Abel would've jumped up if he could, but it wasnt possible since Kaori's head rested in his lap. For good measure his ears folded back against his head and a low growl rumbled deep within his chest. His eyes narrowed on him, the male found himself looking up quite a bit to meet his eyes, though he was sure he outheighted the man who appeared slightly older than he. He was ready; to move Kaori, stand up and defend them, whatever he had to. But then the man spoke, he thankfully found all of this unnessecary.
Visably relaxing, his ears lifted up from against his head, murmuring something to himself to the extent of 'first good news Ive heard all day.' He took a deep breath, then quieted for a moment, contemplating. "Well Danaiss, Im sorry we had to meet on such circumstances," He paused a moment, considering what to say next. "We need to move" He said, perfectly blunt, "This spot isn't safe anymore, you're welcome to join us. Your help is much appreciated since we're down a few." He finished glancing at Kaori, and thinking about the sisters.

Selyna heard someone coming, but it was at the last minute, as she was a bit caught up in her thoughts right then. She did in fact jump and landed on her bottom facing the newcomer. Seeing how Abel reacted, she slowly moved to get herself up and prepared to help carry anything. I agree. Do you still think my home would be best or elsewhere? She looked at Kaori and in every other direction she could, feigning some kind of interest in their surrounding area. Truth was she didn’t want to look at Abel, aware of how angry he must be to be forced to deal with her right now. To the newcomer she shrugged and said The church hasn’t spread as far as my home yet, so if we can get there we…….. you may be able to find yourselves a new home. I don’t believe it would be best for me to stay, but I can get you there. Memories of why she’d left in the first place went through her mind, causing her to hug herself a bit as if suddenly chilled. Wanting to get her mind off of it, she shook her head a bit and asked in general Is there anything I can help with?

Danaiss nodded at Abel and Selyna. *I am lucky that he could not move* he thought. He looked around, they had to move that made no doubt. But he was surprised, he thought that the group was bigger. Then he recalled the words of the male in front of him 'we are down a few'...*this does not sounds good*. He hesitated as if talking was hurting him "I can carry her or anything." He pointed into Kaori's direction. He did not seem very at ease but that was his only way to say that he could and would help. He waited for an answer, standing still the only movement coming from his long dark night hair floatting slowly behind him. He looked at Selyna. "Are you cold?"

Looking towards Danaiss, Selyna gave a half smile before shaking her head. No, I’m alright…. Though that was hardly true. Not only was she traveling with Abel, a male who obviously had issues with her now, but she was to travel with another male, while Kaori was little to no help to her. The whole situation wasn’t something she was looking forward to, but she’d already decided she wouldn’t leave them again. It appeared that Kaori would be safe among the men, but they didn’t know how to get where they were going on their own, and just giving them instructions ran the risk of them getting lost and possibly captured. Unconsciously taking a few steps back from them, she was ready to go whenever they were and hoped that once there, she could part ways them rather quickly, though she had no idea where she would go. It had taken her a week or so to get here, though she’d stopped and did some sightseeing on her way, so it should only take a few days for her and Abel, but she wasn’t sure about Danaiss, or if Kaori being carried would hinder Abel in anyway.

Without a word he took off his cape and threw it on Selyna's shoulders...he wanted to say something like 'Bad liar' or 'Here you are' that's why people usually do but as usual his lips stay closed. While taking off his cape, a scar appeared on the base of his neck and the top of his right shoulder, in a quick movement he put his collar back up hoping that no one noticed. He was ready to travel with them. He had travelled more than they thought but he did not find necessary to share the information with them. He turned to Abel waiting to know if he was taking care of Kaori himself or if he wanted Danaiss to carry her. To the look on Abel's face he was ready to bet that Abel would not let him carry Kaori and this brought a smile to Danaiss's lips.

Abel shook his head in response to Danaiss, "Thats alright, I can get her." He moved out from under her, placing one arm once again under her neck and the other under her knees and standing smoothly to his feet. His gaze averted to Selyna, "How far is it? Is it relatively near these woods?" His expression changed, confused at her last statement.
"What?" His eyes narrowed on her, he couldnt understand why, let alone believe it. He knew they didnt see eye to eye, but leaving? "Why would you say that?" He cocked his head to the side, his eyes genuinely curious, not angry. He thought those problems were solved, he'd been civil, and they hadn't had any encounters. He wasn't thoroughly following her.

