"It is. The very best for leather since it's extract helps form the belts and sheaths in the first place. It's also easy to find when out like this which makes it convenient." Reaching over and pressing the vial into her hand. "Just let some drip onto your fingers and work it into the leather." Laying a sheath into her lap. Hmm, he needed to do his boots, too.
It was a hard question to answer but she wanted to be as truthful as possible. "If our leader has anything to say about it then you won't. But I think your friends would rather you did and I'm willing to try and make that happen, too. I hope you will." But...that brought up another question. "Why aren't you his forever?"

Logan paused for a moment before he nodded and chuckled. "It happens some times, oh well it's not that big of a deal anyway." Honesty from Gem wasn't such a bad thing, she had a way to playing it off. "So Capitan, before all of this, what kind of treasure did you have? Must of had some really good things on board huh?" Just asking to pass the time really.

Gem merely rolled her eyes. "Gems. My flag and my sandsea alias lends to such things well. Jewel of the Sandseas I am in name and practice."
Her hand cluctched almost tight enough to shatter the vial, but she relaxed it quickly. Why did he have to shove things at her before giving some kind of clue? Just like how he grabbed at her and she couldn't catch it before it happened. Uncapping the stuff she indeed dripped some onto her fingers, taking a sniff at it as well as feeling it out on the pads of her fingers. That was high quality stuff too. But she helped out after a few minutes, if anything to keep her hands busy. "I suppose this is your trade secret then. How clever yet simple."
A blink...this one wanted to take her side some? That was unusual but at the same time it wasn't unpleasing...everyone else seemed to be against her after all. That look melted into a somber one though. "He..." Well, she didn' tknow what to say...wanted ti say he didn't return the feelings. Because he didn't. Hope was a tortorous thing. "Just not the right time, I suppose..."

Logan blinked then shook his head, mostly it was to himself. "Okay yes that I get. I mean have you gotten jewels that are rare? The kind people give special names to because of the way they look? You must have a few of those right?" Gem was certainly like any other woman, gems were highly sought after by anyone who had a keen eye for them, and of course Gem was no exception to that.

"One of many." No, he didn't fully understand how her mind and such worked. He knew she could see shadows and slight shapes and therefore assumed that she could easily grasp what he was handing her. Watching her actions, he shook his head and realized she was going to need a little bit of help. Setting aside the leather belt he was oiling, he slid behind her and settled his arms around her hips, reaching for her wrists and gently guiding her fingers in the proper movements to coat the leather and sink the oil in. Tilting his head, he nodded and lowered his voice. "Good, Vryn. Just like that. Keep it up."
She didn't understand that answer and her expression probably conveyed that. "There is no set timeline for this sort of thing. Why didn't you follow through with the ritual? Do you know how dangerous it can be for both of you to allow your marking to fade?"

"Tell me what makes a gem rare? That differs from opinions really." Shrugging, seeing as that was all there was to it. "I'm not out to discover anything new or important. Just to fill my stomach at the end of the day with a good meal."
"Many guarded I'm sure." Blinking in surprise a little as he moved and took to correcting her. Apparently she was doing something wrong. Ears twitched again at his voice so close, one tip brushing his cheek as it had before. "Didn't know there was a method to this more than just general rubbing." But letting him help anyway...was his stuff, she'd probably be picky too if it was hers. This scent was going to stick to her all day and night, she knew that much.
Now she was going to be berated over it. "We were...interrupted." Was not going to say because Kaznec had a tranformation limit problem though...that was not public information. She'd just lie if it was asked further on, she was good at it at least. "No worries...it's already faded off me..." Much as she hated to admit.

She had no idea. But he kept his arms lightly around her waist, gently working her fingers until she began to automatically use the proper pressure and pattern. "There's always a way and a right way. Random rubbing chafes it. You have to be decided, firm and confident in what you're doing. Use the right amount of pressure but also keeping your touch gentle at the same time." Keeping his head positioned just so, he felt her ear brush against his cheek and his lips curved even though she couldn't see it. "Not just tough as nails but a fast learner as well."
Which brought out what she really didn't understand. Lerciana could read the guarded irritation in the other woman's eyes and backed off the subject quite hastily. "I see. Do you love him?" The bronze had claimed she did but, as most knew, it often wasn't nearly that simple.

Logan looked at Gem and a small smile tugged at the corner of his mouth, seemed that the sands at least had a Capitan who wasn't so over the top, which was good. "True." Though he blinked at her next set of words, and he couldn't help it but really smile that time around. "I'm glad to see you only worry for what is needed than what is out of reach." Made a person more humble and easy to trust, though Logan had a feeling Gem would do what was needed in order to make sure she stayed alive and her ship was intact, living in this world always made people pick the tough decisions. "So overall, how many gems do you owe?"

