Audley Mekania She ended up fixing the hair no problem so I reuploaded it ^^ Aaand, U-gin finished my second piece: I really like the piece Erilu did for you - Mekania looks so beautiful in it. I also quite like your U-gin pieces, too - I'm having to resist commissioning her (as I'm already getting confused by loads of others) ... it's hard (; Thank you! I can't believe how beautiful the Erilu piece came out! I like the big nose XD I wasn't supposed to be commissioning more after I ordered the Basia pieces but I couldn't resist when I saw how cheap they were. *is weak*

I'm seriously considering just deleting them all and trying to be more diligent in future (; Do you know if Erilu does commissions at all? <- argh, I can't help myself (;

I'm not sure, I don't think she does but it never hurts to ask. She may take a freelance job since she's done with school for the summer (I think). I was really glad I caught her kiriban in december though, I love her style so much.
I'm obsessive compulsive about my inboxes >>; I make sure I clean them all out before they get past 30 (and I usually check my dA every half hour or so anyway...)

I have asked (; No response yet, but fingers crossed. Possibly a good thing if I never hear from her, though, as I'm already behind on getting back to other people who I'd recently asked to commission ... I used to be quite good with commenting and clearing my watchlist, but alas - The Job That Ate My Life! stopped being a low production B-grade film in my imagination and became part of my daily reality (; I have, however, cleared the 500 deviations - I just can't do it with the schedule I have. <- slack? Sketch commission from Maeva Pierre, four headshots from GunnerRomantic, and another WIP sketch from Nati.

I logged into gaia and got this BEAUTIFUL comission by huit: I was so happy it should have lasted all week. biggrin But right after that I got a PM for earthkid who has busted a cheater in my art contest. Proofs: OriginalMy boyfriend said it looked like a trace and turns out he was right. So sad to alreaddy have a blacklist. sad I shoudl report this right?

I wouldn't report it. IMHO, that's far too extreme. S/he probably didn't read the rules right. Just tell the artist that they aren't allowed to refernece poses and then greylist them. In otherwords, just ban the one entry, and then blacklist them again from the entire thread if they submit another 'traced' (I use the term loosely) entry.
However, I read your rules, and you should definitely clear them up by stating that even poses cannot be referenced from other illustrative art. Some people often interpret this as meaning you can't completely duplicate a picture but takinga pose is fine especially because there are only so many poses the human body can do. I think, though, it's unfair to forbid eyeballing poses from stock photos and photos taken yourself - both of which are taken for the purpose of others' (or your own) manipulation and reference.

Yeah I changed the rule actually. Instead of: Don't enter with art that are'nt yours. No eyeballing.I wrote: Don't enter with art that's not yours. No copying, see sticky.
The rules in the picture post forum/art arena/R&C should be in my contest too. I think that entry was more then just reference of pose it was a complete rip of of both characters and the chair, just with different clothing and hair. I have'nt it reported but I did blacklist the artist. It's not fair in an art contest to take credit and possible win a prize for something you did'nt do yourself.
