I play flute, or I used to in High school. I graduated in 2005, so I don't play as much I used to. From time to time, I get it out and I play it. I promised my boyfriend that I would write a song for him, so I guess I better do that, huh?
I also played piccolo. I started that when I was a sophomore. Then, when I became a junior, I was section leader of the flute section in marching band. It was great. I did that for 2 years. Though, there was a certain girl who thought she could take over my position. If I could've, I would have beaten her. I was a veteran. Grrr. stressed
Then, in my sophomore year after Christmas break, I switched to oboe. We didn't have an oboe player (oboeist?) and I switched. I was called a traitor, but I am flutist at heart! I love Noah (my flute)! heart

yes i am a guy...no im not gay (why do people assume this?) i play the flute and have been since fourth grade anything wrong with that?no thought not but any way playin the flute is awesome(not because i get to be the only guylol)but because you know i thought it would be fun and it is ^.^ i am a freshmen ongoing sophomore in highschool and hope to be the only guy in my section..no accusations of calling me gay(besides heard there was gonna be like 2 new guy flutes in my section >:C im gonna kick their butts if they do)

Is it just me or does it seem like every flute section in any band has drama?

I know mine does.
Especiall in marching season, so this year I'm moving to the Pit.

I play the flute and it so funny because my band teacher can't play it and whenI first learned I had to completely teach myself.

mipcy I'm here.....but I don't know how many other flute players there are. Hey, i'm a flute and piccolo player, i've been in band for 4 years!!! i love it i have the nerdiest band treacher EVER!!

i love playing the flute. i have been playing since 3rd grade and its so fun! i dont care what chair i am as long as i get to play!!!!!!!

ah the flute! I friggin LOVE playing my flute! oddly, ive switched between 1st and second chair for a while now. ive been playing for 2 going on 3 years, and they sure as hell have been exciting! and OF COURSE,you cant have a flute section without DRAMA. This first flute, Hannah, thinks she is allways right about every note and rhythm and pitch and its SO ANNOYING!. But whatever, we only have to listen b/c shes first. But i love my flute anyways! (haha, his name is Jasper!)

I play the flute! yay! And I'm in middle school, so I don't have to worrry about chairs and 'section leader'. yay!

Hello. I play flute.
My friend and I are pretty much the only people who actually blow. The other flutists can't blow at all, seriously. D: We play loud, and they play soft.
It's ridiculous.

AHA, blow... rofl
Anyway, well I can't blame you. I know a few people who I guess just don't have a lot of muscle power to push enough air through their flutes. It's kinda sad, 'cause I know they really like to play it.
As for me, I'm kinda a fast learner, so I have pretty good articulation and stuffs.

I don't really care if I hate my band. The fun part is that we flutes TOOT!!!! xd Lipty I wanna be in drumline. Gahhhh. What's the difference between a metal and a plastic piccolo?
