“Thank you.” Meryl would say this as she sat down by the fire. Her body showed how delicate it actually looked. She was pretty frail in appearance actually, though she could dance easily.

Calisto smiled as she leaned against Alex. She was happy long as the assassin Nadia wasn’t near. She hoped she didn’t come back now that the barrier was down, but she doubted the woman would now that she was injured. Calisto would looked at Alex with a burning question. “Will that woman be returning? She scares me.”

Nadia would continue to nurse her wounds somewhere deep in the forest. She’d pull the daggers out one by one as she cursed the name of Trickmaster after having heard it called out by one of the people there.

“Trickmaster, care to dance with me again after I have tried off? I believe everyone would need their spirits lifted up after that attack.” Meryl smiled as she looked at him hopeful he would agree to such a thing.

Calisto nodded as she just laid her head against his lap. Her head resting there for now, “I wished she didn’t target me. I want to see other locations without fear of being hunted or hurt.” Her words were hopeful but full of fear like a child being tormented.

Akira closed her eyes and smiled big. "Thank you very much Ewan." She said leaning forward and hugging him affectionately. "You are a very nice person, I am very happy to have met you!" Akira stepped back and blushed. "To the fire then?" she asked glancing in that direction.

Akira gently took the pin from her hair and handed it to Ewan, she then moved herself so she could watch him work his magic! She sat beside him, watching eagerly. "Will you show me how you do it?" She asked looking from Ewan's eyes to the hair pin.

Trickmaster bowed low to Meryl with a smile behind his mask. "My dear... I would very much be delighted to dance with you." He said to Meryl. "Dancing with you is such a pleasure.... the thought of refusing your offer would never reach consideration in my mind." He told her.

Ewan smiled. "I suppose I could show you," he said, taking the hairpin into his hands. "It's a pretty advanced spell, however, so there will be quite a bit of training before I can teach it more in-depth. Nothing you can't handle, I'm sure." With that, he tilted his head to look at the pin and closed his eyes. As Ewan started the incantation, it began to glow slightly.

After a few moments, the glowing subsided and Ewan opened his eyes. He looked back to Akira and leaned forward slightly to place the newly-enchanted pin back into the princess' hair. "There you go, dear."

Earta shrugged and turned away. "Well, if you really wish to die here," she said, "then I guess I don't have a say. After all, it's your life; why should a stranger care?" She withdrew a needle from a bag on her waist and tilted her head to look back at Nadia. "You don't exactly look ready to face Death's door, however. Take it from someone else who knows torment; you need help, and I can offer it. For no charge."

Trickmaster quickly joined into Meryl's dance adapting to her form quickly. His eyes twinkled with what was clearly a smile behind his mask. "These are the sort of things that I live for. Wouldn't you agree?" He said as he danced.

Ewan continued to smile. "I strengthened the existing protection, both magical and physical, and added protection from poison. As long as you wear it, you'll be safe." He hugged Akira gently, adding, "I'll protect you from anything not covered by the pin myself. You can count on me, my dear."
