He had no real wish to know that elf, simply turned and focused on more prominent issues in his mind such as an imminent meeting with the Laerethe. "But for most, they do serve their purpose. Life is just too varied to be documented on parchment and bound so that generations later may still read about the same subject."

The elf stopped in his tracks. "What an immature attitude to have for one capable of wizardry. I hope at some point in the near future, you realize just how ignorant and self-righteous you are being with such a contemptible view of magic. Why did you ever stick to learn the arcane arts? You must be like me, born with power and without understanding. To be so... Indignant." Indignant?
"Fine, be that way. Live a life of misery and dissatisfaction by deluding yourself with such childish reasonings and mentalities. When you grow up, I'm sure some of the adults will give you a second though. As powerful as you may be, you certainly need to grow up more."
"Or maybe its just because you don't know anything about wizardry, you never wanted to learn wizardry, or you simply do not wish to be alive."
He blinked out of existence. His temper somewhat silly, as he kinda provoked that kind of response from the women. What ever logic he may have had at some point, was lost now and most likely meaningless.

"Books are nothing but stories of yore and instructions. Guides and entertainment really." But she stopped at the other had did, frowing at what he had to say. What now? She couldn't believe he had just more or less verbally attacked her. But being her...she reacted merely with a smirk to the spot where he was once standing. "Childish? I do not think it is I whom is acting the child." Name calling and tearing down someone wasn't exactly quite adult now was it? Not in her opinion. Another glance to Kaznec. "Is it much farther?"

It seemed as though hypocrisy reigned free over Ilindal sometimes, but he merely waved it off as the other elf disappeared, turning back to the other. "No, just up ahead. I would have offered to carry you but perhaps you wouldn't have appreciated that." A pause then. "I did, however, wanted to ask if I could call you by name. Shyrae mentioned that she called you Savvy? Would that be appropriate or do you prefer to be addressed as Lady Elf all the time?"

"You are a wise man, Commander. You would of gotten a boot or fist in an uncomfortable place if you had done so. Especially without asking you. Your foresight is commendible." Giving a nod and raising a gloved hand to Chylithair, letting the bird step down to her arm and she idly pet at him as they contiuned walking. "Savryn, yould be most preferred if you must call me by another name. Do I then assume that you don't wish to be called commander all the time either?"

Accepting the compliment with a mere nod, he continued forwards, making a sound of warning as they approached a final flight of stone steps. "Kaz or Kaznec is fine. Sometimes the title weighs too heavily on my shoulders even." But soon they were at the house and he led her to the room next to Shyrae's. "Your friend is in the next room, both of which are connected through this door. You are welcome to speak to the staff should you need anything and don't hesitate to find me either."

Steel toe to her boot tapped steps, giving her cue of exactly where things were. From there it was all easy for her to take the stairs just as he did, following him to her apparent room. Hey her own room too, snazzy. "Titles often do." Turning and tilting her head back some as if she was looking up at him from under her pulled down hood. "All duely noted, and your means of reparations are most appreciated."
Lycear checked the clock again, scrutinizing the positioning of the hands. What was taking that girl so long. Of course with her reputation, he could just visualize a whole gambit of things that she could of gotten herself into. His attention split slightly at the sound of his son's voice. Well, boy had gathered both elves apparently. If anything, he followed through with his words.

Hunter was smirking lightly. this was just too rich.
"cut the ropes, let her go, before she does something reckless."
they'd been perusing the island target, mostly looking for the lizard, when the white dragon had flown by, a little too close. caught a wing on the downbeat on the Chimera's mast, which sent her off course, and down into the sand. however her tail had smacked the harpoon net which they were going to try and distract the lizard with, and got her tail completely netted up.
"that's another net that we'll have to replace. you know sometimes I think we should just keep the thing loaded with an actual harpoon."
shaking his head and letting the Bosun's cat make things go quickly.
"Stop your struggling, white scales. you'll only get yourself tangled worse."

Yes she was cruising low...needed to see the land and such, though she probably should of listened a little better to Lycear and stayed higher...she thought she was high enough, though she realized she wasn't at the whackof her wing against the mast, which clumsy then took over and she had a facil encounter with sand. Immediately Bell had gotten up, only to find her tail caught and well, struggle instinct.
Though it took her a moment before she realized that this was not working, netting catching her scales and such on her tail. "Great, just great..." A look over, after all sitting on the sand as she was, she could look right over the deck of the ship and such, giving a snuff from her snout to Hunter. "Oh by my egg's shell! This is just great..." Lifiting her tail lightly...yeah not good. At all. "Little help?"

