Loonamist Can you be under appreciated if your story is unoriginal, tho? Lol Depands on how you play the plot out I guess. I mean Ohm is the whole "I have amnesia" Gimic and I think iv played that out pretty creatively myself Most people go for the "I wanna get my memory's back" plot whereas I went for "what if I learn who I wasn't isn't who I want to be" Do I REALLY wanna remember who I was or should I just move on with my life" approach and personally I've never seen anything for mute characters in ... well, pretty much anything but that one Japan-movie ( Which I still need to watch ). I personally think it's not about "being original" but rather playing old trops out in a different way. But that's just me. None the less I don't think anyone going to really see and appreciate our writings lol

i don't care if people appreciate my writing because i appreciate my own writing and enjoy it and that's all that matters to me.

There’s no real point if we don’t, after all, though I think Hollywood is missing out by not seeing what we’ve got ;D

To me, writing -and this case, lit rp- is just storytelling. Since days of old, the purposes of storytelling were to entertain, and to teach lessons of sorts. So, I feel that as long as someone's writing does one or the other, than it's appreciated. As for tropes, they're tropes for a reason: they're interesting concepts. Heck, my main man Dallas Tucker is just the mean bully with a cute hobby trope, but it's all about how you play it out. That's how you could have to characters that suffered from amnesia or muteness (to use KotCoR's example), and still see drastically different attitudes and actions. And, of course, we're always our biggest critics, so just remember to enjoy what you do first, and the appreciation will eventually come.

I ever tell ya'll how much I hate getting called into work? If I work all next week, as I'm scheduled, I'll have been working for 14 days straight and that's before I find out what the week after's scheduled looks like, so it could be longer stare And my boss threatens me if I try to call out due to a sick kid but the new girl doesn't show up and not even so much as a written warning ...