Kaori sighed lightly, she had fallen asleep almost immediatly after getting comfortable. She shifted ever so slightly in Abels arms as he picked her up. The colour was starting to come back to her cheeks now, and her breathing was deffinatly at a normal rate. Her skin was still cold, but that would soon change. In all aspects, it seemed as if she was recovering rather quickly, though it was hard to tell with her asleep. Thankfully, this sleep was a deep one, where she would not be tempted to walk about the astral plane and use up more of her energy. It also meant that she was deaf to everything that was going on around her, however. Thus she was not going to be much help to the others, lucky for Abel, she did not weigh very much.

Danaiss nodded as Abel picked Kaori on his arms. He was ready to leave. The sooner the better for everyone. He did not care how far they had to travel, with a guide they were sure not to lose their way. They all seemed ready so he turned to Selyna, waited for her to show the way.

Hinge 1 Both Reno and Demetrius had watched as the duel had left the burning woods and had become a slaughter as it entered the village. Both of them did or said nothing as the embers, flames and rolling hit spun around them in a dizzying vortex. Both watched as the villagers died and buildings began to blaze and Demetrius felt his insides clench and he suddenly, and very much, wanted to do something. But Reno’s stillness and utter lack of emotion held him at bay. The killing grew worse and finally Demetrius allowed himself to speak, though his voice was dull and dead.
“Will we do nothing?” Embers burst between them as the fires burned, consumed the wood and began to fade off, ash raining from the heaven down upon them, tears from the forest. Reno said nothing. He only stood there, wrapped in invisibility; his eyes watched the gray ash float before him like dancers at a funeral. “Reno?” Came Demetrius and again he went unanswered. The silence held the answer Demetrius had and both spun around with a vicious veracity as they both drew knives as a figure burst forth in a shower of still glowing embers and ash. Both froze as they recognized who it was but lowered their weapons as she spoke. Silence surrounded them then and for a long time neither said anything and then, his voice oddly cheerful, Reno returned his blades to his sheaths and pulled back his hood.
“Well, I most assuredly cannot say I had much measure of approval for the so straight forward method in which you attempted to bring that a anathema now, but the good of a few must be sacrificed for the good of the all, and we will do as the gods’ will. Conve Teronious Vertu.” Reno flexed his shoulders and gave a half smile, his eyes display for the mistrust he still felt for this woman. But despite his feelings he spread his cloak open let the dim like that filter though the smog catch the blood that oozed from his side. He grunted slightly. “Now although you bestowed these wounds upon me, I must say you have managed to gain some measure of my trust. I do indeed ask you to heal my wounds…” And after a long pause he added slowly. “Priestess.”
Lucia smiled at his slight acceptance, recognizing that she had gained a slight degree of trust from the Inquisitor, and possibly understanding. "My methods allow the sacrifice of any who have not turned to the Gods, this town has been seen by a priest traveling through the area, all in it turned have left the region to help him preach the word. The rest would have been nothing but trouble in the conversion." As she spoke she rested her hands over his wounds, which emitted a deep blue glow as the rate of repair at the wounds' site increased, and they mended. "We have little time, my targeted anathema has already left the presence of the others, if you but grasp my shoulders I can take you the region where they were last present as a group." She smiled, "Please be quick, we have little time, as from my target's words they are soon to depart for an unknown location."

The more Danaiss was analyzing the situation, the more obvious it seemed to him that they needed to leave and leave soon. The decisions will have to wait. He looked at them and knew that they would not be able to suffer another fight but they were all in good shape enough for a travel. He made up his mind "We have to leave." he paused and added "Now." They could feel that it was not an order but more a comment, an analysis of the situation.

