Toshiro released Kurai and smiled at her playful comment. "Nope... first... you rescued me in Las Noches... so we are even." He managed to say underneath a collapsing chest, he couldn't breathe... Had he used too much of the hollow reiatsu? Perhaps he did.
He was entirely out now... no more tricks up his sleeves or reiatsu left. He was truly spent. He looked at Kurai one last time before slumping against the tree. His breath was even now. He couldn't move anymore. He needed to rest. He only managed to talk. "Hahaha... I can't move... you're going to have to take care of me Ha..ha..zzzzzzz" He said before falling into a deep sleep.
He knew Kurai was tired as well. He hoped that they could share the same bed. In the empty shihouin clan house. No one lived there anymore after Yomiko left. Maybe it was an opportunity to go in there for Kurai. So that they could spend their time together in there. He was saddened though, he could not stay with her. It would be too hard. He was an outcast. It's not like he could hide his reiatsu forever. He'd have to leave one day... Of course, she wouldn't allow it. She was even faster. He'd have to do it when she was gone...

Kurai smiled softly as Toshiro fell asleep mid-sentence. A pang of worry rose in her, along with the irrational fear that he would never open his eyes again, but the rhythmic rise and fall of his chest and steady cadence of his breathing told her it was a deep sleep and nothing more.
With a light sigh, she draped his body over hers and lifted him into the ever-useful fireman's carry. The Clan House was open and empty. The family had likely moved to a different compound for the season, but they'd left most of the furniture behind. The Clan was wealthy enough to have separate furnishings for each residence.
Kurai took the sleeping Toshiro to one of the smaller rooms on the second floor. It was open and warm, and Kurai could feel the sunshine stream through the broad windows onto her skin. She lay Toshiro on the soft futon that dominated the center of the room before moving off to look for a washroom.
She returned shortly with a bowl of water, a rag, and clean bandages. Carefully, she cleaned the matted blood away from his face and arms before applying fresh bandages to his wounds.
As she wrung the cloth out and dumped the water, she realized that she was a bit of a mess herself. She still wore the paper medical gown under Toshiro's tattered haori. She quickly poked through a few rooms, finding a place to wash up and a change of clothes.
Now in a white tunic over a black undershirt, Kurai slipped back into Toshiro's room. He was still sound asleep, and the warm sun made Kurai realize how exhausted she was, too.
There was no other bed in the room, and she didn't want him to wake alone, so she slipped down beside him, nestled into his side, and fell asleep, a feint blush rising in her face.

Toshiro slowly woke up from his long sleep. Just how long has he slept? He didn't really care. The sun shined brightly into their room and washed over his face. He opened his eyes wider and rubbed the sleep from them. Only to find that he was covered in bandages. Fresh ones... It hurt to move. He could feel the soreness. Everywhere... his fatigued body was barely able to listen to the commands his mind made.
He heard the soft breathing of something by him. Turning his head, he saw that Kurai nestled up beside him and fell fast asleep. He felt the flesh parts of his body rub up against hers. He couldn't help but notice their leg positions. Her legs were interlocked in his own.
He blushed, her white tunic was a significant change from that paper gown she was wearing, how revealing she was wearing it. It almost ripped off of her. Though still asleep, he wanted to hear her voice. It rang like crystal bell whenever she spoke.
Slowly moved his arm from under the summer sheets and turned to face her. He stroked her left cheek. It was so smooth and warm against his cold hand. Staring at her face, he waited for those beautiful eyes to open. He didn't want to forget this face. Maybe he should surprise her? Make her breakfast? He laughed at the thought. Knowing that the slightest movement would wake her.
This must have been the Shihouin house clan... he thought to himself. The house was very large. It's open windows were made of high quality colored glass. From the looks of it, the maple floors looked like they were polished everyday. The sun's rays bounced off the floors and lit the room into a bright golden color. One day... "Kurai and I will live in our own house" He thought to himself.

Kurai gasped softly as she came awake, tensing defensively as a cool hand brushed her face. She'd forgotten where she was, and panic registered sharply in her eyes. Not Hawk, not... No, the hand was gentle, a caress never meant to hurt her.
A cold, familiar scent drifted around her, and she calmed at once. It was Toshiro beside her. This was sun on her skin and fresh air, a soft bed. This was safe. Toshiro was safe. This was his skin against her own and his legs twined with hers.
"Toshiro," She breathed, now coming fully awake. He was still here, and it was not a dream or a hallucination. She relaxed back on the bed, muted gold eyes finding Toshiro's. She smiled tiredly. "Sorry I fell asleep... How are you feeling?"

