Monty shook his head. "I'll take that as not too long. What are you afraid of? That you might actually get help?" He asked, still with his nose in the book, erasing something and writing over again.

Monty shook his head. "That's a horrible way to think, elf. Someday, your going to find yourself in a terrible situation and if you don't have your voice, it's going to be worse. I suggest that you stick to someone's side until you get your voice back." He said quietly, and slightly gently. He didn't want to sound harsh to the fragile Kalore but he will speak his thoughts. Placing the book lower to look at Kalore he sighed. "Forgive me. It is not my place to speak." He put the book back up and turned the page, mouthing out certain words in his language.

Monty pondered that question. "Dusk isn't here and Eldin is out of the question. It might as well be Rave." He said, not thinking about himself and placed the book on his lap, writing something quickly, turning the pages rapidly to writing something else.

Monty grumbled another curse and shut his book. He stood up placing it on his chair and walked over to Kalore. "What did I say elf? I told you to stay put. Be grateful I don't throw you across the room for insubordination." He growled and took his arm, however it was gently, and lead him back to his bed. "Gambler isn't here. Most likely she is working in the office. Rave is here helping Kyin and watching that runt." That runt was Eldin and better Rave watch that boy than him because that boy had a smartmouth on him and he wasn't going to be sorry if he ripped that mouth off. "So sorry that your stuck with a demon, elf." He drawled and left Kalore to his bed and sat down with his own book.

Monty's eyes were slightly amused by what Kalore said. "I'm glad you still have your humor, elf." He said, closing his book to humor the elf and maybe help him forget about his pain for a little bit. "I would enjoy seeing you try to connect your fist with my jaw. If you can catch me before I knock you on your a** first." He said, his face serious but eyes brighter with amusement.

Monty looked at the paper and scowled. "A smiley face? Honestly who draws that?" He commented. He hadn't seen that smiley face since the age of the hippies. Then again it was still used for certain things but still! Who drew it? "You don't know my speed elf. But if you say you are faster then perhaps I should believe it." He said and opened his book.

The demon rolled his eyes. "No they are not, elf. This smiley face is better." He drew one on a separate sheet of paper that was hidden in one of the pages of his book and shown to Kalore. For the demon to draw something it was pretty good. Perhaps not as good as Kalore's but who ever said there was a perfect smiley face out there?
