"He's less a disgrace than the white and blue." So there and he knew she was right. She expected Kaznec's reaction and thus he slid easily out of her hold. Didn't want to hurt him after all. "Shh Dragonling. There's no need to yell. Why wouldn't you want him to be okay?" But inspected Kaznec over with her eyes to give him a little space for the moment. A roll of her eyes at Dyranthirim's gilded introduction. "Flattering as ever. Dy tell Shaleon to inform his...companions. They wanted to know. But they can't see him yet."
Attention came fully back to Kaznec now. "No worries, young dragonlord. You're safe here and no one is looking to do you any harm. We were enlisted to help you before you boiled in your own scales. How are you feeling?" Though she frowned at that voice. Who the hell was that? Or rather what...in fact as that what she thought it was?
Kaznec was just a little emotionally stunted, yes she knew that. But she didn't know if she beleived Des on this all...after all, she hadn't wanted to do it the first time but Kaznec had wanted to make sure she was safe and talked her into it. Because she knew what its base meaning was and it had been her reservations but those had gotten pushed to the side. "Everyone is afraid of things that can do them more harm than good. Isn't that why you haven't pushed with Hunter yet?" Change the subject, turn it on her.
"If you bury your dead as humans do, I suppose so." Shrugging...this was normal for her and she wasn't going to argue the fact. Roll of her eyes though, of course there was an underlying thing to this. Catching the bone lizard in her hand a flare of green magic after crunching bones and she opened her hand to reveal dust. "What makes you think they have a price?"

Cyvalor didn't get an answer. His mind was concentrating on appeasing his own concerns and questions at the moment and so, golden eyes watched the older gold dragon speak. These two were royalty? Did such hierarchies even exist amongst the dragon population? But that was the least of his worries at the moment. He had names and he had appearance to go by. Neither of the two carried any obvious weapons except those that were there by physical right, of course. In fact, they were barely wearing anything. Which might have explained his own current state of undress. But he soaked in the female's assurances and accepted the water offered as well, downing it all in a few quick gulps. It was cool against his lips and slid deliciously down his throat as well and suddenly, he had the feeling they had given him some already quite recently. Something cold to soothe the inner fires.
"Dry and... heavy." No, light. No, heavy... With the weight of something he couldn't explain, which made it all the more uncomfortable. But at least it wasn't pain and he probably did have these two to thank for that. He was still warm but not as core-shatteringly as before. His wariness toned down further as Areesa popped into view and he lifted a palm to let her settle as was habit. "I wasn't well. Where is he now?" Perhaps the Seon would be able to answer questions in ways he could understand better. They were all looking at him now and trying to soothe him, but something was still missing. And not just his clothes.

Watching the younger dragon take in his surroundings, he nodded to the description of how he was feeling. Typical, really. "You'll feel better once your body adjusts a bit. You were out for a while and used different stores of energy. You just need to give yourself some time to get back in balance." His eyes bored holes into the thing flitting by Nell's horns just as his body went on high alert. Could he eat that thing? It was probably best that he did as asked. He reached the door of the tent in two steps and delivered his message to Shaleon with the strict instructions that no one was to attempt to see him until permission was granted. Re-entering the tent, he leaned against the wall and crossed his arms.
"I know! The sun wasn't very nice to you at all which means I'm gonna have to talk to him. You should be friends." Her rune flickered annoyed for a moment and then she settled down in his cupped palm, still bouncing but much slower so as not to irritate his eyes or head or anything. "He's off sulking somewhere. Want me to find him for you? Or I could go get Bellah. She'll be REAL happy to see you!"

"Dyranthirim is right. That will pass. Once you get a meal in you, get rehydrated and are up and about again you'll feel better than ever." Slightly annoyed look to one high pitched ball of energy. Which got narrowed eyes at it started to go over her head so to speak. "No one is going to see him yet, Seon." Especially anything white or sky blue at the moment. A snort and she shook her head. "Your whole accompaniment will be staying here till you are fit to travel and we provide the Laerethe with what they need. But the important thing is that you don't have to worry about the sun bothering you anymore. You're magic and affinity is going to feel a tad off, but that's your normal now." Standing she moved over to scoop up Cyvalor...okay so she did like coddling him. "Do you feel well enough to eat, dragonlord?" And a look to Cyvalor as well, "And you need to eat no question, Dragonling."
Shaleon had merely nodded and hurried off to do as he was told, stopping in with each of the strangers that he found before moving off to ships and relaying information there as well. He was up, but no visitors. And just to ensure that he enlisted the help of two silvers who promptly took to looking after the ships...more specifically because of Rider implications. It was going to be tense enough with that dragon now up and kicking...they didn't need those two out and about as well making everyone uncomfortable.

