wore "..nobody can replace her though.." he mumbled and stood up, keeping watch.

Annemarie kept looking into the water and she saw what looked like a person coming from it. She thought she was imagining things but it grabbed her ankle and she let out a scream and shot light into the air before going under.

Kai saw the light "What, dammit! Shina get up, something's wrong!" he didn't wait for her to respond and rushed to where Annemarie had shot the light from. "Where are you?!"

Annemarie finally got free and swam up to the surface, coughing and gasping. The creature was coming back for her, it was a mermaid.

"Annemarie!" Kai dove into the water and swam to her, "Quick get out of the water!" he dove under and drew his sword, hoping to distract the mermaid to Annemarie could get away.

Annemarie swam to the edge, pulling herself out of the water. The mermaid saw the sword and shrieked as it swam away.

Kai waited for a moment to make sure it was staying away, then surfaced and swam to the shore, drying his sword before putting it back in it's sheath. "Are you alright?" he put his hand on Annemarie's shoulder.

Annemarie coughed and nodded, as she began to shiver.

Kai sighed, and grabbed his coat off the ground then put it over Annemarie's shoulders "Come on, lets get back to the fire before you catch a cold.."

Annemarie grabbed his hand as they walked back to camp, she shivered a little less.

Kai went over to where his small travel bag was and pulled out a small blanket, giving it to Annemarie. "Try to get some sleep now..." Kai glanced at his own clothes, and sighed, then took his shirt off so it could dry, revealing his scarred back and chest for a moment before he put on a dry jacket.
