It's like this, Rajan has killed a person before. 34 actually. And, since he doesn't really regret the first 31, the other four were much less a concern for him. So, despite being a usually calm person, he's very violent.

Well, the first one was his older brother. This was completely accidental and unintended. They were practicing Capoeira, one of his friend did that thing you do to make a loud noise with bubble gum, and he accidentally blew up his own leg, mid-kick,(This is where Rajan got his very lone wolf attitude and leg). After a while of his family and friends begging him to forgive himself, he finally got over that.

Before his Junior year, Rajan went back home to see his family, only to find out his Mom had died (supposedly) from a gun shoot wound she had received during a drive-by (this happened freshman year), his father had gone missing, his younger brother dead from being struck by a car running from police, and his sister hospitalized and put in a comma by the same car. Well, Rajan went psycho, tracked down the gang's "hideout," and killed most them of them, brutally beating the rest and then leaving the survivors to eventually die in the burning building. And there were girls in that crowd.
This is were the whole, don't mind killing thing comes in.

On one of the missions, the group was on he was part of a search and rescue group. Let's just say, some guy found out his prosthetic leg wasn't cheap metal, that and that Capoeira hurts.

Finally, around the time the group returned from that mission, everyone started calling family, and since, at that time, Rajan had no family or friends to really talk with, he went out riding. Unfortunately for the gang of people trying to break into a store, he was already thinking about the gang that destroyed his family. So... just to make himself feel better, he beat them to a pulp.... considered letting them go, and then killed them.

He's at that point now where if he kills a person, he won't see it as a really bad thing and even finds ways to justify it.

So yea... that's why.
