Julianne looked at the plate, and picked up two, offering one to Stacey. "For you, little lady," she said with a smile. Not that Stacey needed the extra energy.

The little girl beamed up at Julianne and took the cookie. "Thank you Julie!" she said, then promptly began nomming on the cookie. Nibbling wasn't the right word... nor was eating really.
"So how do you know Becca?" the little boy asked. "Do you work with her down at that one place?"

"No, I don't work there," Julianne replied, "We met through a mutual friend." She wasn't sure if Rebecca was comfortable letting her little niece know that she had a boyfriend, but Julie was dead sure that Rebecca wouldn't want her little niece to know that her new friend was also friends-with-benefits with that same boyfriend.

"We met just today." Rebecca chipped in. "Julie is going to be taking us all down to the Circus, and take a break from her own work to have a little fun with us."
Stacey smiled and looked up at Julianne. "Are you going to play games and see the animals?"

"I'm always for seeing the animals," Julianne replied to Stacey as she took a bite of cookie. Then, she looked at Amber and said, "I will follow you anywhere. Make these, and I will follow."

Amber smiled, then moved to have a seat at the table herself. "Well, have as many as you like. The children will be having sweets at the circus, I'm sure. So they don't need too many."

"Don't mind if I do," Julianne said, grabbing a second one, even though the first was still only half-eaten. She then looked around as she finished the second cookie, and spotted Rebecca's brother; she recognized him from when he opened the door.
"Hey, stranger," she said, trying not to sound flirty (flirting was a habit of hers, but she didn't want to lead on her new friend's brother), "I'm Julianne."

The man smiled a bit and walked into the doorway of the kitchen. "Tommy." he replied. "Sorry, Dad and I tend to leave the women and children to the kitchen. We usually get run over if we try to be in here with everyone else."

"Well, we're all held up with cookies," Julianne said jokingly, "So it should be safe for another five minutes or so. Just enough time to make a sandwich." She finished off the first cookie, and said to Tommy, "And if you want one of these, better get it now."

Tommy grinned and moved over to the plate to snag a cookie while he could. Stacey beamed up at him as he ruffled her hair and moved over to the kitchen. "So I hear you're taking everyone over to the circus." he said as he took a bite of cookie.

Tommy smiled a bit and shook his head. "No. I have to go to work in a few hours." he replied.
Rebecca shifted uneasily in her chair. "Actually... from what I understand, you don't have to go into work today." she said.
Trommy glanced over at her. "What do you mean?"
"I'll explain later. I have... a bit of a surprise for everyone." she replied.