Toshiro jumped as Kurai tensed and her eyes shot wide awake as if someone was about to hurt her. He couldn't help but smile still. She was finally awake. He should've let her sleep. He didn't think that his hands were that cold. He leaned in and nuzzled his nose against hers. Though it was childish, it was still rather amusing to him. He shifted his legs and loosened them from her bind. Pulling her in extremely close, "I feel like I've died... and gone to heaven, and my angel woke up next to me in bed." He said in his soft voice.
He threw the covers off of him and lay face up to the roof. Smirking... In his head played a series of things he wanted to do with her. Hoping his body was up for it... she gave him the strength to do anything. Maybe she'll think of it first. Roll on top of him and begin to kiss him aggressively. If she didn't... he would. Then... maybe they could discuss what happened.

"You give me too much credit," Kurai said, blushing at his compliments. My angel... She was his angel. She didn't feel like one. Surely angels protected people, but she'd gotten him hurt. She bit her lip.
But he seemed genuinely happy, and that made her happy, too. His aura was dancing with an interesting combination of love that made her heart skip beats and a soft want Kurai generally reserved for the interaction between Rhia and her vaizard lover. She wondered how her own aura looked and if it twined towards his as his own pale blue and silver did hers.
She couldn't resist moving towards him, turning his face to hers so that she chould press her lips against his. His taste was intoxicating and sweet, like glacial ice. She sealed her lips against his again, letting it grow deeper and hungrier than she'd ever tried before.

"I don't give you en--" He only managed to say before Kurai rolled on top of him and began to kiss him like she hasn't seen him in decades. Her lips moved carefully around his, making sure that each kiss would get the most out of its potential.
His pain... his aching... his fatigue... disappeared from existence as he kissed her back. He placed both of his hands around her waist and pulled her closer to his body. Her tunic pulled upward as they continued to kiss. Toshiro couldn't help but notice her smooth legs. He reached toward them and touched them. Sliding his right hand from her waist, to her outer thigh, he gently ran his hand down to her knee. Then, he placed his hands back onto her waist and turned her over so that he was on top. He pulled away momentarily to look at her.
He smiled so warmly at her beofre he touched his cold lips against hers again. The fresh taste of apples were still present in her mouth. He hungered for it. Hungered like a starving lion that has not eaten in weeks.

Gold and silver streaks flashed against the dark Kurai was so accustomed to seeing. Toshiro's lips moved against hers fiercely, and she returned the passion, feeling the cold burn as his fingers traveled down her leg.
Gently, he flipped her over, resting his weight carefully against her before lowering his lips to hers again. She could feel them curve upwards in a brilliant smile, and hers moved in response. Her love for him made her ache in the most brilliant way.
She slid her hands down to his chest where her fingers played lightly over his bandages, aware that his must be in pain but unwilling to give up this sudden passion that seemed to have swept them both up in the same instant.

Toshiro continued to kiss Kurai, kissing her as if this was the last time he was going to ever see her. He could feel her hands slid down gently to his bandages. He couldn't really understand why, did she want them off? No... he would be bleeding excessively if he took them off. The soft felt cloth that was tightly wrapped around him was holding him together. Perhaps she was wondering if he was in pain? Pain... he was in pain... not physical pain. It was the tear in his heart that he would have to leave her after this. Banished to earth because of his choice not to follow the norms of society. What if... he never sees her again? No... he didn't want to think about it. It pained him too much to think about it and spoil the precious moments that he had left with her. His hands slid to her cheeks. Where he cupped them in his hands and pulled her closer. As if he could. They were practically glued together. He wanted her even more. His hands released her face and began to explore parts of her body. He pulled away, and smiled. He licked her lips playfully. He continued his exploration. He didn't know if she wanted it, but she wasn't stopping him at all. His eyes caught the open window. He closed it shut with a swift movement of his left hand. Pulling down the shades, darkness drowned the room. He searched for the pieces that kept the white tunic in place and... on her. It was then he stopped. He couldn't do this. Not Kurai. Not yet. He couldn't... He stopped his search and continued kissing her. This is what he wanted. The closeness. The emotions. Her. Together. It's all he really desired. It was difficult, to resist his urges of desire of her flesh. Though, he was able to withdraw his bodily wishes and continue. The closed doors and the darkened room added an effect of security. The warmth. He stopped her. Just to say one thing. So that she would know. "I love you..." He said to her.

Kurai let her hands roam over Toshiro's chest as she returned his passion with enthusiasm. His own hands came up to cup her face before the began to slide over her body, touching her in the most intoxicating way.
He stopped for a moment, reaching away to close the shades. Kurai licked her lips, tasting Toshiro's scent on her. The sun streaming in through the window and warming her face was blotted out by the shades, casting them both into cool darkness. Toshiro's hands returned with as much enthusiasm as before, this time searching. Kurai felt him tug at the ties that kept her tunic about her slim frame.
Kurai didn't realize how hard she was breathing until Toshiro froze against her. Each time she inhaled her torso lifted several inches from the mattress, filling her with an odd combination of pain and longing. She was confused by her own reaction, consciously working to calm herself. Were they really going to do this? There was no doubt she wanted to. Wanted him.
But Toshiro was already slowing down, kissing her without hunger, touching her only chastely. It seemed he desired only closeness, nothing more. Kurai grinned sheepishly into the dark, realizing she'd let herself be swept up in a moment. At least Toshiro had kept his head.
When he stopped, telling her very directly of his love, she knew that she didn't mind the direction things had taken. She only ever wanted Toshiro with her forever, in any capacity. "I--" Here, she drew paused, her breathing not quite under control, yet. "I love you, too. You know I do,"

