 Shadow smiled slightly. ”Oh, just a few little things that need to be dropped off at a pawn shop later.” she replied simply. ”Need at least a little bit of money if I’m going to be stuck here for a while.”

Shadow smirked and looked back at her. ”I’m not exactly a hero, sweetie.” she replied, then turned back to walking down the alley. After a few moments she spotted the man in the white suit and continued towards him. She was half surprised he was still waiting for her. If he was supposed to be a bad guy of shorts, she figured he would have taken the chance to move on while no one was keeping an eye on him. ”Alright.” she said as she approached him. ”So where to?She glanced down the alley towards the street as she heard something. Two people suddenly appeared on a motorcycle….and one of them she definitely didn’t like the looks of. ”On second though, just picture the place you want to go.” she said turning back to him. She lifted the shadows from the alley into the air and enveloped the three of them in it. After a few seconds the darkness dissipated, leaving nothing but empty space. EXIT to Fisk Towers

Rosie glanced back down the alley as well. She smiled a bit once she spotted Black Cat, but felt a little worried about the skeleton guy she was with. She turned to tell Roxy about Black Cat, but they were already leaving. Oh, well, she could tell her once they took the man home.

(Enter from our universe)  Holy crap. Chris thought to herself, Head rush. She walked out of the subway station on second avenue like she always did after work and gasped when she saw the scenery. This was definitely not the New York she was used to. She whirled around and caught sight of a newspaper stand. Running up she grabbed a paper and flipped through the headlines, Spiderman... Superman... even the name of the paper threw her off. The Daily Bugle? Suddenly feeling a bit dizzy Chris grabbed the side of the wooden newstand to keep herself from fainting. And as if things couldn't get weirder... And my santity has left the building. She thought grimly walking away from the newstand as she recived an angry looked from the owner. Toto, we're defintely not in Kansas anymore...

Shocker was recently hired by the Gotham Bloc to find Deadpool and the Commissar had specified to start in New York, though Shocker originally hesitated due to the encounter with Carnage and Hybrid. The Commissar found several problems with Shocker's gauntlets and had fixed them, as well as adding a few special surprises to assure Shocker's effectiveness in battle and his loyalty to the Eastern Bloc; the Commissar had noted how fickle Shocker was at the sight of money and made sure to input special devices in his gauntlets to assure loyalty till the job he was hired for was done.
Shocker didn't know how to find Deadpool since the trail -if there was one- was probably cold by now, so Shocker decided to pay a visit to a secondary job that the Commissar had given to Shocker, though he kept the down low for now. Shocker was in his yellow costume, but had a trench coat and shade hat to hide him from the public. Shocker really took off his costume since he needed it to protect him against his own blasts; he only took it off to eat, sleep, and wash. Shocker was walking down the street with his head down so he didn't attract attention. Shocker raised his head for a moment to see what a head of him was; it was a news stand. Shocker also caught the owner giving a stink eye look at this girl. Shocker couldn't place it, but she seemed out of place among the crowds of New York. Taking moment to adjust his hat, Shocker continued down the side walk.

Chris caught a man wearing a hat and trench coat looking at her while she had her freak out. He turned to leave but the desperate young woman started after him. If she was where she thought she was he must have been a hero... or villian. Either way she could maybe ask him a few questions. She ran up to him, "Hey! You!" A woman nearby turned around, "Not you! You!" She shouted pointing at the man.

Ghost Rider nodded, and grabbed the chain off of his torso again, two links separating from each other without actually breaking. He got off of the bike and motioned Black Cat to join him.

Black Cat moved to stand beside him, her pale eyebrows raised. She didn't know much about Ghost Rider, obviously, and had no idea what he planned on doing once they got to the apartment. And what about the little girl? Rosie would freak out, and Cat couldn't blame her. "Could you... tone it down a little bit?" she asked.

"Shocky!" a delighted voice called out, "It's been forever! No, seriously, it's been for-ev-er. You never write, you never call! Was it something I said? I just want things to be like they were... that summer on the lake... But the war changed everything... including you..." There was a pause, and the tone changed to one of genuine puzzlement. "And you got a girlfriend? I did not see that coming. Are you paying her?" Quite suddenly, the voice was coming from directly behind Chris. "Pretty cute!"

Chris jumped and whirled around. Holy- She was face to face with one of the people she'd normally seen staring at her from a comic book cover. Deadpool. Quickly after a short moment of geekiness she regained her composure. "I'm not his girlfriend. I just met him." She looked at the man and shrugged "Well sort of. he was creeping about." Suddenly for some reason she regretted saying that. Something in the back of her head was screaming at her for her poor choice in words.

"Creeping, huh?" Deadpool crossed his arms and looked at Shocker. "Oh, no. Shocker never creeps. He's one of the greatest hit men known to man. Shocker would never be reduced to... Oh, wait, that's right, he's a two-bit gun for hire who's been trying to kill the same smart-a** superhero for over a decade. Nevermind! All is right with the world. You know," he added conversationally to the other mercenary, "I was thinking about asking you to point me in the direction of a job, but then I decided I didn't want to spend an afternoon stealing purses from little old ladies."
Quite suddenly, he seemed to remember Chris. "Wait... So..." He tapped his mouth thoughtfully. "If you're not Shocky's first-ever girlfriend... Why am I talking to you instead of ordering my chimichanga?"

In a bit of a daze, Chris replied, "I honestly have no idea... But if you don't mind I'll be over here..." She pointed over her shoulder as she tried to casually walk away. Who knew that he was genuinely that crazy? She started to back up from the pair slowly, she could find information out from someone else.

A tiny little alarm bell went off in Deadpool's head, and not the normal one that meant he should stop drinking vodka for a few minutes. "No problem!" he replied cheerfully, "I'll just follow you like some kind of crazed stalker who plans on cutting you up into little bitty pieces and storing you in his fridge and then playing WoW for five hours!" He glanced over at Shocker. "This guy's kind of a tool, anyway. And by 'kind of,' I mean 'more than you could ever, ever imagine.'"

Chris's eyes widened, "B-but you're a mercenary! Shouldn't you be killing someone?!" Her voice started to crack towards the end. After the comment about the fridge and WoW Chris's mind went into mental freak-out. She was pretty close to snapping and if this guy hung out she'd probubly shoot him, Wait he can't die. she thought to herself grimly remembering the comic book knowledge she'd obtained through her high school years. What have I managed to get myself into? she thought to herslef pathetically looking at Deadpool, not sure what to expect.
