I don't really like realism but everyone seems to think so. xd My preferences are cartoonish/stylish, sexy watercolor pieces. The only realism I've ordered is paquito's work and that's still artistic. 3nodding I just find this insects and dark colors really boring that's it. I'm curious of what the hype is. Anetra_Pendragon Chemie, how much is it, and are you getting the original? Yes I am. ^________^ And it's $100 for the smallest canvas size. I'm getting a coral reef background and all. O_O Lucky me the dollar is so low. ^_^ Another Shimitsu:  EDIT: Oh I've looked at this girls DA and she's really good actually. To me, the pieces posted here was'nt. >.< *hides*

You don't have to hide, Chemie xd It's all a matter of taste. I personally love the picture she did for me. It's precisely what I asked for. And Yumeh probably loves the pieces she did for her (considering she's getting another two XD ). That's really all that matters.

And Yumeh probably loves the pieces she did for her (considering she's getting another two XD ). That's really all that matters. yup, I definetely love it xD. I'm a sucker when it comes to odd, unique styles that scream the author's name when somebody looks at them, and Basia is one of those artists xD xD

To each his or her own, neh?
I dunno, just a personal thing, but negative comments on style annoy me when it's clearly a matter of personal taste. Like, "the perspective is off" or "her hand is too big" is different because it's crit, but...
Eh, self-insecurity, though. Cuz, like, I'm just thinking if I were Basia, I wouldn't really like to hear "What's so good about __?" even if people were gonna stick up for me.
Yeah, I know, this is a 'private' guild, but - *shrug*, watching your wording may help somewhere in time.

The little pursuer-of-drawing-realism inside of me has been sitting here going, "Booooo..." ^_^ Nah, there are artists out there who are really popular that invoke more of an "eh" response from me and there are others out there who aren't as popular who truly wow me because their style is more my taste. But I wouldn't ever say something like that. I'd hate to stumble upon "Oh that girl Aliena...her style is kind of wonky..." and so I'd hate for anyone to stumble on me saying something like that about someone else.

WOW! Cool group shoots Codie & Emelyn. I'm looking for something simular, who did? Gold/money?
And I was just wondering if there was something about this artist that I did'nt know, cause everyone said she was so great and I did'nt think so. I changed my mind now so it does'nt really mather. ^^ But artists styles have been discussed like this before in this forum and I don't see a problem with it. I would'nt like people to talk behind my back but they're free to talk about my art. 3nodding
