Jami stepped back so that the short, deadly arc missed his leg. He backed up a bit, allowing himself a bit more room, though he didn't attack. His eyes were calm and calculating, as if trying to predict Eldin's next move.

Sage_of_Icaria Finnished, Avor steps back to admire his work. Exspecting the Jedi to be gone, he would simply open the door and be free to wander the temple in peace. He pushed hte button to open the door and stood infront of it while thinking to himself ..cant wait to see what fools are in the training room, aught to be worht a laugh. There was a shirll hum for the pannel, and then sparks spewed from it, landing on Avor and the all over hte room. Avor's robe, that was made for cold and wet places, caught fire as it took on the hail of super heated sparks. Avor paniced, he tried to to put the flames out, but as he ran around the room it only spread. Then the firesupression system was activated, douseing the entire room in a cold, watery fire retardent, and then the door was automaticly opened. (( Come on, it was funny xd )) [ rofl ] Fina looked at the door curiously for a moment as she sensed something... odd. As she started toward the door panel to unlock and open it, the door opened. She looked in to see the fire suppression system putting out a fire on the robes of the man whom she'd locked in the room. She shook her head slightly, waiting for the fire to be put out, and then reached a hand up to the ceiling, turning the suppression system off with the aid of the force. She walked in and looked to the mans face. " How did you manage to catch yourself on fire?" She asked, her hands at her hips like a mother who was questioning a child...

Wild Cards Jami stepped back so that the short, deadly arc missed his leg. He backed up a bit, allowing himself a bit more room, though he didn't attack. His eyes were calm and calculating, as if trying to predict Eldin's next move. Knowing all too well how Soresu worked, he knew what Jami was doing. Or at least thought he did; Soresu practioners were defensive, and waited for an opening. With Djem So, Eldin would have to force their blades to meet, and overwhelm him with sheer power. As his blade went for and missed the thigh, he arced it up and curved so that it now came for where his chest would be, if he moved back.

Though he was reluctant to have their blades cross, as much due to his knowledge of Djem So as to his own lack of physical strength, he saw he had no choice. He brought his blade down on Eldin's, with just enough force to keep it from rising, and then he broke the lock, trying for a quick jab at Eldin's chest. Though he knew it was a dangerous game to play, perhaps a gamble was what he needed.

Though he knew it was a dangerous game to play, perhaps a gamble was what he needed. Pleased, Eldin pushed forward, aiming his blade low for the legs, then bringing it up at the last moment to shoulder level, and a quick feinted-thrust, followed by his leg coming over to knock him on the opposite side.

Seeing the blade coming for him, Jami allowed himself to trip over Eldin's leg, falling backwards into a controlled roll. He rose to his feet and reset his position, his grey eyes gleaming. He was impressed with the move, but he knew now that he had to be more careful.

Taking advantage of the recovery, Eldin spun his blade in a quick blur, then started thrusting, rotating sides and angles at a regular margin.

Jami parried each blow with a calm, even look on his face. He admired the perseverance of Eldin, but wondered if his fury was not close to the dark side. Then again, it could just be he favored the offensiveness of Djem So, just as he favored a defensive mix of Soresu and Makashi. Jami nodded after one particularly difficult blow delivered by Eldin, which he barely managed to deflect.

Eventually, Eldin knew he would be exhausted from his assault, but he was counting on Jami to make a fatal error. He began varying his attacks more and more, adding kicks, spins, and bounces to his attack, hoping to throw Jami off balance.

Jami's durasteel defense wavered ever so slightly as Eldin began to exert himself more and more, and though he saw that his opponent was growing tired, his frustration was also increasing. Again and again he managed to block Eldin, but none of these movements granted him a respite. Still, he still had far more energy than Eldin, and now it was just a matter of finding a slip in the other's swordsmanship.

Realizing his attack was gonna drive him tired before Jami ever got cramps, Eldin decided a new trick. Instead of pressing his charge with his momentum, which would've used less energy, Eldin broke to the side, charging right through Jami's defense, and nearly burning his arm. This allowed him a clean attack at his back. What he didn't know was that his right leg was too far back.

Jami cursed softly as the blade descended on his back. He took the advantage he had to move in to Eldin, noticing that his opposite was off-balance. He rammed into his opponent just before the attack would have burned his back. Jami pressed his attack suddenly, using swift fencing movements, aimed at Eldin's torso, trying to take advantage of his superior stamina.

Jami pivoted suddenly, with a broad sweep that was completely out of character for his style. He aimed for Eldin's neck, where he would be able to supplant his blade at his opponent's throat and demand a surrender. However, he neglected his own defense as he did this, especially around his torso.

However, he neglected his own defense as he did this, especially around his torso. Eldin's vulturous gaze immediately spotted the vulnerability at both his neck and torso, but instead chose a spot less obvious; Jami's own neck. When his blade was brought up in time, both blades were held at each other's neck, barely a foot apart. A draw. Eldin's brow was furrowed with sweat, as Jami's lightsaber sizzled with heat, just beneath his Adam's Apple. "You're good."
