EyrtheGoddess ((post 20)) Yukiko began to slow down in her work because her hunger had made her weak. She stopped in the middle of her work and sat up for a moment listening to the sounds of her stomach. If she were at her mother's house, she would have surly been beatn. Yukiko looked around, nervous. "She has no more control over me, than I do over the sun and the moon." She reminded herself. She smiled at the thought and stood to take a break from her work and eat. ((post 21...am I a miko yet?)) Yukiko walked back to the closet to put away the cleaning supplies. She beamed triumphantly as if she had conquered an enemy. She had never felt so free in her life. She pondered the look on her mother's face if she was there to witness Yukiko's little rebellion against her. "She would surely die of shock if she knew that they treated me better here as a servent than she did of me has her daughter!" Yukiko laughed at her thought as she walked to where she thought the kitchen was.

Being ignored by another maid made Seikeida feel unsignificant and useless. Just think to be ignored by one of my own kind. That made Sekeida very angry but she let it go and just focused on making Maiko.
Still with a little anger inside Seikeida went off to the kitchen to mop the floors. She got the mop, and the bucket and started to mop back and forth. In 20 minutes, when the floors were spotless, Seikeida put the mop and bucket away and then stood to admire her work.
After a little while Seikeida went off to dust the rooms. She got the duster and started. There was so much dust in the okiya that she coughed and sneezed constantly.
Sekeida was nearly done with dusting and all that was left was her room. As she dusted the shelf above her bed her hidden jade bracelet fell down to the ground and cracked into pieces.
She picked up her bracelet and immediatly Seikeida fell down to the fragments of her bracelet and started to cry. The bracelet was the only memory of her ancestors and now it was gone.
As her tears fell she whispered hoping no one heard her," Ever since I got here nothing good has ever happened to me. Why do the gods give me such bad luck? And why do I even think that I can be a Geisha. I mean there are so many other talented and beautiful girls here. Why am I even here?"

Yokome began to eat her dinner but the maid scurried off before she could thank her. She heard a little wimper in the hallway. She had to feel bad for the maid but there seemed to be nothing that she herself could do for she had to run off in a couple of minutes. She let out a sign of saddness and lay down to rest. She seemed to be so exhausted. She just wanted to lay down.

((Maids, if no one is one, that doesnt mean you need to go crazy and make up 20 posts, there is a reason you are maids, so if we need something your there, not to hit twenty and become a maiko. While i must say, you all have a lot of time and imagination to make that many maid involved post o_O))

Yu Jia got up and walked to the kitchen and looked around to see if any other maids were in there aswell. Her hands were infront of her giving ehr a nice posture. Yu Jia picked up the broom and headed into the hall again, this time she would sweep the main rooms floor, she began to do so. Xu Jia was thinking about when she would be a geisha and all the little trinkets you can put in your hair. She pictured herself with a Lily pod flower in her hair with chopsticks on the back and golden pieces dangling. Xu Jia hoped to wear a white kimono with gold tree's and trimming. Xu Jia would have to become a good Geisha to afford things like beautiful silk Kimono's. Xu Jia looked down at the floor she was impressed on how hard everyone was working at becoming maiko's so soon, she would take her time and make sure she finished many tasks that would be remembered first.

Kikaru turned once Xu Jia was gone and picked up the tea cup, lifiting it to her lips, sipping the warm liquid. She shifted slightly and set the teacup down after a moment. Perhaps she should review her lessons..

"Oh, yes of course. I nearly forgot, Kyoku." Okaa-san sparked the flint on the other woman's back for luck.
"There you go, Kyoku-san." Okaa-san ushered then out the door.

((The maids' posts are getting somewhat annoying, like you said, they have a purpose!))
Yokome walked around the okiya, looking for a maiko or geisha to have some tea with. She seemed to be in the mood for a little chat over tea. 'Anyone care to join me?' Yokome said. There had been a lack of presence of maiko lately in the okiya so hopefully someone would join her. She walked very slowly, looking for someone that would want to join her.

Mahou stepped into the okiya. Today would be her first day as a maid in an okiya, and she hoped for the best. She looked down awkwardly as she walked, afraid of making eye contact with anyone else. She had never been excellent when it came to meeting others. She walked around the house and cleaned as had been instructed, day-dreaming as always, and humming as she did all of this.

Endoh stood up, unsure if it was exactly the right thing to do, and floated over to the door and opened it. She bowed politely when finished doing so.

Seikeida picked up the shattered bracelet and lied down on her bed. As thoughts of her life entered her mind she cried herself to sleep.

Yukiko made herself a small bowl of rice, but compared to what she was used to, it seemed like a hearty meal. She found a comfortable spot to sit and ate the rice slowly, enjoying her meal. When she was done, she washed her bowl and utensils thoughly, dried them, and put them away. Not knowing what to do with herself, she went back to her polishing only doing it to pass the time until someone would need her assistance.

"Come then little hana ((flower)), let us go out." Kyoku snatched a plain umbrella from the corner and handed it to her, taking the more colorful parasol. "Walk down the the tea shop in town, i want Chai tea, two magazines, and you can pick out some sweets for yourself like mother said." Kyoku stepped out onto the verandah, down to the walk way, out the courtyard and got into the waiting carrige. Holding the umbella above her with one hand, she waved and smiled reassuringly to the young girl.

It seemed like there were no maiko or geisha around that wanted to join her for tea. She had a lot of free time before she had to go out again. She found one of the maids and asked her, 'Could you go up to the salon and pick me up a deep blue comb? I don't seem to have one that matches the kimono I will be wearing today.

Xu Jia looks at Yokome "i would love to go to the store for you and buy you a comb" she bowed. Xu jia had very good taste at picking things out and was hoping she would be allowed to do so.