"You have to be a fast learner when you're the runt of the litter. Otherwise no one will take you seriously enough to let you show them just how much you're worth." Indeed catching on fast and letting him help just for the sheer fact of the way it had been approached. "I take it these are words to live by that your twenty-three years on me has taught you? Am I learning assassin secrets? My my I am privilaged."
"If he'd let me." Frankly there was that conflict of interests. Not only was he her friend but he was also her boss. Naturally he'd take over for his father, and she'd take over to Koto. Was it healthy for things to be personally as well as professionally invovled? Then again, Des was talking abotu taking what she wanted.
"Why? Because dreaming of what one can have is a bad thing now? All creatures, humans especially, reach for proverbial and literal stars. Yes they can be happy with what they can get but why not reach for such things? If you settle for mundune, you might as well prepare for death." Shaking her head then, "As if I sit around and count."

"I didn't mean it like that entirely, it is always good to have something to reach for, but if one focused too much onto that or what is truly unattainable then they forget the things they actually need, like food. I guess it is just better to keep the two thoughts balanced" Though a blink and he looked at her, she almost seemed snappy there, better be careful. "I see, well at least do you have a favorite gem?"

He wanted to correct her but knew she would take it wrong so he let it go. She was by no means the runt of the litter. Women were not even on the same plane as men when it came to physical size, therefore no comparison could be accurate. He continued to let her oil his sheath and then set a belt in her lap to show her another way to work the leather. "You can pick all sorts of things up from me. Assassin secrets and other things, too."
This dragon just confused her no matter what she said. "But you were marked. True, you didn't go through the entire ceremony but you were still marked." Shaking her head. "Love can be completely one-sided as well." But nibbling on her lip for a moment. "What is your name, dragon?"

"You should watch your words then...sometimes people don't get a second chance to correct their words or make their meanings clear. You could lose your head or the like befoer that time comes." Shrugging lightl. "My favorite, is me." As far as she was concerned...there was no gem better than her.
Letting him exchange items for her, she merely continued to help as he apparently needed all of this done and as she could tell from contact with him the man was practically covered in leather. "I thought you weren't supposed to share those things with those you may shank one day."
"No one said such subjects were easy to understand or go with." Shaking her head lightly...everyone saw something and thought it just needed work. Maybe she was indeed being too lenient with her handling of how him and her stood. She'd always let him have his way. "Jaebelltiah." Tilting her head lightly, "If I can't see Kaznec, can you at least take him something for me?"

He couldn't help the chuckle that bubbled out and lightly brushed her hair off her neck and out of his face. "Planning on pissing me off one day, Vryn?" Quirking an eyebrow and settling his hands on her shoulders. "You know plenty of your own secrets."
"Love is always complicated." She didn't quite know how to gain any further information or even if she wanted to. She hadn't been planning on thinking of such things that way. "I'd gladly do that for you, Jaebelltiah. If I can convince my Lady to allow you to see him, I will."

Clacking beads gained a noise from the falcon who had taken perch on her knee and had been curiously watching...wether he was watching to bite fingers or not was a different matter. She seemed not rattled either way. "Just being prepared. Who knows, we may want the same thing one day and have to quarrel over it." Smirking then, "Yes but I keep them to myself."
At least this one was accomodating and didn't all out hate her. Or so that's what was being presented. Nodding she grabbed her satchel with indeed had a set of clothes for him. Taking off the pendant around her neck that had originally been given to him by the laerethe she stuffed than in there too and handed it out to the other dragoness. "I don't know if he'll be allowed to wear too much, least it raise his temperature again but he's very much one for the comfort of objects."

Perhaps it was the lightheadedness or just all the information he was trying to wrap his mind around at the moment but indeed, moving had not been a good idea and Kaz more or less just let the golden male settle him back down. More water cooled its way down his throat as he untangled his messy thoughts. There was no plausible reason why they wouldn't let him see Jae. Even Cyvalor was here and he had no apparent reason to be... Delivering a message wasn't going to work either because he didn't know what to say. He just wanted to see her. "Jae was able to help keep me alive when the heat was too much. She won't make things worse, especially if your potion worked. Why can't I see her?" Only mild comfort was to be taken from Dyranthirim's assurances that she was alright. He had to see for himself, that was just the way things worked. Besides, he had an odd feeling that there was something he was overlooking. Turning eyes onto the light in his hand, he merely blinked. "Calm down, Areesa. We're married...?" When did that happen? Fellnathir got another inquiring look and this time, golden eyes swept over her entire body as he noticed things he hadn't previously. She reminded him of Jae... though she wasn't as slender and she was also wearing much less clothing.
