scurr id recommend marines they're a good army to start off with because they're average sized flexible units that can take a hard hit and get back up again. or the oh so simple to use orks... as all you do is get a whole bunch of boyz and bring da propa WAAAAGHHGHHH!!!

tyler9834 I was thinking about going with Grey knights, only because I figured it would be cheaper to start with an army that's not very big, but full of really powerful units, but than I saw the price of Grey night models. 75$ for a group of terminators isn't very cheap >.< I've decided to just go with imperial guard instead, cheaper, and more awesomer. That's because you went the wrong route there. There are LOTS of people who thought Daemonhunters would be awesome, and have since dropped them as an army. The second-hand market is a great place to pick up Grey Knights ultra-cheap.

dependng upon what you want to use most.
use chaos marines if you want some tough troops at close combat, aswell as range. ive seen a unit of khorne devoted chaos ( 10 man ) take out a 30 man strong unit of orks when they charge with close combat weapons.
for more ranged supiriority, use normal marines.

So yeah, Looking for any advice? What is the best army for someone who loves aggresive combat. If Aggresive means sending your ranged combat troops up to pin the foe down before your melee troops gut them?

Or Blood Angels. Both are Marines and, thus, more forgiving for newcomers. Orks if you feel like being more silly and ded killy.

I'm not gonna buy a bunch of different codex's that I'm not gonna use.. You only need one codex to play. You want to play Space Wolves? You buy codex Space Wolves.