"And what makes you think I haven't?"
A slight smirk to Bell.
"Humans don't do like we do. they have their own methods of marking and ceremonies. Which goes beyond scents and sex. in fact, Hunter used to have a marking from me until the Laerthe decided otherwise. though I suppose now he has a different one due to anger."
A shrug. before titling her head to a crewmember that had bounded down the steps, adn then giving him a nod and a wave off.
"Kanzec is reported to be awake, but thier not allow visitors while he adjusts to his surroundings a bit. and there's two silvers stationed by the ships to make sure we don't go playing...though...I suppose this means thier kind of forced into a position where you can bombard them with questions, doesn't it?"
"Because you haven't turned them over to the star pests yet. which implies your going to try for the highest bidder, rather then the proper channels. for someone that isn't a pirate, you do go about your buisness in a similar manner."
glancing at the information being passed along...eh they could tell them later.

"Because I think you're the kind of girl who if she went after what she wanted and didn't care of the consequences, then you'd have exactly what you want right now." But then it was explained out quite matter of fact. "I was told humans were never a good example to go by with such things. They can move on from one to another even if they've been together for years and the like." Quieting at crew and then nearly darting out of her seat at that news. Hands gripping the edge of the table she was at to stay put, she swallowed. "They'd never speak to me. I don't think anyone will five me the time of day unless that one woman says it's okay."
"Or perhaps I'm being selfish." Oh but there was golden opportunity here to get him back at the same time. After all, he didn't know all she knew and there was still payback to be had for locking her up when she was first here and trying to use her. Her instincts were telling her to let someone else perhaps take a fall...oh it would be a lovely thing. Reaching into a pouch of hers, she pulled out a shard between two fingers, holding it up to his view. "Good things come to those who wait...isn't that what you humans say Captain? I wonder...can I perhaps trust you enough to let you into the game I am hosting?"

"Doesn't mean you can't pester them until they answer just to shut you up. Or leave. whichever comes first."
she noticed the movement, but didn't say anything.
"That is true with humans. but the same can be said for dragons that choose to be with another but not mark. which I hear is becoming mroe and more common. As for the other, the only things I want that I don't have I'm working on. the necromancer offers a promise to fix one issue, and the other one I'll have to be very patient and careful with."
Okay...there was a trick in there someplace.
"that's the saying alright. and it's a game now? who are the other players?"
This was getting a bit interesting, wasn't it. and why was she starting this show of trust here now. nagging feeling that she was trying to lure him into a trap.

"Or they could maim me. I haven't heard on word said that no one was to lay a hand on me and I don't want to tempt fate thank you very much." Maybe he'd be up and about quickly, or maybe he'd even ask to see her. "Well...I'm not one of those types of dragons. Probably best just to go with the flow at the moment. Eat something and wait...patiently." Hopefully patiently.
"Of course it's a game to me. Why do you think I have these things? Because I want to play rule the plane too? No, I could care less about this place and can leave at any time. Have to have some fun where the opportunity presents itself. And I so do love to see you humans swabble over little pieces of crystal. It could only be more fun if Neerem joined in. But to play a game...everyone needs a game piece, now don't they?" Rolling it between her two fingers a moment, still holding it out to him. "Who in the end will control the sands you all fight so hard for? That is the game and the player pool has infinite potential so long as there's a game piece. Are you going to take a game piece...or not?" She knew that any pirate would be hard pressed to pass up a golden opportunity like this. "Or were you after a bigger piece to play?"

A slight raise of the eyebrow, and a hand moved until she mentioned a bigger game peice.
"How big a game peice are you willing to trade to me and for what cost?"
carefully neutral voice there. didn't want to lose out on a simpler deal by trying to grab a bigger one just yet.
"No they can't. Maiming you would get them hurt. thier young yet. adults, but young adults. I could take at least one down if I wanted, maybe both of them. and with all the fuss the little starry ones went through to make sure you guys were alright as you could be and kept alive, I bet they would really be upset if someone maimed you for questioning about your heritage."

Reaching into her pouch again she pulled out what looked like two pieces of shard put together, which they were, exchanging it for the one that she had in her hand. Now she was holding this one out. "This big." Turning her eyes to his general direction once more. "Would you suffice for me to say that you can pay me back later, you'll be happy once I tell you that ring is about anyway. I'm feeling frivilous."
"You can, I can't. Even a dragon younger than me is probably bigger than me in natural form here. Besides, I don't want to provoke anything. If I can't get anything out of these dragons then so be it. That's what books are for." Tapping her fingers on the table...she just wanted to see Kaznec right now.

