Yep, Japanese always sounds pretty much the same. It must be something to do with their love for vowels. Possibly.
Every consonant has to have a vowel after it, except for n.

Not true. Take the word Gesshoku for example. Gesshoku is actually Ge-su-sho-ku but for the sake of flow in the language, they say Gesshoku. ~Daruki, help me here. I kno I screwed up, but I kno there is another syllable before sho~

I've already forgotten most of my chinese and I don't believe I'll find anything that'll motivate me enough to learn jap kanji/romanji or anything or the sorts. I'm happy with the few words in jap that I know. />>;; At least there's a topic... Of sorts. Your thread's dying, isn't it, B? ^^; ABD... You know what it stands for. That thread needs initials too.

Could everyone who believes in it please pray for my grandma? She fell and broke her hip again. She's already had one replacement surgery on the other.

If you look at the Hiragana spelling below, there's a special character (small "tsu") put in between the syllables "ge" and "sho" that doubles the "s" sound.

@Mushroom: Will do, like Nic says. smile