It didn't take long for Toshiro to realize that he killed the mood. All because he couldn't go through with his actions. He wanted her, and more. The feeling was assumed the same with her. He stopped kissing her and looked at the clock on the wall, April 21st... He left for Hueco mundo over a week ago and came back on April 18th. His time was already running out. The clock on the side of the room showed the date. He slept for a few days. That was the time frame he allowed himself to stay here with her. He would have to leave. Would he risk his exposure with her and place her in danger because of his own selfish ambitions? Maybe... for once... it was beneficial to be selfish. Yes, he would stay. Though still fatigued, he still managed to roll out of bed. His entire body ached. Everything hurt. Including his head... It pulsed and throbbed. He turned back at Kurai. Realizing his chest was exposed and heavily wrapped in bandages. It was still nice out. Maybe the day wasn't spoiled yet. He opened the windows and was welcomed by the singing of birds. He smiled. He looked at Kurai and smiled. He reached over and held her hand. "Wanna show me around this Castle?" He asked her playfully. '
Fully aware that Kurai didn't live here... he was asking her because of the fact that he has no sense of direction. If he was going to get lost, he'd rather have her lead him. He smiled at the irony. A blind person leading the way. He didn't wait for her answer and pulled her up. His muscles screamed at him to rest. He would rest later... he only had SO MUCH time. He pulled her out of the room and started walking around in random directions. Turning at every corner. He soon realized that he was lost. He turned to Kuraime and huffed. "Jeez, great job leading Kurai! Now we're lost!" He teased her knowing that he was the one that got them in that situation. He continued to walk until Kurai stopped him and showed him how to get outside. Every room was beautifully made. Though, they were almost identical to each other. Consequently, everywhere he turned looked exactly the same. Maybe the shihouin housing area was made for golden eyed, speedy beings.

"Toshiro--" Kurai began as he tugged her up. She could feel the strain in him as he pulled her to her feet. He wasn't strong enough for this yet. He needed to rest. She bit her lip, knowing her recent behavior wasn't exactly conducive to sleep... In fact, it'd probably have worn them both out more it... Before she could protest further, he'd dragged her from their small room and took off down the hall as Kurai worked to set her tunic straight from Toshiro's previous attempts to remove it.
His enthusiasm was catching as he insisted she show him around the "castle." He knew very well she didn't have any clearer an idea of the layout than he did... But he probably didn't know that the main Shihouin house dwarfed this small residence several times over.
He started off down one corridor, turning at random and getting them both thoroughly lost. Even Kurai's senses began to blur as they passed room after lavishly-adorned room. Finally, she took pity on him and showed him a way out doors, mostly following her nose to the fresh sunshine outside.
They came out on terrace just as the sun began to wane. It was nearing dusk and the day was growing cooler. Kurai was sure romp throug the halls had tired Toshiro, and she was going to force him to rest, no matter what.
"Are you happy, now?" She wanted to know, grinning crookedly. "I don't even know where we started, but I can tell you're tired again. Lie down, ok? even outside is fine, just take it easy,"

Kurai could easily see right through him. Figuratively. She was right though... He was exhausted. He did not have the energy to argue with her any longer. Toshiro found comfort being near Kurai. Maybe she could be his pillow as well. He pulled her down along with him so that they were both on their backs. He rested his head against her breast. Completely oblivious where he was. He was comfortable though. He looked up at the sky and watched the clouds go by before his eyes began to grow heavy. He wanted this moment to last forever. Being with her meant everything. He closed his eyes, slowly slipping into his dreamworld. Random thoughts of Kurai running through his head made him smile until he finally fell asleep on her.

Kurai lay down obliginingly next to Toshiro, knowing she'd finally won out in her demand for him to rest himself. Of course, she didn't mind if they rested together. He'd boldly laid his head on her chest, but Kurai didn't mind. I could stay like this forever, she realized, marveling at the simple contentment she felt simply by being with him.
Toshiro's breathing slowed to a deeper rhythm. He really was exhausted, poor boy. She gently ran her fingers through his hair. His even breaths lulled Kurai, and she found herself dropping off in the last rays of the evening sun. She was alseep within minutes, one hand resting lightly by Toshiro's face.

Lupus finally broke through the tree line after an hour of runnung through the forest. Taking another sniff of air he cuaght the scents of Kurai, and Toshiro. Glad that there was soemone to take care off Torsin he let out a loud howl before laying Torsin on the ground. Looking down at he faded away as Hitotsuhoshi changed back to it's sealed state. Know it was all up to Torsin to stay alive. With only one eye Torsin could only see what was on his left. Thanks to the pain he was unable to move restricting his vision even further.