Now that was a 'game piece' worth noting. And her cost was an IOU to be called in later. which definately gave her the advantage in this trade. but, that might be worth trading for. the bigger the peice, obviously the more potent it was, and if there were part of a orb that was able to later the plane, then even a shard could probably do impressive things.
"alright, you have yourself a deal then."
"You think I would let them do anything to you? you act like I wouldn't lift a talon to help. I think I'm hurt."
before resting her head on one hand while pointing at her with her fork again.
"so tell me. how many books have you ever seen on silvers or golds with anything even resembling the information your looking for?"

Schooling her smile to merely be content rather than wonderfully amused by him taking the bait of her set up, she handed over the shard, dropping it into his hand. "Splendid." Oh she was so going to love how this was going to play out. Power was something no human could resist...served him right to get a taste of his own medicine back. "Apparently, Captain, we can indeed get along."
"Now you're just twisting words. I just thought maybe you'd have more important things to do. Or you could go check on Kaznec if I'm not able to." She put on her strategical look a moment."It has to be somewhere. Or the older dragons know it. The silvers and golds can't possibly be the only ones so I'm sure I could find something tucked away in the library back home. Or maybe Master Koto has something...he's the Master Strategist and we have to have knowledge of all our potential enemies so he should know something."

"Apparently. When we're not planning how to kill each other without getting caught doing it."
A slight smirk. her poker face had small hints that a contented smile was covering for something. which could be that she was more pleased to get along with him then she was letting on, or there was something else she knew that was probably going to bite him in the a** later. maybe a bit of both.
"So is your lady friend going to be coming back? or is the moody male her replacement?"
"Yes, I am a bit. I got nothing else to do, and I'm as forbidden as you are from Kanzec. no one sees him right now."
watching her a moment.
"Actually, yes, they can be. Clan distinctions on a general level are wider known of course. seen in action by others. but learning how to harness it, how to use it...that information could very well be kept entirely in house, so to speak."
"Take me for example. in neutral form, I can use a wide variety of low level human magic. it's virtually unheard off outside metallic golds and silvers. Not that other can't learn it, it's that most think the potential and likely cost is too high. Do you know what that cost is, Bell? Or is it something only those of us dragons that risk it really know about?"
a slight smirk.
"Not everything can be learned in books. somethings you have to go to the source to know."

"Everyone has to have a little rivalry...that's what makes life interesting as you try to stay on your toes." Oh yes so so much fun...he'd probably come back all fuss and bother when he found out but she would enjoy his ire...after all, she had just done his dragoness a great favor and would probably be more than happy himself. Or miserable at the thought of living long as a elf may, perhaps even forever after that. Dragons were not immortal after all. "Shyrae is probably going to stay home and help with her mother....Kelligrin...well he's Kelligrin and he's like a scavenger. Opportunistic." And still a stranger as far as she was concerned. He was never going to learn so she should just have nothing to do with him. Besides...he kinda forced the water thing.
"They said he can't have visitors now...he'll be allowed later. Probably by his own insistance but I'm betting they don't want me near him. It's probably better if I stay put here. Then they won't have to worry about me causign trouble or whatever they think I'm going to do." Shaking her head but continuing to listen, shaking her head as she didn't know the answer to that question. After all, that was a skill not many indulged in. Disappointing how she took away the thought that maybe Koto couldn't even help. "We'll see...I've no wish to agitate said source right now."

Another moment of pause as he mentally assessed himself again. His head hurt and he was still sore but the two metallic dragons seemed confident in his information. And at least he didn't feel like someone had set him on fire anymore... But turning attention to the light in his hand, he blinked, something tightening in his chest for a split second. "Jae. Yes, where is she?" Like her name was a cue though, a few memories came flashing back. Hull of the ship, water everywhere... No, not water. Ice. And Jae had been there, and her eyes were slitted for some reason...
"Is she ok?" Speaking to the dragoness that called herself Queen now, frowning though at her answer. Regardless of his gratitude towards them for perhaps saving his life, he would see who he wanted to. Magic and affinity were the least of his worries, now that he (and the rest of the crew) seemed to be in a safe location and he had their confirmation for that. Thus he swung his legs over the cot and moved to stand, only to be grounded again by a rush of something to his head that made the world spin. Bad move, Kaz. Taking in a deep breath, he raised eyes to the female again. "Just more water, please." This was not going to work. He needed more answers. Licking his lips, he turned his gaze onto the gold male. "What did you do to me?"