Flinching as the cloak came across her shoulders, she threw Danaiss another nervous smile as she stepped further away again, under the guise of adjusting the cloak and getting a feel for it. A weak thank you was about to escape her lips, when Abel spoke. Selyna had just stared at Abel for a minute, her head cocked to the side, a curious look spread across her face. He seemed genuinely confused about why she’d not be staying there. Had he not heard anything I’d said about the men there and what they tried to do to me? Turning away from him, her eyes still locked on the shirtless man holding her friend, she turned in the direction of her hometown and asked as she walked quickly Would it be difficult for either of you to run a great distance? I think it would be best if we could put as much distance between us as possible before needing to rest. Her pace quickened as though she anticipated them saying they’d be able to run quickly for a long while, she wanted to get into a run as soon as possible. Disappointed that they hadn’t been able to find the sisters, she hoped they’d just run in another direction; it was a much better thought than the alternative.

Danaiss nodded and followed Selyna, increased his speed to match hers, although he was not as sure-footed as she was. He was trying to analyse Selyna's reaction. He has seen this look in the eyes of someone else...but he could not remember what... Suddendly he hit him. The Girl! When he had found this little girl dying in the forest, her body soiled by the vampire who attacked and raped her, she had the same look, the same fear...although the little girl's eyes were showing more than Selyna's eyes currently were... He looked at her, running in front of them, showing the path...*I hope she is scared of what could have been and not of what had been...* he promised himself to pay attention to his movements next to her.

Reno felt his wounds healing under the strange glow, the dim light humming slightly as Reno masked the strange pain that was filling his body. Reno had been healed in the way before but it still felt unnatural to him as he felt his severed and torn tendons re-growing and reconnecting themselves once more. He felt the flesh expanding, scabbing and healing perfectly. It happened swiftly and silently and when it was done, Reno felt no need to look down. The gash in his side was gone and he was whole once more. The red haired man took a step back and flexed his right arm as he listened to the priestess’ proposal in silence. A smile crept over him while she spoke but he refrained in speaking until she was finished. Once she was done, Reno looked over at Demetrius and they exchanged a knowing look.
“My dear priestess.” Came Reno, his voice calm and smooth, his confidence growing again. “I do admire you single mindedness. I know not how you know where this anathema is and in truest honest, I care not. But there is no reason for us to give wild and pointless chase. Though you do not know where they head, I, however do with a certainty given to me by the gods.” Reno took several steps, ash crunching under his feet. “They shall head west, I am sure of it. They are obviously not fools and they shall attempt to flee as far away from the presence of the church as they can. However, to the East is the heartland and the home of the church and they shall not flee there. To the north lies the Kingdoms of the Five Dukes and there the church is strong. To the south are the plains of Zanar and the open sea beyond it and what refuge lies upon those waves? None but Imperial controlled Islands and again the church is there. They shall flee West, to the kingdoms beyond the empire, where the church is little known and magic still practiced in abundance. They shall flee but to make it there, they must pass one point, a point all must pass to reach the Westlands. The Crasha Mountains form a natural barrier that is impossible save for one place. The Terac Valley. The valley is the only way through but to reach the valley, they must pass through the gates of Ashentor.” Reno paused and reflected. So many memories of those gates filled him. Just how many other anathema had tried the same escape root? How many times had anathema believed they had finally shaken their foes only to stare in terror ad Reno and Demetries would materialize from the air, Templar’s emerging from houses and seizing their pitiful prey?
“We have hunted them before and they often make the same mistake.” Came Demetrius, his voice rumbling low.
“Indeed, indeed.” Sighed Reno, pleasure on his lips. “Indeed we have. So then priestess, my companion and I shall make haste for Ashentor and with any luck should arrive before our prey, you are free to join us or free to follow them and sheppard them towards the city, it is your decision, but I do beseech you to decide quickly, time is of the essence.”

Abel glanced down at Kaori apon hearing her sigh, if only in curiousity. And there she lay, sleeping so peacefully. Sleep seemed like such a far off concept now. With everything happening he couldnt imagine his mind clearing enough to sleep. It was relief that she was beginning to atleast look better, helped along by her giving in and resting.
He smiled briefly before glancing back up to the other two. "Of course not" He murmured lightly under his breath, and followed them. He tried his best to run as smooth as possible, as not to jar Kaori, but it was awkward and after a bit his back began to cramp up and he gave up. He stayed a pace and a half behind Selyna, not sure where they were going. But he was sure they'd be traveling like this for some distance, he allowed himself to be distracted with thoughts of the stranger running alongside them. For instance where he had come from, and why he had approached them instead of stearing clear of their misfit group and all their bad luck.
