"Lets say we don't have anything like that. could you still track something with it? and poking the dragons is about crew pride. there's no reason for them to refuse to let Bell see Kanzec, other then thier own thick heads and prejudice. A little threats here and there isn't a bad thing."

"Exactly." He knew Nell would be right there with him in understanding how dire the situation could easily become. He wasn't about to enter into something he wasn't one hundred percent certain of, and even with the Laerethe pushing events, they weren't able to control it all. Unforeseen factors still existed and those frightened him the most. "I intend to. Meanwhile we have a marked dragon that isn't fully marked and dangerously close to wearing off. He's influential, powerful, and not a bad looking dragon either. Curiosity is spreading as well...sooner or later the uncertainty holding all back is going to be washed away."

A raise of an eyebrow and a slight smirk. "Are you inferring that you're worried that our young dragonlord will be snapped up by one of the dragonesses here? Perhaps, but a word will set them straight. We just need to make sure one of us is close by when he does wake. He's going to feel odd enough as it is, but then with a broken connection such as faded off marking of the other he's going to be even more out of sorts till he settles. We merely guard over him until he's well enough to leave."

"Makes it easier for accidents and the like to happen. I'm just bringing up the possibilities." Tucking a few strands of hair away from her face then and rolling her eyes with an audible sigh this time. "Then you're practically up a creek unless you can think of a way to replicate or get close to your signatures. If it even has one. I don't even know what you're talking about. And what do you have on your hand?"

"And yet your female golds are also very picky, but I can see how he is fine among their standards. If they could entice him into such a thing is the question. He is Laricalu's son...you remember how she was." Tilting her head some at him and sighing lightly. "I can understand something preventing it, but simply choosing not to is just not natural." After all, they both had thier own stories in these regards. "I'm sure you understand more than most, even me. Though I suppose that does hurt my pride." Trying to keep the mood light some by their normal picking at each other. "By the end of the day, she won't have a trace of him left on her. I just hope that doesn't cause rash stupid among our own out of fear of her."

"Nothing ever shines quite as brilliant as gold, they remember that." Giving him his deserved brief moment of quiet and perhaps it was for her as well. "You know us silvers...we want to show you that we can rival you all just as much as the moon rivals the sun." Sighing lightly a moment. "You say that when a creamy yellow smooth well educated and power controlling dragon walks into your midst. Then we'll see how you think on that statement. But I've given my warnings...I can only hope for the best or keep her close to myself."

"I thought I might be. but I'd rather not run into the source of the item again if I can manage it. despite the little runts, thier power doesn't control everything. and what it doesn't control, someone else does. As to my hand...it's a ring. I swiped it along time ago off an alter that had elvish script on it. don't read elvish, but figured it was a nice ring, I could pawn it off. hasn't come off my finger yet. Wasn't even able to grease it up and slip it off to sell it. Makes me wish I'd had an available pocket when I stole it."

glancing at the ring, and giving a shrug.

"Ten, eleven years maybe...kinda of lost count. Why?"


Des looked over at Bell, and gave a slight grin.

"Glad to see your awake and relatively well off. Feeling alright?"

giving the blue a pat on the head in her natural form.

"you rest up. you've done enough for now, we'll be quite comfortable for the time being. and change forms if you want, we'll get you something too."

Before returnign attention to Bell.

"Plenty here to eat, if you want to go to teh galley. most the crew is still onboard. only Hunter and Richards left ship, and myself, after the bathing. Hunter wants to be able to get out of here as soon as possible."

A smirk at her.

"wonderful. a magic ring that I can't take off without losing my finger."

shaking his head lightly.

"It's fairly complicated. all that we've uncovered says kill the heart, kills jones. there's some kind of consequence to it, but no one really seems to know what it is. but that would mean that if you have the heart, you basically can end his existance on a whim. which means he'll do what he has to to keep himself from falling. So obviously it's hidden away. probably someplace that's a right pain in the as to find, let alone think something could be there."


"So I noticed. their afraid of you. of what you represent. You've the markings of a Rider, but your not broken into the yoke. the very fact that the riders got to silver eggs is enough..but the idea that you can do what any silver can, is worse to them. you can use your elemental magics in neutral form. the natural breath weapon type magic."

leading her to the galley.

"Now imagine a rider dragon, completely brainwashed, but able to work in neutral form the weapons they keep them in natural form for. not a pleasant concept. And yes, most of the rest of us are fine. dehydrated, some are having some heat related issues, but mostly alright."
