He studied Tristian, long, and hard, but not in a cold way. Just taking in what he could from what he'd been given, before murmuring, in a deep, strangely calming voice, "Tell."

Tristian whimpered, unsure if he wanted to share the details. He nodded slowly, shifting to sit up all the way, crossing his legs and folding his hands as he let his head hang some. Two men...kidnapped my younger sister...He paused, swallowing hard as his mind slipped into the memory, his eyes tinting a deep, deep red as he continued. She was five...defenseless...They told my father that if he wanted her back alive he'd have to give them hundreds of thousands of dollars...His boss wouldn't let him do it. She almost died...He paused again, body visibly trembling. I snuck out...I took the guns my uncle kept...I followed their car after they met with my father...I killed the man's minions...I killed his wife...I told him that he deserved it for what he put my family through...then I took his guns, shot him almost a dozen times in various places, and left him to die...He clenched his teeth and closed his eyes, unsure if telling was the right thing to do.

He sighed sftly and sat up, pulling Tritian's head into his lap, stroking his hair, slowly, softly, murmuring over and over softly, "Hush, hush, it's all right, it's all right, now Tristian. I have you. Cry it out if you like, my angellus."

I refuse to cry for them...he growled, almost as if it weren't him who said it. He rested again Lucius, however, and shook his head some. If it happened again, I'd kill them again. I'd kill them slower...let them feel the pain they forced upon others...

He nodded, slowly, still stroking his hair, but becoming less coddling about it, merely comforting. "'Tis our curse. To feel no remorse, except for the remose we should feel. To pity only after the fact. To only miss our humanity at out most inhuman."

Tristian sighed and shook his head, shifting to cling to Lucius, his moods moving back and forth as Lucius' blood had been mostly taken over by his own once again. This is rediculous...he muttered after a long silence, referring to the way his body reacted to power.

Lucius shrugged, flipantly and leaned over to kiss him again, standing and slipping over to where his jacket hung over the window, fishing a pack of cigarettes out of the pocket, adn slipping out of the tool shed for a smoke.

Tristian sighed and shifted to his feet, following after Lucius even though he had no desire for smoking. He leaned against the frame of the door, eyes scanning the ground and the tombstones, then the skin as he heaved another sigh.

Lucius raised a brow, glancing back to the door way at him, in the middle of his third drag, blowing the smoke, as a habit, away from him. "What is it, angellus? Are you angry with me for something?"

No...Tristian breathed, shaking his head. Not at all. He shifted his eyes from the sky back to the figure in front of him. Just letting my mind wander. He offered a frail smile and leaned his head against the doorway before looking back off towards the trees, pausing at the gazebo they met in.

He took another drag and let it out slowly, watching it drift up ino the moonlight as he followed Tristian's gaze. He murmured, softly, in the lyrical, deep, strange voice he had sometimes, as the night they had first met.
"It seems like just yesterday, or the day before, doesn't it? When in fact it's been a month or two, now, I suppose."

A soft smile came over Tristian's lips and he nodded, slowly letting his eyes wander back across the scenery back to Lucius. Yet I still know so little about you...why you came...what you wanted...His voice had a bit of thoughtfulness to it, and his eyes caught the moonlight in a manner that made them look almost glowing.

He smiled, lazily, letting his eyes slide closed as he took another long drag.
He'd almost forgetten about the lovely and soon-to-be-deceased Ophelia. Trisitan, somehow, took his mind off his killing rage. Off the chillingly pleasant thought of bleeding the waif dry. About choking her, squeezing that lovely throat that he remembered so well and watching the life dim and fade from her eyes.
He tossed the cigarette to the ground, puttign it out with his bare foot, then looked up at Tristian, smiling, softly, placidly.
"It's nothing that would interest you very much, angellus. Just collecting an old debt."
