And d**k being d**k, he was able to dodge the swipe with ease, and he still didn't attack.
"Look, Castle-- That thing on you? It's scared, I could tell when I looked at it. Look... Will you let me talk to it, or try to? Maybe we can get it off of you without anyone getting hurt."

All of Castle's clouded mind was trying to deny that the thing covering his body had any sort of feeling whatsoever. He knew, deep down, that it was perpetuating his anger, his bloodlust, and all of him wanted to keep it going. "It doesn't 'talk'... and neither do I!" Feigning another swing, Castle shot with his clawed hand and wrapped it forcefully around Nightwing's throat. Lifting the kid up nearly a foot, Castle walked him the last few steps until he held the boy dangling over the edge. "When I want... uuuugggghh... your g*ddamn... help..." His other claw moved to grab the side of his head, and he looked away from Nightwing and to the ground. "I'll... ask for it!" Without a wasted second, it was back in charge, and it, if a little forcefully, pulled the kid back; causing him to roll back along the roof.
It fell to all fours again, its wide mouth screeching and hissing; flexing with the effort. It didn't move from place, just seemed to heave with heavy, hissing breaths.

Damn that guy's grip was strong... d**k coughed and sputtered, slowly getting up. "God..." he muttered, standing up shakily.
"Uhh... C-can you hear me?" he asked Castle/the symbiote warily.

The symbiote looked right up at Di.ck and hissed. It slammed one of its hands against the roof, causing a rather large dent in the concrete, and let out a small screech. It seemed to look at him for several seconds before it clicked a single time and slowly began to back its large, crouched form backwards.

Okay... Got that squared away... d**k thought. "Okay... I was sent to find you. I understand that you feel really scared right now, and I think we can help you. Will you let go of that man you're attached to, and come with me back to the Manor? The woman you talked to wants to speak to you."

The words came but their meaning was mostly lost upon the creature. The only thing it knew for sure was that the woman, Brenda, from before, was something to get close to. But it knew that Castle couldn't stay its host for very much longer. His rage was too great, his mind too unbalanced. It clicked a single loud click, right before Castle's cries of agony rang out. Peeling away from the man's skin, the symbiote began to drop to the ground and gather in a puddle around Castle. He screamed until his voice went hoarse with pain, and wretched at the sheer length of time it took for the alien to separate. As the final scraps of the being dropped to the roof and began moving in a zigzag for Nightwing, Castle fell unconscious; silently his heart slowing to near-fatal levels. The living puddle reached Nightwing and looked prepared to pounce at him

"Ohhh, no you don't." d**k said, seemingly unaffected by the grotesque separation; he'd seen a lot of crap in his career as a crime fighter, after all. He crouched down, and opened a small container, putting it on the ground in front of Punishment. "You go there, so I can transport you safely."

The symbiote moved around curiously in front of the container before slinking its form into it. It bumped around the container restlessly, almost excited to be outside of the host it left in a heap nearby.
Castle couldn't move or think, and pure pain rocked through his body. It was almost as if his skin had been torn off, set on fire, then put back on before being torn off again. And the headache... shortly afterward, he feel completely unconscious and utterly immobile.

"There we go." d**k said, putting the container's lid on. It was made of clear, Plexiglas-like material, so the symbiote could still look around at things. He glanced briefly at Castle, and debated on whether to come back for him or not. The guy was a psycho after all... He briefly debated on what Bruce might do in this situation, and decided to come back for him. He'd be... relatively safe on the roof. d**k clipped the container onto his utility belt and carefully moved down the building, moving back to the Wingcycle and going back to the Batcave.

For anyone that recognized his voice, Artemis spoke over the bat-communicators in the area. "Guys? We might have a problem. I have a sinking feeling that we need to /leave/ Gotham for a few weeks and not tell anyone where we're going. Also get anyone you care about out of their homes and placed elsewhere. I think we might all be in danger." Then the transmission cuts off before anyone could speak to him.
Crystal stopped and looked down at her communicator built into her bike. She then pulled out a map of New York City and drew out directions to the X-Mansion from the dicks and handed it to Namor. "I need to go check on my cat. I'll catch up to you when I'm done here."
She then drove off on her bike to take care of some things. She stopped at her place in Crime Alley and pulled her cell out, calling Barbara. "Hey, did you just get Artemis's communication just now?" She ran upstairs as she spoke to Babs.

It was around this time that Crystal's cell phone started saying it was another call coming through . . . a familiar name. Arell, who once again had disappeared for a while after heading out to get food.

Crystal clicked the end button after she left a message on Bab's voicemail and her phone immediately started ringing. She smiled at the name and answered the phone. "Oh, you do /not/ know how good it is to hear your voice."
She sounded relieved and happy and then her voice turned stern. "Where did you go this time?"

Arell (if he could be seen through the phone) would have looked relieved here. "It's good t' hear from you too, ma cherie . . . after de day Kai, Dun' and I had . . . . " he said as he paused, waiting for her.
"Well, we went out fer chow an' de next thang ya know, we're beamed over t' Nevada, held captive by gov'ment goons an' wound up in Vegas. Doan' worry . . . it's just as weird as it sounds. How's thangs back home?" he asked.

Crystal made an agitated face and sighed heavily. "Well Artemis seems to feel that it is necessary to evacuate all the heroes and their families from Gotham ASAP but I have no idea why and he won't respond... I just got home to pick something up and then I was going to head back to the Manor."
She fumbled through some things in a closet as she spoke on the phone, holding it with her shoulder. Finally she pulled out a small box and smiled. "Ah-ha! That's where you were hiding."

Arell calmly drew a breath. "Musta' been from dem goons dat had us taken captive. Tell y' what. Get Artemis an' head towards Gotham Railyard. Should be a circus train dere belongin' to de Walcotts. Dey know Dun', C.J. an' I well. We kin use dat as a mobile base 'til we figger out whassup." he said, planning in his head. Of course. They must have targeted THEM through the information!
"Ev'rythin' alright asides?" Arell asked.