Kronos was doing the same thing that he did every time that he was slightly angry. He wandered the streets of the city in deep thought. It was his way of coping with a sometimes over the top flare for the dramatic. After a while he had come to the conclusion that while the Dragon Lord had meant to disrespected in his words, banter devoid of emotion often came off as arrogance to humans like he, it had started him thinking. There was a reason that the dragon lord was so eager to be rid of Kronos, Kronos couldn't fly, and against a creature who was as at much home on the ground as in the clouds, Kronos would prove more a hindrance then an ally.
It was that idea which had led Kronos into the part of the city in which he know stood. Every major settlement had one, a merchant quarter. Here a person or creature could barter, trade, or simply buy anything that he/she or it desired. And this time Kronos was in the market for a flying machine. Kronos could not be certain of what he would find here, but of one thing he most definitely certain, if he couldn't find it in this city, then it didn't exist.
Kronos had only been walking up and down the tightly packed corridors choking with street vendors, shop keepers, beggars and peddlers when he found something interesting. The second that he walked into the front door he knew that he was where he was supposed to be. He was going to make a comment to the shopkeeper, a bony old man whose wrinkled looked almost comical, about what kind of luck he had that his shop had not been demolished in the recent tremor, but Kronos decided not to, the old man properly had a bottle of luck he used in these kinds of events.

"we're working on it, whitescales. after all, I don't want my net torn apart anymore than you want your tail caught in it."
patting her snout lightly, giving that amused look.
"Now, what is a dragoness like yourself doing out here in the wastes near the only island I know of with a creature big enough to actually present a danger to you that isn't under the ground."
Yes his crew, under the bosun's whip, were being quick but careful to disengage her tail form the ropes.

Ishmael, the elderly owner of the store, had been looking at Kronos from the moment he had entered the store. To Ishmael, who had been in this shop all his life, when his father was the owner, knew that Kronos was in here to buy a very specific item. Ishmael was much to old for politics, he was simply interested in giving the customer want they desired, of course, that didn't mean that Ishmael wasn't about convincing his customers to buy the most expensive one that he had in stock. Ishmael smile to himself as he moved out from behind the counter, and made his way slowly towards the man his voice much stronger then his slender frame. "How can I help you today, young man?" Ishmael asked Kronos
Kronos had become so engulfed in his own thoughts that he had failed to notice the old man had moved towards him, until Ishmael had asked Kronos that question. Kronos gave the smalled jump as the turned to face the much older man, draped in red ropes and dark-wrinkled skin. "Actually yes you can, I'm looking for something that can help me fly." he asked the old man, "And mean I want to go high and I want to go really fast." Kronos said with a massively goofy grin on his face. If he was going to learn how to fly, he might as well do it better then even those born with the gift, right?
Ishmael smiled and cocked an eyebrow to the young man, so it was a case of dragon envy was it? "I have this gorgeous pair of winged sandals that you might like." Ishmael said pointing him towards one of the shelves lined with all sort of magical knick knacks. "Once worn by the messenger to the gods himself, or so they say." he smiled at Kronos his toothless grin.
Kronos took one look at the moldy old shoes, and could not help but distort his face in mild disgust. Little did he know that the smile that Ishmael gave him wasn't because Kronos has made a funny, no, Kronos had fallen into the salesman's trap. "Do you have anything, you know, new?" Kronos said. Ishmael smile became that much wider.
"Well there is one thing.....

He was petting her. Why did the humans do that when they were in thier natural forms? She snuffed a breath at him, wrinking hair and clothes and such, blowing loose rigging and things around the deck. "Wouldn't the more appropriate question be why are you and your crew out here when you know you're bite sized snacks for that thing? And if you're smart, you'd wait till nightfall to go around that thing."
Looking back to her tail, watching them work at getting the netting off, and resisting the urge to flick it around. Might as well behave. Even if she hated to stay still. "I personally, was scouting. My maps need to be current."

"Maps? maps for whom?"
A small smirk.
"I know what I'm doing. and I wager something very valuable is there with that creature. I intend to acquire it. Now if it's maps your interested in, I have current maps of the sand seas. after all, I have to be able to set a heading and navigate a course without risking running into something that will damage my ship, don't I."
A cross of arms.
"Besides, I'm not the one that ran into a stationary object. my question seemed a bit more prudent given such a clumsy action."
the rigging was about halfway off. you know, why had it not come to this white dragon's mind that shifting form might very well get her untangled or at least made a much easier time of it.
"You have a name, whitescales?"

"For someone important." Like she was going to just give out information. She hadn't hatched just yesterday. "So then...big lizards are guarding valuable things? I think you're mixing up your dragons with over-sized scaly things." Though then she frowned as he mentioned her clumsy little mishap. "Well...who expects a ship to be out here honesly?" A tilt of her head at him before she casually rested her head on the ship's railing. "Jaebelltiah. And you are that pirate captain that gets talked about all the time."
