Oh, sorreh 'bout that... I pretteh much butchered your move, didn't I? XD Well, at least you're not completely without cause. >.>; wink )
Katsumi watched from a distance as he doubled over, rolling away from her. Just then, a packet of needles was flung in her direction, breaking into a dozen separate ones as they flew in closer. They were pretty off-center, but about half were headed straight for her and would strike her uncovered flesh if she didn't do something about them. With a quick swipe of her kunai, she batted away a couple of them, bending sideways to dodge the others. The rest whizzed by harmlessly, striking a tree behind her and making tiny thunking sounds as they stuck into the bark. She turned back to her opponent, kunai raised again in defense. With her other hand, she uncorked the glass vial and smirked a little. She loved her little alchemic spells she invented; they always packed a punch (or a kick), and they were pretty simple to make. She'll have fun with this one...
She raised the glass container to her mouth and sipped the green fluid in one quaff, feeling the magical liquid course down her throat and into her stomach. The magic didn't stop there, however; it continued to surge through her entire body untilshe could feel it within her fingertips. Her breaths were quickened and she could feel the changes taking place.
She took a step back and kept an eye on her opponent. As she did so, her skin suddenly changed, a foresty green tint as the gradation of the emerald hue crept over her body. She watched with one eye as the green color bled onto her arm, making her skin the color of spring leaves. Her hair, which normally cascaded down and onto her delicate shoulders like water, stiffened and hardened, looking more like wood by the second. The color and texture of her skin matched almost completely with her clothes, which were made to look like foliage. Soon, her entire body looked like it were made from spare parts of a tree: her skin like leaves, her hair like branches.
Katsumi smiled, though it was hard to tell, the lines on her face seemed to meld within each other. "So, how do you like it? This is a trick I learned from a mentor of mine," she whimmed, still holding the kunai in place, though it looked more out of place than before, since it was the only thing on her made of metal. "Now, we have some fun." With that, she reached back and deposited the kunai into her pack in one swift movement, crouched down, and sprung up and back, somersaulting backwards and into the treetops, her features completely blending into her surroundings.
Though the potion was originally made to alter only her appearance, it also heightened her senses and made her more agile as well, unfortunately with the drawback of extreme exhaustion afterward. Still, she liked a little excitement every now and then; she hadn't used one of these potions in ages...
From a branch high in the trees, with a good peripheral view of the opening they were fighting in, she silently crept toward the edge, crouching down so that she could throw her voice out to a different spot of the woods.
"Catch me if you can, olde timer. I like a good chase better than a boring ol' duel, anytime..." And with that, she vanished again into the trees above...

((Indeedy.))
The man watched this happening with out concern, she could have formed a more offensive form, but the game of Cat and mouse would certainly begin. His ears shifted with every little sound, as if trying to catch the faintest whiff. His nose curled and wrinkled while he looked for the scent of her kunai.
Though it would be faint, he was sure that he could track it down. Show the youngin's a thing or two. And so with a casual flip of his cloak, a simple hand seal thrown in he slowly shifted out of sight. A quiet tap tap and puff's of dust appearing before his foot prints abruptly disappeared.
The only sign of his presence was the rustle of tree branches and the leaves there in. Though if one were at a proper angle the appearance of tan thread would strike the interest of any one with senses. Especially since it appeared where the movement had taken place.

Maruku suddenly felt his ears fliker as he heard the battle of Zenrai and Katsumi. He turned his head towards the direction of the battle before turning to his sensei awaiting instruction.

The only thing the figure would get would be an open invitation from a past sensei, who being a protective figure over his Gramps, didn't like people "snooping." It would be at that point that a series of leaves seemed to cascade all around the area drawing the non combatants away. Truelly a potent Genjutsu.

Kombi notices the strange movement of the leaves...She feels as if she is being watched. She slowly backs away, eyes seemed have a dull silver color as scans the area. Kombi could almost taste the chakra in the air. She stops shaking her head realizing that she was the target of a Genjutsu. Feeling slightly offended by the Genjutsu being used in her it only made her more determined to find the source of it. she whispers under her breath, "someone doesn't want me to be here..."
A feirce grin appears on her face as she pulls up her scarf...A fog seemed to envelop her. Hiding her presence even more. She goes deeper into the outter dojo area.

Katsumi watched at he vanished, then heard the rustling as he entered into the leafy thicket of the trees; she knew that he was probably better at tracking individuals than she was, but she could still her his movements. Being invisible could only hide so much...
She turned her head back and forth, observing the movements of the leaves and branches about her. She knew the forests like her own home, since she lived in one herself, so this would be an interesting match of wits.
She found her mark, as she saw the branch in the distance ben ever so sublty downward, though barely any other sign gave it away. She immediately withdrew a set of two shuriken, made from sharpened wood. she crafted her own weapons from wood, such as kunai and shuriken, though they were of lesser quality than their metal couterparts. They were still effective nontheless, and lighter to carry as well. With a flick of her wrist, she sent them both flying through the air, trimming leaves and small ranches as they flew toward the spot. Simultaneously, she launched to her right, dodging through the branches and shrouding her body with the foliage of the canopy. She found a great branch and sidled down upon it, kneeling and bending her body so that it looked like a natural formation.
She had heard the shuriken hit a tree, so she knew that she had missed, but that should have gotten her opponent moving, which she could spot more readily than if he stood static n the trees.

Espyn Mannix Espyn entered into the vast area of towers and earth and open air, looking around and holding his head as a sudden rush of cleanliness overwhelmed his body.
"That was odd..." he whispered to himself, adjusting his backpack and smiling as so many things became reknown unto him, all the memories of training and fighting and eating.
The main dojo area made a mean a** breakfast.
"I wonder where Kaimen is..." ~I'm on the roof...~ Turning to Maruku he spoke. "How have you advance in melding you chakra with the earth around you?"

What she probably hadn't counted on was the thread, which he had used as soon as he saw the shuriken as a safety line, thus allowing for a better view of where the thrown objects had come from. He smiled beneath it all and started again, his brachiation through the tree's coming closer to where he had last seen movement.

"And how about...pouring your chakra into a simple thing like a blade of grass and making it grow?" Kaimen grabbed a nearby leaf and added substantial amount of chakra to it and watched is it expanded in size almost to the size of his arm. He turned to his student and grinned.

Espyn looked over to Kaimen and his feat and jumped down from the mound of rocks he'd hoped onto, walking over to his sensei.
"I think I should be able to do that... it hasn't been THAT long since I've trained with you, sensei..."

Kaimen's Bunshin said tapping Espyn on the shoulder.
"Well, you can learn since you scored so high on your test..I wish Katsumi was here though..but shes advanced as well..."
